  1. How To Control Ones Feeling

Assalamu Alaykum I would to recommend you to read and listen to the story of Yousuf Alayhissalam. Yusuf is the Leader of the People under the Shade under the Throne of Allah on the Day of Judgment because he was able to hold his feelings and did not act upon them. Having feelings is natural, but it is your choice either to act upon them or not. 1. If you act upon them you are committing a sin and it will be recorded for you on the Day of Judgment as One Bad Deed. 2. If you despite the feelings do not act upon them you are going to receive, insha'Allah, a reward because this will be recorded as One or more good deeds. Everytime you have the feeling and you resist you get a reward. However, I strongly believe that you should change your environment and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will replace you with something better than what you give up for His Sake.
  2. Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu I want to take on example from each Sahabi who received the glad tidings of Jannah while in Dunya: 1. Abu Bakr As-Siddiq: I wish to be an initiator of good deeds like Abu Bakr as-Siddiq 2. Umar ibn Al Khattab: I wish to have the generosity of Umar ibn al Khattab and I wish to follow his motto: "Others first" 3. Uthmaan ibn Affaan: I wish to adopt the shyness and haya of Uthmaan ibn Affaan 4. Zubeer ibn Awwaam: I wish to have the confidence of Zubeer ibn Awwaam 5. Sahaba with no name: I wish to clear my heart from any hatred toward any Muslim before going to sleep.
  3. More Than One Wife

It also depends on the environment. I think it makes a difference if someone lives as bedouin in the harsh environment of the desert or if someone lives in an "easy" environment in a city or village. I think that city life is different from desert life and desert life is different from living in the mountains or in the tropical area or even in the arctic regions. It is also a difference if someone lives the life of a nomad or urban. There are situations where polygyny is haram, makrooh, mubah, mustahhab, or even wajib. It depends on the occasion and the situation. Each case is difference. By default it is permissible which is halal. haram = forbidden makrooh = disliked mubah = neutral mustahhab = recommended wajib = mandatory I am right now trying to collect for each case information, so that I can give you for each situation an example.
  4. Taqwa And Ihsaan

Assalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu I would like to know what you would answer. I just randomly and spontaneously chose the answers.
  5. Jesus said: Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. Jesus prayed: Allahumma, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will. If this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done. And he cometh to the disciples finding them asleep. 1. Why does Jesus prays in this manner? 2. Jesus prayed to God and God answered his prayers by taking his soul and body completely without injury. 3. Why were the disciples asleep? If Jesus was exchanged with someone else it would be the right moment.

  7. Just Some Questions And Comments

Peace You seem to be a person who are still searching and I recommend you to search further until you find the truth. Muslims should not hate someone just because they come from a certain country or region of the world. We don't hate Jews for their Jewishness or the Americans for being an American. This is nationalism and nationalism leads to hellfire. However, this does not mean that Muslims are pacifists. If a group of people attack us then we have the right to defend ourselves and if there is oppression Muslims should help to remove the oppression. When Bush does something wrong then this does not mean that you are bad. In Islam we believe in the Individual Accountability. We all know that Nero was a bad guy, but does this mean that all people from the Roman Empire were bad? Satan/Iblis/Lucifer has been a bad guy, does it mean that all Jinni are bad and evil? You don't have to follow any religion just completely submit to the instructions of God Al Mighty and follow the example of the Messenger of God and believe in the Message given to him.
  8. More Than One Wife

Assalamu Alaykum Although, I personally prefer to have only one wife, I completely accept and submit to polygyny (one husband with many wifes). I did not find it normal first, because it was something unusual for me since in my culture it was not common. And polygyny was represented in a manner that was far away from the truth by the media. Ben Isra'eel also practiced polygyny and you find the proof when you read the Old Testament. Why Polygyny? 1. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allowed polygyny in Qur'an, but limited it to four wives. 2. Polygyny may be necessary to block the doors of Shaytaan when it comes to Fornication/Adultery 3. There could be women who would not find a husband in certain communities if they only one wife each. 4. The wifes could help each other out. 5. Expansion of family means a strong family. Many wives means many children which is good for the Ummah. 6. The Prophet told us that we should get married and have a lot of children, because he Muhammad sallallahu'alayhi wassallam wants to be proud of us on the day of judgment by seeing how large his Ummah is and how beautiful they look.
  9. I think that first we need to define democracy, as I found out the people have different definitions of democracy. If democracy means secularism then democracy is evil. If democracy refers to the three powers such as Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary then I don't know if it is good or bad. If democracy means to replace Al-Musharri'e and the Sharee'ah with the Legislative Power/Parliament then it is blasphemy. If democracy means Laissez-Fair then I am against democracy. I think the opposite of democracy is autocracy or even kingdom, but I think the opposite of kingdom is republic? I have not found any information in Qur'an and Sunnah that says that the Sultan cannot be elected through voting. There is no indication that forbids voting or referendums etc. I would like to have evidence from Qur'an and Sunnah that the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam disapproved voting.
  10. Assalamu Alaykum Is Ijmaa' not a form of democracy?
  11. Coffins From Paradise & Hell

