Dear brothers and sisters, I hope I am posting this in the right place but I am very confused and in need of help. I was born into a family with a Catholic mother and a Muslim father. My father is Muslim in name only. He believes in Allah but doesn't follow Islam at all - although he says he is Muslim. When I was a child I was sent to a Catholic school but was punished by my parents for following the rules of the Catholic school even though they were the ones that sent me there. Due to the hell my parents put me through I hated ALL religions for many years. Recently I have started wanting to learn about Islam (against my parents wishes) so I have been learning about Islam online without their knowledge. In the process, I met a beautiful Muslim man and we are wanting to get married. His family loves and adores me as if I was their own and it warms my heart to be part of such a wonderful family. The issue is, he is from Saudi Arabia and needs to apply for marriage permission in order to marry me (a foreigner) and he needs to disclose my religion. I am confused - Am I Muslim from birth as my father is Muslim even though he doesn't follow and I've never been taught how to practise or do I need to go to a Masjid to convert to get evidence to submit to that I am Muslim? I also don't want to hurt and disappoint my family but I don't know what to do as I know they are not going to like me following Islam. When I vaguely mentioned it to them one time they said they I have lost my mind and I am mental that I am looking to learn about Islam. Please advise what to do. Even though my father is Muslim by birth he doesn't like Islam. I am so confused. Sorry for the length of this post. Please help!

TLDR: twitter discussion, can a man advise a woman to wear more modest clothes if she is wearing a hijab. Long story: so i cant remmeber what the original tweet was about - but i posted 'i have seen women who wear hijab but wear tight clothes, and advised them to NOT do this i..e dont wear tight clothes'. a (revert) took offence to that and said who am i to tell a woman what to wear or not... I replied with hadeeth where if you see something wrong use force, if u cant use words, if not walk away, also how teaching good things gives you rewards... she also in the discussion accused me of being a pervert because i am looking at women.. (i mean come on, if i was a pervert, i wouldnt have advised women to wear modest clothing, i would be happy as they are!!) she said i should lower my gaze instead of advising women to be more modest... but Allah says to MEN to lower gaze AND WOMEN to dress modestly.. i also told her she is SLANDERING me which is a sin, as she doesnt know me personally to say i am a pervert.. (She didnt heed that warning!) then it dragged on a bit and then i said PROPHET Muhammed (pbuh) was a man, she said but you are not a prophet... then i said IMAMS are men who preach.. and then she said 'you are not imam'. and then I asked her to ask her local imam, and then next day she said she had and he agreed with her, i replied with so post screenshots, first her reply was its another lang, so i said i will use google translate, then she changed her story to 'i cant be bothered, i have better things to do' (even tho she had been replying to almost every tweet of mine! so in the end i just ended it as she wasnt listening to me.. i dont know whats wrong with people? (Unless i am wrong here) - it was a general comment from me as a FYI to women who wear tight clothes with hijab so they can rectify their behaviour and i get some reward.. :/

Brother: I think that you were absolutely correct in trying to advise this sister to not wear tight clothing.

Secondly, Quran simply states the fact that i.e If human were the author of the Quran, you would find much Ikhtilaf which linguistically signifies; "The disagreeing, differing, or varying, in state or condition or quality, &c.; being dissimilar, different, diverse, various, incongruous, discordant, or dissentient:] اختلف is the contr. of اِتَّفَقَ; (Ḳ, TA;) and is said of anything that is dissimilar [in the parts or members, &c. of which it is composed]; as alsoتخالف↓. (TA.) You say,تخالف↓ الأَمْرَانِ [and اختلف الامران], i. e. [The two things, or affairs, or cases, were, or became, dissimilar,, &c.]. (TA.) And اختلفوا andتخالفوا↓ (Mgh, Mṣb) [They disagreed,, &c., فِى أَمْرٍ in a thing or an affair or a case;] every one of them took to, or held, a way, or an opinion, different from, or contrary to, that of another: (Mṣb:) both signify the same. (Mgh.) It is said in a trad., [Make ye your ranks even when ye place yourselves to pray together, and be not dissimilar in your positions, for in that case your hearts would disagree]; meaning, when one of you advances, or stands, before another in the ranks, your hearts will be affected, and disagreement in respect of friendship and amity will arise among you: or, as some say, it means, your hearts will be made to recoil: or the صُورَة [or specific character] of your hearts will become changed into another صورة. (TA.) [Hence,] اِخْتَلَفَتْ عَنْ أَنْوَائِهَا, said of stars: see 4, near the middle of the paragraph. Also The being complicated, intricate, or confused. (KL.) [You say, اختلف الأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُمْ The affair, or case, was, or became, complicated, intricate, or confused, so as to be a subject of disagreement, or difference, between them: a phrase of frequent occurrence.]"

