Dear Sir/Madam,

I write in response to the notice of a speeding offence issued recently ( see attached sheet).

The circumstances at that specific time were extremely dangerous for my wife who was in the front passenger seat. She was pregnant and suddenly seemed to be experiencing low blood pressure and faintness to such a degree that she was not responding to my communication with her.

Needless to say I was extremely worried and anxious for her good health and that of her baby, and needed to get medical attention as soon as possible. I must assure you I tried my level best not to speed at all in my journey, but I had to act quick to make sure her health or the babies health was not damaged due to some unforeseen situation.

Not having a mobile with me, and not knowing the area of XXXXXX very well did not help matters, which I suspected to be an unsafe area. So I was looking for a place to park and to find a phone box, or to ask directions to the nearest medical facility or hospital.

I kindly ask you to take these unique and extreme mitigating circumstances into account in dealing with my case. Since this incident, I avoid travelling to unknown areas with my wife , in case she experiences medical difficulties again.

Medical records and proof of her pregnancy are available upon request.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
