So cute, yeah may be it was closing its eyes when you took the pic does look freaky.
I think they are parrots, small kind of course.
We let out kouki when she used to have wing feathers she didn't fly but now even if she wanted she can't. Dumb bird
Though she is a kharabeh, she destroys half the furniture with that beak.
Thanks for sharing

I love african grey parrots. I used to have several of them. They're smart and can amazingly talk, not just that, but they know what to say and when to say it. Ours used to call everyone by his/her name when bored, say 'Assalamo alaikum' when the phone rings, sneeze or cough when he sees someone who just got sick.. even emitate each one's tone and voice.. he liked to sit on my finger, out of his cage..and stretch his wings, sometimes doing a short fly to try them, befor hitting something and falling miserably.
There is a wealth of info on (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_www.google(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/search?as_q=african+gray+parrot&num=100&hs=R2&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images"]african gray parrots in the web, fan clubs and forums.

Mashaa’Allaah, very beautiful!
My grandmother has a budgie but it is impossible to get near him, her old budgie was friendlier and he would happily hope on my hand, but it flew away one day when she left the back door of her house open, a[img]!

Oh! That happened to us once though they flew because an unattended child relative opened the cages.
Ah yes, lovebirds thanks akhi for correcting us.

Reminds me of something
Yes they are amazing and wonderful companions, though they need a lot of care. But they don't just repeat words they know when to use them and how. They reach the speech pattern of small children. She says small sentences like Kouki badda itrouh labarra (kouki wants to go outside).
We had it for a long time, she is part of the family now. Even calls herself kouki [enter family name]

No matter how much I try to explain it doesn't come close to what she actaully does. She scares my mom sometimes because suddenly she says something that has to do with what is being said around her. "Bismilahi AlRahman AlRaheem! "

What! Is there blood in the cage? You really need to take it to the vet.
I know birds change feathers but beaks?
Keep us updated.

Thank you sis Alhamdulliah and Muslimah

Yeah, there was blood on the other bird's beak.
Keep you updated? I released them.
They're too dumb, man. One of them went flying straight towards the car, banging its head on it and the other towards the gate, also smashing into it...then they hid behind the car for a few hours, and now they've gone.
Now I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have released them.

Inta khatar ala animal life. They won't live too long
Yeah, there was blood on the other bird's beak
Could they have been fighting?
One of the canaries I had was released by their former owners from a cage. When I found him he was very thin and was probably beaten up by the other birds.

They're always fighting so most likely it happened during one of them serious fights.
Yeah, I know...I shouldn't have released them.

they can fly like we can walk...a cage for them is like jail for us.
i think a good deed would be not buying one or freeing one.
AND Allah KNOWS BEST OF COURSE!
