These pictures were filmed by a local news helicopter when the cameraman happened to notice something moving in the waters of Lake Conroe in Texas. You can get an idea of the size of this beast by noticing that is a fully grown deer it has in its jaws!

This certainly isn't the first large Alligator seen in Texas. The one shown below was found between Athens and Palestine, Texas. Right next to a house. Residents, Anita and Charlie Rogers claimed they could often here the 'gator bellowing in the night. Neighbours had told them that they had witnessed a large alligator navigating the waterway by their home but the Rogers' put this down to nothing more than leg pulling from their friends. Below you can see a picture of Texas game warden Joe Goff walking by the 13 feet and 1 inch alligator he shot in the Rogers' back yard.