The Miracle of the Quran for non-Arabs ! By karkooshy One of the proofs for the prophethood of Muhammed ﷺ is the Quran, which is an imitable literary miracle of unrivaled eloquence. However, the miraculousness of the Quran is very difficult to realize for someone who is not specialized in Arabic, never mind someone who does not speak Arabic at all! Such a person would not be qualified to judge the literary quality of the Quran, nor be able compare it with other literature in order to determine its imitability. Fortunately, there are ways around this problem. One can appreciate the miraculousness of the Quran, even if one does not speak Arabic, by considering the following three facts: First: the Quran challenges Prophet Muhammed’s opponents (the pagan Arabs) to disprove its miraculousness, by getting together and producing a chapter that rivals the eloquence of any of its chapters: And if you doubt about what We have revealed to Our slave, roduce a chapter like it, and call upon your supporters other than Allah, if you are truthful[1]. Second: The pagan Arabs were expert poets. Likely, the best in the Arabic language in all of history. To this day, Arabic linguists use pre-Islamic as a template for grammatical and linguistic rules. This is proof that Prophet Muhammed’s opponents were competent, and that it is nomically necessary for them to have been able to meet the Quranic challenge. Third: Prophet Muhammed’s opponents were heavily invested in destroying Islam, and disproving his prophethood. The pagan Arabs imprisoned, tortured, and killed many of the early Muslims. They even engaged in wars against Prophet Muhammed ﷺ and his community. Wars where those pagans spent much time, much money, and risked their very lives, in order to stop the spread of Islam. With the above in mind, we argue: If a claimant to prophethood is aided by a negation of nomic necessity, then he is a true prophet. Muhammed ﷺ is a claimant to prophet who was aided by a negation of nomic necessity. Therefore, Muhammed ﷺ is a true prophet. As for the first premise, it is true because God is the creator of normalcy. So His aiding a claimant to prophethood by negating normalcy for him, signals His support for this claimant. More on this here. As for the second premise- Muhammed ﷺ is a claimant to prophethood who was aided by a negation of nomic necessity- this is actualized in the pagan Arabs’ inability to address the Quranic challenge. For if the pagan Arabs were able to fulfill the Quranic challenge, and given their extreme desire to destroy Islam, they would have spared themselves the time, money, and the risks of death in battle, and they would have simply cooperated with one another in order to produce a text which rivaled the Quran literarily. But they did not, and Islam ultimately prevailed[2]. Thus, the Quran resulted in a negation of nomic necessity. Namely, the inability of the pagans to address its challenge, when they should have been able to do so. To make the above clearer, Imam Al-Baqilani[2] compares the failure of the pagans in addressing the Quranic challenge, to a prophet who challenges his opponents to move their hands, when God prevents them from this act for the timeframe of the prophet’s challenge. This is a negation of nomic necessity for those people, and proof for this prophet’s prophethood. Likewise, God preventing the pagans from being able to address the Quranic challenge, is a negation of nomic necessity for them, and proof for Muhammed’s ﷺ prophethood. Therefore, Muhammed ﷺ is a true prophet. https://islamic-life-forum.blogspot.com/2018/01/the-miracle-of-quran-for-non-arabs.html

Assalamy Alaykum Brothers! Some great news here! Please, vote for Fursan al-Aqsa: https://www.indiedb.com/games/fursan-al-aqsa-knights-of-al-aqsa-mosque Today began the IndieDB Best Indie Game of 2020 Competition. Last year my game was selected among the top 100 Indie Games of 2019. Now I need your help to make my game be among the Top 10 of 2020, and below I explain why. A great Indie Games Publisher showed too much interest on my game, and I am now working on an updated and revamped build of my game to send them, and If they approve, and everything goes well, be sure my game will be a worlwide success, Insha Allah (God's Willing)! I am sure that whenever any publisher sees that players are loving my game, that players selected my game as one of the best from 2020, this will encourage ANY publisher to get my game, and releasing my game through a Publisher will mean it will reach a MUCH BIGGER audience (than releasing myself), and this means you will be able to play game on PS4, Xbox One and maybe even on PS5 and Xbox Series X! So EVERYONE wins. Another imporant news, is that my father (the greatest inspiration for my game), decided to help me in this project (after he has seen the HUGE sucess my game is making arround the web. He is helping by providing important informations about Palestinian Guerrilla and the israel x Palestine Conflict in general, Classic Palestinian Nasheeds (musics), helping me with Arabic Localization, he made some slight changes on the game narrative (to make it more realistic and historical accurate), as he lived this conflict (he fought for the freedom of Palestine). Now the game has a more Palestinian Revolution Feeling and the game on its actual state is much more polished, balanced and better to play than the 2 previous demos I released. I learned from my father to don't wait things come to me, I must make things happen. So I submitted my game to as many indie games festivals I could, and one of these festivals invited me to a business meeting with some publishers, and this publisher was there. They told me my game is exactly the kind of game they are looking for, a lot of bullets, blood and explosions :D :D :D. They asked me to send them a pitching document with all informations about my game, also they sent me many forms to fill (like my budget, my post launch plan,...) and off course a playable build of my game. So I asked them sometime to polish my game better and send them an almost finished version of the game (the more complete the game more chances for them accepting it). And now I am working like crazy to finish this build of my game. Here follows some new updates on the game itself:

