2. Eid Salaat For Females...

:D Question : I know that it is better for women to pray at home, but my question has to do with the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer. Is it better for women to go out to the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer or to stay at home?. Answer : Praise be to (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah. It is better for women to go out to the Eid prayer. This was enjoined by the Prophet (peace and blessings of (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah be upon him). Al-Bukhaari (324) and Muslim (890) narrated that Umm ‘Atiyyah (may (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah (peace and blessings of (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah be upon him) commanded us to bring them (women) out on (Eid) al-Fitr and (Eid) al-Adha, and to bring out adolescent girls, menstruating women and virgins, but the menstruating women were to stay away from the prayer, but were to witness goodness and the gathering of the Muslims. I said: “O Messenger of (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah, what if one of us does not have a jilbaab?†He said: “Let her sister lend her a jilbab.†Al-Haafiz said: This shows that it is mustahabb for women to come out and attend the Eid prayers, whether they are young or not. Al-Shawkaani said: This and similar hadeeths indicate that it is prescribed in sharee’ah for women to come out to the prayer-place, with no differentiation between virgins and non-virgins, young or old, menstruating or otherwise, so long as they are not going through ‘iddah (following divorce or death of their husband) or their coming out will be a cause of fitnah or they have an excuse. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen was asked: what is better for a woman, to come out to the Eid prayer or to stay at home? He replied: It is better for them to go out to Eid prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_a001.html#Allah"]Allaah be upon him) enjoined that the women go out to the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer, even the adolescent girls and virgins – i.e., women who do not ordinarily go out. He commanded them to go out, and he told the menstruating women to go out but to keep away from the prayer-place. So menstruating women should go out with other women for (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid, but they should not enter the place where the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer is offered, because the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer-place is a Masjid and it is not permissible for a menstruating woman to stay there, but it is permissible for her to pass through or to take something she needs from it, without staying there. Based on this we say: women are commanded to go out to the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer and join the men in this prayer, because of the goodness, dhikr and du’aa’ they may experience there. Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 16/210. He also said: But they must go out looking decent, not wearing adornment, makeup or perfume, so that they may combine following the Sunnah with avoiding fitnah. What some women do of wearing adornment, makeup and perfume is because of their ignorance and negligence on the part of their guardians. This does not cancel out the general shar’i ruling, which is that women are commanded to go out to the (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_glossary/glossary_e000.html#eid"]Eid prayer. asalaamu alaykum Portraying the Companions of the Messenger is Mockery and Revilement- and on top of it, it has a kafir playing Humza(Rahimahullah) Read below (www.)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_www.troid(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/articles/fataawaa/comprehensive/hindandhamzah.pdf"]Click Here By 'The Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Fataawaa' Translated by Hishaam Ibn Zayd
4. Loans

As-Salaamu alaykum I think its very dangerous for people to be throwing around Fatawa like its a baseball. Get a copy of the contract that you have to agree too and sign and take it to a trustworthy person I.E. somebody who has studied Islam, and let them check it out. Be very careful about taking the opinion of people on the internet. Everybody becomes The Grand Mufti it seems.
5. Have You Seen These Islamic Documentaries?

As-Salaamu alaykum thanks for the help, but is there anyway to speed this up, i have a very fast cable connection but this thing is moving slower then a snail. At one point it said it would take 99:99:99 to download it.
6. Have You Seen These Islamic Documentaries?

7. The Majority Is Not A Proof

:D Care to finish that statment?!?!?
8. Is It Islamic To Be Called Sir ?

As-salaamu alaykum Also, there was a muslim who came from the U.K. to give a lecture and on the flyer he had the title "Lord" beside his name...My first re-action was is this guy crazy, how can someone put that as a title to there name, he was from one ascpet of the government i believe...So can someone from the U.K. clairify what the title 'Lord' means when given to someone. Because i would never can him by that or any of the creation.
9. Prayer Mat

Also you don't even need a prayer mat to make you Salaah anyways, you can make it anywhere. Allaah Knows Best
10. Prayer Mat

As-salaamu alaykum I actually had a laugh about that one. But like one of the posters said, they should bring you the proof if they are the one's saying that, i don't believe its on you. Allahu A3lim
11. Madhab

As-salaamu alaykum There is a book called "The Evolution of Fiqh" by Bilal Philips. The book is really good in terms of explaining how the Madhabs that we have came about and how there were more then the current ones we have today, not just the four Imams. I would reccomend this book for you to read.
12. Non-muslim Parents

Asalaamu alaykum How are you? First i want to say, May Allah make everything easy for you. I'm probably not the best person to ask but i will try to help since i am a revert aswell as my wife. The first peice of advice i can say is to make Du'aa, make Du'aa in the Day time and make it in the night time(especially in the night). Increase your voluntary salaat. Also i'm sure your very nice to your parents, but try to be even nicer, go waaay out of your way to do things for them but do not tell them, just do it(trust me a mother will know). When my wife and i got married she wasn't wearing Hijab at first but ONE HER OWN she started to wear it, now she can't believe she didn't wear it before. BUt it took awhile, longer then a year before she wore it infront of her parents as she was so afraid. I can say it was very hard at first for both of them(me too being her husband), but my wife just kept making Du'aa and started to act more kindly to them, spent more time with them(talking, taking a walk down the street etc etc) and her mom noticed after awhile and started to accept her with her hijab. They are still getting used to it but alhamdulillah things are getting easier. Most things don't change over night especially a parent getting used to seeing her daughter in a hijab, it takes time and rememeber Allah is with the one who has Sabr and Dhikr. Also about giving your parents reading material, they might not be ready for it as my wife's parents are not either. Especially of what you said, how its really hard to find a good book that can explain the importance of wearing a hijab to NON-Muslim parents...So just increase your knowledge about the importance of hijab and try to talk to them about it in your own words. Hey maybe you could wright a book about this topic, i'm pretty sure it would be a hot seller as you have experience and from what i think, a born muslim won't beable to as good as a job and somebody who went through this experience. May Allah make you affairs easy...Amin Allah Knows Best
13. Ribena Halal ?

As-salaamu alaykum We are not to follow the majority of people just because they are the majority in a ruling. We look at the proofs and evidences and stick to the most correct opinions. That's why we take are ruling's from the Ulema not the people who go around to business depot making a thousand photocopies of some "haram/halal" list and handing it out. Allahu "you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_www.gawaher(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/glossary/glossary_a001.html#alim"]Alim Jazak'Allah Khair for the posts, i hope it clears up alot of people's misconceptions(including mine).
