Zayed Grand Masjid AbuDhabi wonderful lighting show

Subhan Allah, Taught man that which he knew not. Amazing.

But 2 points come to mind:

• I wish if it were Muslims who invented such technology.. (they're probably western non-Muslims)
• The light show is a bit overdone for a masjid. Perhaps one scene a day would be more appropriate for the dignity of a house of Allah Al-Mighty.

It was actually non-Muslims who came up with such amazing light show.
It was made possible by San Francisco-based creative agency Obscura Digital, which used 49 projectors to create moving patterns of crawling vines, snaking beams of light and blossoming floral displays on the historic building.[using large font size is not allowed]

Stunning: The projections, using the power of more than 1,000 light bulbs, created various images including traditional Islamic designs

In Obscura Digital’s 'largest and most complex mapping project to date', they covered the Masjid’s entire 600ft by 351ft surface with the combined brightness of 840,000 lumens (1,100 60W lightbulbs) and used [using large font size is not allowed]TouchDesigner software to control the show, [using large font size is not allowed]it was reported on The Creators Project website.[using large font size is not allowed]
The three-dimensional mapping illuminated the facade, four minarets and 12 domes of the Masjid with images including palms, gardens of paradise, night skies and the earth.[using large font size is not allowed]

Dazzling: The no-expense-spared light show was part of a 40-day programme which aimed to involve millions of people



Finale: To end the display, an image of the earth from space is beamed onto the historic structure