#SURA_98_ALBAYYINA #SURA_98_LA_EVIDENCIA_CLARA #Recitación_del_Sagrado_Coran #Escuchar_Sagrado_Corán #islamkingdom

This is NOT a real raytracing effect, however, the final results are good enough, as I showcase below, and most importantly, it does not reduce performance, as it is just a material setup. I updated the Demo with this new shader and a better balanced difficulty. This new shader basically uses the Unreal Engine 3 Material Function called Reflection Vector and a metallic reflection texture (an image file), everything linked to the Specular Map Input and Multiplied by the Diffuse Input of Unreal Engine 3 Material editor, as you can see here: Here follows some screenshots Assalamu Alaykum!

To "install" this patch, simply copy the zip file to: C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Fursan al-Aqsa Infiltration\Binaries\ Extract the zip file there, then run the game direcly: C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Fursan al-Aqsa Infiltration\Binaries\Win64\FursanAqsaGame.exe

Fursan al-Aqsa Announcement Trailer - All the Power to the People of Palestine Watch the video: https://www.indiedb.com/games/fursan-al-aqsa-knights-of-al-aqsa-mosque/videos/fursan-al-aqsa-all-the-power-to-people-of-palestine Soundtrack by Rodrigo KTarse (https://www.youtube.com/user/rodrigo17290) the Great Insurgent Rapper of Brazil's Guetos! Updated Demo Download PC Version: https://www.indiedb.com/games/fursan-al-aqsa-knights-of-al-aqsa-mosque/downloads/fursan-al-aqsa-infiltration-pc Download PS3 Version: https://www.indiedb.com/games/fursan-al-aqsa-knights-of-al-aqsa-mosque/downloads/fursan-al-aqsa-infiltration-ps3 Download Xbox360 Version: https://www.indiedb.com/games/fursan-al-aqsa-knights-of-al-aqsa-mosque/downloads/fursan-al-aqsa-infiltration-xbox360 This Updated Demo of Fursan al-Aqsa - Knights of al-Aqsa Masjid will allow players to have a taste of the Campaign Mode, which has a gameplay very similar to (and inspired by) the Classic Shooter Goldeneye 007, with many mission objectives to complete on each "mission", such as destroying security cameras, sabotaging some israeli equipment, finding documents that reveal more details about the game’s plot, planting bombs, invading israeli bases, finding and murdering a specific enemy, rescuing Palestinian civilians, hijacking vehicles, taking down planes. Adding to this, there is a Multiplayer Map, Battle of Negev Desert, so you all can revive the Golden Days of Split Screen Multiplayer Games. On consoles (PS3 and Xbox360), the multiplayer mode works outside the box, as for PC, you need to have 2 Xbox360 Gamepads for PC. However, it works aswell with ANY PC Gamepad through the Xbox360 Controller Emulator, which is already included with PC Version. After you install the PC Version, just go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Fursan al-Aqsa Press Beta\Support\Xbox360ControllerEmulator.zip All the intructions are there. The full version of this game will be released in January 2021, Insha Allah (God's Willing) I hope you all enjoy this updated demo, as there is too much love, dedication and many sleepless nights spent on this project. Assalamu Alaykum, may the Peace be upon You! Nidal Nijm. Note: There is a small bug in the game (which does not interfere with gameplay), it is a bug in the version of Unreal Engine 3 that I am using. Sometimes, when the player leans against some walls and tries to shoot, the projectile of the weapon is not launched. To solve this, just tap in any direction (W, A, S, D / analog directional on consoles) and shoot again. This is because the starting point of the projectile launch in Unreal Engine 3 is calculated in relation to the position of the player's camera, and sometimes the camera is "pressed" on some walls when the player is too close, losing the starting point of calculation for launching the projectile.

Dear Dot, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. It's very helpful. After saying Shahada how do I then 'prove' that I a Muslim for marriage permission?

I think it's individual personally. My family is Sikh, i am Muslim..but they don't worship the saints as gods...they worship God Himself. I know i can probably never convince them to convert like i did, but me living by example, InshaAllah, perhaps i can make them see how their religion and mine has some similarities instead of differences. I think by trying this way, it helps us all out and allows us to work towards acceptance. Just my two cents :sl:
