Muhammad prescribed eating seven dates in the morning to ward off evil spells (Muslim 5081, Bukhari 65:356).
• A child resembles whichever parent climaxed first (Bukhari 55:546)

I don't know how many of these are authentic. If our beloved Prophet Muhammad(saw) said any of these then yes they are true. Whatever He(saw) said is a million percent true and we believe in it.

83. SURAH AL-MUTAFFIFIN (THOSE WHO DEAL IN FRAUD)


29. Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

30. And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery);

31. And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;

32. And when they saw them, they said: "Verily! These have indeed gone astray!"

33. But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers).

34. But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers

35. On (high) thrones, looking (at all things).

36. Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do?

You have to admit, they are a bit bizarre. Other religions have some weirds stuff, too.

i doubt the translations, some distortion of manings, ......
while generally, you may need to proof the opposite, for example you need to prove that there is no Satan neer your nose......while do you believe in god, god's blessings, spirit, Satan .... ??

generally, from a health point of view, and especially in places and situations of lack of water/detergents/facilities,the person'd better to didicate one hand for the low/inferior/bacteria/disease susbected works [which Allah chose to be the left one], while to keep the other hand, as clean as possible, for works that can protect transfering diseases like eating/drinking/shake hands [Allah chose to be the right hand]

• No one should enter the house through the back door (Qur'an 2:189)

i believe you just understand the opposite, Allah(s.w) tells:
002.189 S: They ask you concerning the new moon. Say: They are times appointed for (the benefit of) men, and (for) the pilgrimage; and it is not righteousness that you should enter the houses at their backs, but righteousness is this that one should guard (against evil); and go into the houses by their doors and be careful (of your duty) to Allah, that you may be successful.
this verse have some different interpretations, the most general among it is: the Arabs before Islam had some strong habbits that they believe it's too important one among them, the one should enter the house from the back door in some situations (Ihram, returning from a long travel,..). the Quran tell them that's not the proper rightousness to do so, but to obey Allah

this one is considered as one of the prophet's miracles, when a man asked about how to have male/female child he replaies ((my translation)) "if the male water preceded they will have a male, while if the female water preceded, they will have a female (by the well of Allah)"
we can understand this, now, as: if a male sperm (y), which we may call male-water preceded and penetrate the egg, they will have a male by the well of Allah. if a female sperm (x), which we may call female-water preceded and penetrate the egg, they will have a female by the well of Allah. and both x-water and y-water in the male water.......and all of that is out of both parents well.
it was well known too, from the Quran that:
042.049 Y: To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male or female according to His Will (and Plan),
042.050 Y: Or He bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of Knowledge and Power.

finally, you may proof the opposite by answering these questions:
how can the parents choose, naturally, their infant sex?
do you know, any two couples whom, both, have no medical problems to have kids, while they can't? why do you think??
