:D

Recently got this surah translated to me:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake.

2. And when the earth throws out its burdens.

3. And man will say:"What is the matter with it?"

4. That day it will declare its information (about all that happened over it good or evil).

5. Because your Lord will inspire it.

6. That day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds.

7. So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it.

8. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it.

This surah really inspires me to be carefull of what I do, who I talk to etc.

(Sorry if it has been posted before) :D

Assalamu alaykum

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful

We are living in a time where truth is mixed with falsehood, in which none can distinguish this two except for those Allah give criterion, Allah says in His book

"O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allâh, He will grant you Furqân a criterion [(to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. making a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you, and Allâh is the Owner of the Great Bounty ( surah anfal, 8:29"

Here is one of my favorite verses from Al-Qur`an:

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim

åõæó Çááøóåõ ÇáúÎóÇáöÞõ ÇáúÈóÇÑöÆõ ÇáúãõÕóæøöÑõ áóåõ ÇáúÃóÓúãóÇÁ
ÇáúÍõÓúäóì íõÓóÈøöÍõ áóåõ ãóÇ Ýöí ÇáÓøóãóÇæóÇÊö
æóÇáúÃóÑúÖö æóåõæó ÇáúÚóÒöíÒõ ÇáúÍóßöíãõ

He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (59:24)

Al-Qur'an, 091.009-010 (Ash-Shams [The Sun])

091.009 ÞóÏú ÃóÝúáóÍó ãóäú ÒóßóøÇåóÇ
091.009 Qad afla[h]a man zakk[a]h[a]
091.009 Truly he succeeds that purifies it,

091.010 æóÞóÏú ÎóÇÈó ãóäú ÏóÓóøÇåóÇ
091.010 Waqad kh[a]ba man dass[a]h[a]
091.010 And he fails that corrupts it!

The above is a favorite ayat of mine from the Quran.

This was the ayat that was selected as a fundamental/basics
when we studied Ilmu Akhlaq. And i think, perhaps, there is much
wisdom on why these ayat is selected among the many other ayats. :D

Wallahualam bissawab.

''Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!

His wealth and his children will not benefit him!

He will be burnt in a fire of blazing flames!

And his wife too, will carry the wood. In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad.'' [Quran 111:1-5]

:D / Peace to all,

I have too many fav ayahs. Different ayah for different time. Here is my fav ayah when i am praying to Allaah but am lost for words. So, i take relief in this ayah by knowing that Allaah knows what is in my heart, my needs and my wants. :D

Þõáú Åöä ÊõÎúÝõæÇú ãóÇ Ýöí ÕõÏõæÑößõãú Ãóæú ÊõÈúÏõæåõ íóÚúáóãúåõ Çááøåõ æóíóÚúáóãõ ãóÇ Ýöí ÇáÓøóãóÇæóÇÊö æóãóÇ Ýöí ÇáÃÑúÖö æóÇááøåõ Úóáóì ßõáøö ÔóíúÁò ÞóÏöíÑñ

29 Say (O Muhammad ): "Whether you hide what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knows it, and He knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. And Allah is Able to do all things." Surah Al-Imran

Allah Knows What the Hearts Conceal

Allah tells His servants that He knows the secrets and apparent matters and that nothing concerning them escapes His observation. Rather, His knowledge encompasses them in all conditions, time frames, days and instances. His knowledge encompasses all that is in heaven and earth, and nothing not even the weight of an atom, or what is smaller than that in the earth, seas and mountains, escapes His observation. God desires to be merciful to you,...to make light your burdens, for man is created weak... Do not kill yourselves; certainly God is ever merciful to you. And whoever commits this agressivly and unjustly, We shall cast him into the Fire; and this is easy for God. (Quran 4:27-30)

Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds....74:32-38

Salaam!

I love Surah Asr because my dad used to recite it everytime we parted our ways, and it ends up that it's also my husband's favorite surah too :D

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the token of time through the Ages
Verily Man is in loss
Except such as have Faith, do righteous deeds, and join together in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy

Subhan'Allah...it's just so powerful and full of wisdom.

Another one that really makes me think a lot is Surah Ma'un

Talking about how some people are all for show, yet they will not help others even in the smallest kindnesses.

I just love the whole Quran!!

9. Surah At-Taubah (The Repentance)

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim

38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.

39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allâh is Able to do all things.

Asalamalakum,

O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be against rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts of your hearts, lest ye swerve, and if ye distort justice or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

O ye who believe! Believe in God and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before him. Any who denieth God, His angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone Far, far astray. - Al-Quran 3:135-136

It is amazing how a book can be so profound that every sentence in it leaves the reader in awe. Only Allah is able to reach into our souls like that. Here is one of my fav's (Surah Ibrahim 32-34). The arabic sounds more amazing.

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and causeth water to descend from
the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you, and maketh the ships to be of service
unto you, that they may run upon the sea at His command, and hath made of service
unto you the rivers;

And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you,
and hath made of service unto you the night and the day.

And He giveth you of all ye ask of Him, and if ye would count the bounty of Allah ye
cannot reckon it. Lo! man is verily a wrong doer, an ingrate.
