Zeising, whose main interests were mathematics and philosophy, found the
golden ratio expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants
and of veins in leaves. He extended his research to the skeletons of animals and
the branchings of their veins and nerves, to the proportions of chemical
compounds and the geometry of crystals, even to the use of proportion in
artistic endeavors. In these phenomena he saw the golden ratio operating as a
universal law.[49] In connection with his scheme for golden-ratio-based
human body proportions, Zeising wrote in 1854 of a universal law "in which is
contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and
completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a
paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic
or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its
fullest realization, however, in the human form."[50]

In 2003, Volkmar
Weiss and Harald Weiss analyzed psychometric data and theoretical considerations
and concluded that the golden ratio underlies the clock cycle of brain
waves.[51] In 2008 this was empirically confirmed by a group of
neurobiologists.[52]

In 2010, the journal Science reported that the
golden ratio is present at the atomic scale in the magnetic resonance of spins
in cobalt niobate crystals.[53]

Several researchers have proposed
connections between the golden ratio and human genome DNA.[54][55][56]Golden ratio in humans

"Another factor in the variation of tides is based on the orbit of the moon around the earth and the earth around the sun. Both orbits are not circles but ellipses. The distance between the earth and moon can vary by up to 13,000 miles (31,000 km). Since the tidal force increase with decreasing distance then tides will be higher than normal when the moon is at its closest point (called perogee) to the earth, approximately every 28 days.

Likewise, the earth's elliptical orbit also causes variations in the sun's pull on the tides as we move from the closest point to the farthest point (called apogee) over the course of a year. And just to complicate things even more, the moon's orbit is inclined 5° to the earth's rotation. So the north/south orientations of the bulge also varies between the northern and southern hemisphere over this same 28-day orbital period.

As the moon completes one orbit around the earth (about every 28 days), there are two times in each orbit when the earth, moon and and sun are inline with each other and two times when the earth, moon and sun are at right angles."

Word repetitons in the Quran

Apart from the miraculous characteristics of the Qur'an which we have looked into so far, it also contains what we can term "mathematical miracles." There are many examples of this fascinating Qur'anic aspect. One example of this is the number of repetitions of certain words in the Qur'an. Some related words are surprisingly repeated the same number of times. Below is a list of such words and the number of repetitions in the Qur'an.

1. "Seven heavens" = mentioned 7 times in whole quran

2. Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

3. When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

4. The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

5.The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

6. The word faith (iman) (without genitive) is repeated 25 times throughout the Qur'an as is also the word infidelity (kufr).

7. The words "paradise" and "hell" are each repeated 77 times

8. The number of times the words "Summer-hot" and "winter-cold" are repeated is the same: 5.

9. "Sun" (shams) and "light" (nur) both appear 33 times in the Qur'an.

In counting the word "light" only the simple forms of the word were included.

10. The words "man" and "woman" are also employed equally: 23 times.

The number of times the words "man" and "woman" are repeated in the Qur'an, 23, is at the same time that of the chromosomes from the egg and sperm in the formation of the human embryo. The total number of human chromosomes is 46; 23 each from the mother and father.

11. Human being" is used 65 times: the sum of the number of references to the stages of man's creation is the same: i.e.
