Salaam alaikum Brothers and Sisters.

My name is Irfan and I am new here. And I hope I will find what I am looking for.

I basically live in India and have completed my studies there Alhamdulillah. This year I am spending Ramadan in Riyadh and I wanted to perform Itikaaf in madinah. This is a great oppurtunity for me as I have not started working yet. I dont want to miss this chance!

I have travelled to Makkah and Madinah before but I never had the chance to perform Itikaaf.

I was wondering if there is any brother out there who has already performed Itikaaf in Madinah and can guide me.

I have a lot of questions!

Becuase I came to know that you have to registered to perform Itikaaf in the Holy Masjid. Now I am not sure of this process.

Apart from that if some one can give me some information on what form your belongings you are allowed to take inside the Masjid, where you can leave your belongings, where you keep your belongings during the prayer times, what to do when Eid is announced.

Sorry, these are too many questions. I just want to be prepared.

Any help from anyone will be very appreciated!

From what i know and from what i have done myself there is no process to register you can just stay there. generally you need to ensure that you do not have a great deal on you, 1 bag is what they allow.
