wa alyko alsalam, brother Saracen21stC

i know it's in every Moslem's intention for a future work....while still i feel like, "insha'a Allah" is needed to be added to the first selection, yes, of course

Actually I find it hard to expect any Muslim to plan or have the intention for fasting anything less than the whole month of ramadan (unless of course someone is sick or traveling)

Other than being sick with a stomach virus the past two days, it has gone well so far. Insha'Allah it continues and I can keep moving forward.

salaam alaiykum,

Ramadan is edging ever closer to an end. I broke fast twice but much has been learned by me in this my first Ramadan. I have learned patience, kindness and understanding for others. I am not the angry person I was before this all started and I am also a lot humbler ( which I do not think would have happened if I would not have broken fast as it would have been a source of pride ). Of course, I will be making these days up. It is amazing to think that something as simple as fasting could have such a dramatic change in a person. hamd'Allah

I have also learned to control desires and the roots of desire. I have learned to place the will of Allah (swt) before the desires of my body as he knows best for us and only through his will can we ever find true happiness both in this life & the next.
