I am aware that p######ing gas is one of the conditions that causes one to need to make wudhu again, but I have a question. If one has made wudhu, and is thus in a state of purity for salat and so begins any of the five daily prayers.... and for one reason or another cannot help but pass gas mid-prayer what is the appropriate thing to do? Some of the medication I take causes this problem for me. Should I continue with my prayers and finish? Or should I stop, go make wudhu again, and start praying over again? Flatulence isn't that uncommon, so I would hope someone would have though of what to do in this situation before!

Wa 'alaikumu as-salamu wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh

If your wudu breaks, you should go and renew your wudu and pray again.

However, sometimes a person might have doubts whether he has passed gas or not due to the whisperings of Satan who is trying to induce doubt. If you have doubts whether you passed gas or not, you should continue praying unless you smell a smell in which case you know for certain that you have passed gas and you have to repeat wudu.

Take care, Ethan.

there is another thing brother, if yu do it at mid-salah, yu can leave make wudduh again and start off from exactly where you left off, this is only if you do not speak between that time period.
