Assalam alaikum

Coitus is , according to the Holy Qur'an is banned ; not only that but the holy Qur'an gives the rationale behind the prohibition

God says in the Holy Qur'an what means

" They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an harm, so let women alone at such time and go not in unto them till they are cleansed[using large font size is not allowed] "Al-Bakra:222"

There has been some medical research conducted in this regard that during menstruation, abstaining from sex permitted better health, less (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetbioscience(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/books/endomet/end01-33.htm"]endometriosis and less likely to have the kind of bleeding pattern that may lead to a prescription for hysterectomy.

The Qur’an clearly states the reason for this prohibition, which is that menstruation is ÃÐì [using large font size is not allowed]adha (a harmful thing).
Doing so leads to an increase in the flow of menstrual blood, because the veins of the uterus are congested and prone to rupture, and get damaged easily. Also the wall of the vagina is also susceptible to injury, so the likelihood of inflammation is increased, which leads to inflammation in the uterus. The lining of the uterus is shed during menstruation, and the uterus is scarred as a result, just like when the skin is flayed. So it is vulnerable to bacteria. It can cause the spread of infection to the fallopian tubes, which may then become blocked, which in turn may lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy, which is the most dangerous kind of pregnancy.

The harm is not only caused to the woman , rather the man is also affected by this action, which may cause infection in his reproductive system which may lead to sterility as a result. The severe pains suffered as a result of this infection may be even worse than the sterility it causes.

Risks in having sex during periods (healthcaremagic(contact admin if its a beneficial link))

The likelihood of an HIV-infected woman’s passing the infection to her male partner is higher during her periods

A woman’s chances of contracting an infection, (for e.g. herpes) from her male partner, are higher during her periods.

Sex during menstruation puts a woman at higher risk of pelvic inflammatory disease(PID)

A woman is also more likely to pass on other blood-borne diseases such as hepatitis- B or C to a partner during her period

A woman is more likely to develop yeast or bacterial infections like candidiasis or bacterial vaginosis because the vagina's pH during menstruation is less acidic.

Alhamdulillah for the grace of Islam !

Your authority on this subject is a website called healthcaremagic(contact admin if its a beneficial link)?

As for HIV, herpes, hepatitis and other sexually transmitted diseases, your partner shouldn't be having sex with you while possibly infecting you with those diseases anyway, irrespective of where you are in your menstrual cycle. Not menstruating doesn't make these any better.

You shouldn't be having sex with someone who has an STD anyway, or more precisely, the person with an STD shouldn't be having sex with you. That was my point. I don't think you are going to feel any better about getting an STD because you weren't menstruating when you contracted the disease.
