Indonesia has a great number of muslims and non muslims living together. 80% of 200 million of its population is muslim. Most muslims in my country were born muslims, but some of us know less about Islam itself.

We used to live in harmony with non muslims here. In some part of Indonesia, the situation has slightly changed. People tend to think that they belong to the righteous religion and others are wrong. More missionaries from west countries were sent to find the 'ones who are lost'

I live in the third biggest city in Indonesia, Medan. Muslims and non muslims are about the same number of population here. Somehow, I hope, that whatever our faith is... we will continue live in harmony.

That is a short story about my place.

EID Mubarak!! May Allah always protects us all. Amin ya rabbal alamin.

I might not log on for 2-4 weeks. I hope the management would not delete my account.

Wassalam,
C. :D

Why do South East Asians continuously destroy their environment and the rainforests? I think it's sad.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Peace,
I don't know about the majority...
But some of us thinks that he is just a victim... He is not a terrorist, just a plain Islamic teacher with plain teaching of Islam.
Ustadz Abu (that's how he is known) repeteadly said that he do not agree with such an unislamic thing (suicide bombing etc)... He did teach jihad as part of Islam, but not that way!

But many of us seem to believe whatever the media say about him.
Well, in a polling by detik.com, if I remember correctly, people who believe Ustadz Abu guilty is more than those who believe he is innocent.

Walaikum Salaam,

Maybe you can contact the centre there in Surabaya at their email address since they are in Indonesia and better placed than me to speak about the daw'ah there.

Walaikum Salaam,

I just tried it and it opened fine, maybe their server was down or you had a problem with your internet connection when you tried to open it. Try again and see, if it still does not work let me know.

Was-Salaamu Alaikum,

Abu Suhaylah.

I was wondering why you wanted an Indonesian website.

Anyhow, check your PM because I have sent you a link to a list of trustworthy websites.
