4. Islam in Pakistan

People try to bring politics into this discussion but it does not contribute in any manner whatsoever to the subject of this topic. Islam is very much alive in Pakistan Mashallah. Millions of people of Pakistan are involved in the work of Dawah, which proves beyond any doubt how much the people of Pakistan care about Islam. The last congregation (Ijtimah) of the Dawah people held in Karachi had a turnout of 0.7 million and these mainly comprised of Karachiite. Now Karachi has a population of 15 million and if 0.7 million out of these turnout to attend a three day Ijtimah it represents 4.67% of the whole population of Karachi. It means that from the total population of Karachi, approx 5% literally left their daily lives and participated in the event. The annual congregation of Dawah people held in Raiwand near Lahore last time attracted between 1.8 to 2.2 million people from all over the world. After Haj, this is beleived to be the second largest congregation with almost an equal one held in Bangladesh every year. Those who are sitting outside Paksitan and making comments based on some article or seminar they attended are confused, rather mislead. They do not know of the ground realities here in Pakistan. As for Khilafah, only Allah knows best. The subject was Islam in your country. Well, Islam is in the hearts and minds of most Pakistanis and they are willing to sacrifice to follow its teachings. Pakistan Zindabad. Islam Paindabad.
5. Islam in Pakistan

AsalamuAlaikum, Brothers and sisters, allow me to apprise you all of some facts about pakistan. Pakistan is home to more than 150 million Muslims. Our history has seen both secularistic governments (Bhutto) as well as Islamic minded governments (Zia-ul-Haq). Consequently, the population includes both secular minded as well as religious minded people. However, the religious minded people of Pakistan represent the majority of the population. Need proof? See the results of elections held some time back. The religious parties won so many seats that the whole nation rather the whole world was astonished. We all should understand one thing. Change is coming. It is coming in Turkey where the religous minded AKP party won, Change is coming and is visible in Malaysia, in Indonasia, in Bangladesh and likewise in Pakistan. Infact, it is accepted by the scholars of Saudi Arabia and other Muslim Countries that the biggest work of Islamic Missionary is currently being carried out in Pakistan. The work of Dawah is so well spread in Pakistan that there is almost no area of Pakistan where the Missionaries are active and inviting more and more people into living lives as practicing Muslims. Change is coming. This is also evident even in the Showbiz of Pakistan. Our top pop artist, Junaid Jamshed whose song Dil Dil Pakistan was recently voted as one of the top 10 songs of the world (you may confirm this from BBC website by searching it) only recently gave up singing and adoned a Shara'ee outlook. He has a beard and is involved in Dawah work. His hamds and naats are very popular these days. He's the Pakistani version of Yousuf Islam/Cat Stevens. Same is the case with our leading cricketer Saeed Anwer. There are numerous other cases of our showbiz industry. I read a member saying above that the war against Muslims have further fueled the passion of Islam in Muslims. This is very true. Now you see more and more women in niqaab/hijab/burqah/scarf on the streets and elsewhere in the most modern metropolitan city of Karachi. You see more and more guyz with Shara'ee beards, caps and shalwars above their ankels everywhere. And this is Karachi. Go to the northern province and there the atmosphere is even more religious. As for Musharraf and Government, please note that it has long been the strategy of the west (US/Zionists/Freemasons/Iblees call it whatever you want) that religious people do not get to the seats of power in Islamic Countries. This is evident everywhere be it Pakistan, Egypt, UAE, Oman even Saudi Arabia itself. But this does not mean that the leaders of Islamic Countries reflect the whole population or that their mindset represents that of the whole Muslim Nation. Pakistan, Alhamdolillah is still the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. With all our differences of sects and fiqh, we still share strong Islamic bond and feel that success lies only in following the teachings of Quran and following the Sunnah of Mohamad S.A.W. My two cents. Wassalam Ahson Tariq Karachi Pakistan
6. SubhanAllah. What a nice place you ppl have here

Thankyou. I've read the "http://forums.gawaher/index.php?act=boardrules"]forum rules, however, I think i have already broken one. It is required that the new member should post atleast once during the first seven days of membership. I did not abide with this rule. Any problem with that? If so, please inform me as to how I may ammend this fault of mine. Jazakallah Khair
7. AsalamuAlaikum Wr Wb, My name is Ahson Tariq and I am from Karachi Pakistan. I belong to the Chartered Accountancy profession and currently practicing in Karachi. I am 26. I have been observing this forum since the last few months and have finally made up my mind to be a part of this cause, Inshallah. I do not have words for the mods and admins of this forum who are contributing so positively in bringing together the Muslim Community in such tiring times. Mashallah, you have a membership base of over 6,500 which tells alot about your efforts. Earlier I used to be a member of only one forum pakmil.co.nr a Pakistani Defence Forum where religious minded people used to meet and share news and views with each other. On the invitation of brother Saifullah who is also a member of pakmil.co.nr and the '"http://google/search?q=Islamic+forum&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official"]Islamic Forum', I managed to find such a beautiful place on the net. Will Inshallah try my utmost to contribute to this forum. Wassallam Ahson Tariq
