My right hand is BUSTED

I was playing footy at school - nothing unusual there and I challenged a guy for the ball, and he suddenly pulled up, right in front of me, it was so sudden, that I didn't even have enough time to stop, so momentum carried me into him, and my right hand's index finger knuckle was the exact point of impact, and this hit the back of the guy that I was challenging for the ball. I felt a massive rush of pain, and I thought I'd dislocated a couple of fingers. After a few minutes of lying on the field in pain, my whole right hand had swollen so much, that I could no longer see any of the knuckles on my right hand. I could move my thumb, and three fingers, but not my index finger, and I couldn't make a fist, I still can't make a fist, even now, a day and a half after the collision

I went to hospital, and initially, they thought I'd fractured a couple of fingers, but on the evidence of an X-ray, this wasn't the case, al7amdulilah. The pain is still unbearable, I've been swallowing Ibuprofen tablets like smarties

btw something very similar happened to me when i was 13yrs old.. but imagine instead of your index finger it was my right knee.. ouch!

Ouch! That sounds really painful. InshaAllah, you will have a speedy recovery, and be sure not to overdose on the pills!

Is it your writing hand? Do you have anymore exams to sit?

Now I've had a taster of what the less fortunate have to go through, without limbs, it must be very difficult for them. So we must thank Allah for what he has granted us, Al7amdulilah!

Ouch Hasib! That must have been a killer, it must have been a nightmare trying to walk!

there are sooooo many injuries people get from playing footie....my bro once broke his wrist! & he had to have a metal rod put in

Alhamdulilah, it's about 90% recovered, but it still hurts if I get knocks onto it

It's good to hear you're on the way to recovery.......remember now though that your hand might become susceptible to injury. Take care of yourself.....

my brother broke the same thumb 3 times......I'm surprised he still has it!!!
