After watching Muslim Unity Convention, I was impressed by speech by brother from the mpacuk organisation. He emphasized that Muslims should take active part in what is happening around them, eg if there is a news article which is biased against Muslims, then it is duty of Muslims to make their objection heard etc etc.
Online, there are many websites, I am not talking about anti-Islamic website, but those websites which unintentionally misrepresent Islam. It is our duty to make them realise that what they have posted goes against teachings or Islam or is a mirepresentation of Islam.
Recently I came across a such website, it is like wikipedia but is a online dictionary, where anyone can write what they know about the word. And in that website, many non-Muslims are having fun with definition of Islam and Muslim etc. The webmaster of that website apparently are not doing anything about it. So I plan to make a petition soon and will post it to them.
Then there other things like on Islam Channel, they show nasheeds of 786, which go against values of Islam, example their nasheed 'Make Dua' is clear copy of western group, plus they rap in their nasheeds, the way they say 'Allah' is disrespectful, and when they finish the nasheed the screams of audience mostly girls show us in what environment they are saying their nasheed. So we need to send Islam Channel also the message that we dont accept it.
For this to be successful, we need to unite and make our view heard...Everyone should insha'Allah participate.