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu I do not want to go off topic, but there is something I am wondering. No one can just enter through the gates of the First Heaven, Sama'ad-Dunya. We learn that the gates are not opened for the disbelievers. If the moon is already within Sama'ad-Dunya, how can a spacecraft go there and land on the moon? The gate could also be further away than the moon, but this is just a thought.
  12. Ubuntustudio

Assalamu Alaykum 1. What is Ubuntu Studio? 2. What can I do with it? 3. How can I install Ubuntustudio?
  13. Jennah

Assalamu Alaykum I think for each question above I could write an entire book. 1. When we die we will live in a so-called barzakh. This is a stage between this life and the Resurrection. 2. I will insha'Allah open two threads probably in the Reading Section: One about the difference between Samawat and Jannah. The other One about the Phases of Our Lives (From the Life in the Womb to the Life in the Final Destination (Paradise/Hellfire) 3. Prophets are buried in earthly graves and they live in the state of barzakh right now. I am not a Zombie or a Vampire :sl: 4. Firdaus are the top levels in paradise. Paradise/Jannah has many levels. Altogether there are two sections the upper one is Jannatul-Firdaws. There are some differences between Jannatul-Firdaws and the lower levels: In the Lower Ranks of Jannah we are going to be allowed to see the Face of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala once a week, but in Jannatul-Firdaws we are going to be allowed to view the Face of Allah twice a day. I wish I'll meet with you in Jannah and show you around.
  14. Jennah

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu 1. so during the judgement day everyone will rise back to life would that include the prophets too? or are they already in jennah? - yes, prophets will be on the day of judgment. All the human beings, jinn, and animals will be summoned on the day of judgment. When the nations go to Jannah over the Bridge the Prophets will lead them. Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassallam is the leader of mankind, therefore he will be the first who enters through the gate of Jannah. The people of Musa will be led by Musa alayhissalam. Prophet Hud alayhissalam will lead his nation to paradise and so on. 2.during the judgement day would Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala determine weather will go to heaven or hell or would we look for it ( Make sure you enter one of them and don't enter one of the seven gates of hell) im confused - What I mean that you follow the straight path while in dunya so that you don't enter hellfire and always ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy. On the Day of Judgement everything is already decided, but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not just throw someone in hellfire. He will show them the reason why he will suffer hellfire and in the end the person will realize that it is not Allah who is a tyrant to his slave, but he earns what he reaped with his own hands. You don't choose on the Day of Judgement where you want to go. It is already decided. 3.The lowest heaven (The entire universe we can see is within the first/lowest heaven.)sorry i didn't understand that - That what we call Outer Space or Universe is the First Heaven. Above this Universe there is another Universe which is the Second Heaven. 4.there are althogether 8 gates would jennah have gates too ?jennah is the eight gate maybe each gate has different levels? gates do not necessarily have anything to do with the levels in Paradise oh that answers it - there are eight gates from where we can enter Jannah. Those who enter Jannah will go through one of them. Some will be permitted to enter through all eight gates. We don't know how these gates look like, but expect them to look like the gates we know in this world. 5. Make sure you enter one of them and don't enter one of the seven gates of hell. im afraid i can just leave it up to Allah right - I am going to prepare an answer to this question. I cannot answer it right now just on the spot. 6. Yahiya who was that baptists are not muslims - Prophet Yahya alayhissalam was a prophet of Allah who lived in the time of Isa ben Maryam and he is a cousin of Isa. In the Bible he is referred as John the Baptist.
  15. Chat Room!

In a chat room, I guess it is also difficult to control chit-chat.
  16. Jennah

There are altogether Eight Gates. Going through any of these gates is wonderful, but these eight gates are special gates. One gate is called Ar Rayaan and noone enters through this gate except those who fast a lot. The gates do not necessarily have anything to do with the levels in Paradise or what status you have in Jannah. Make sure you enter one of them and don't enter one of the seven gates of hell. If you have three children or two an they die before puberty, then they may screen you from hellfire. The supplication of your children can cause you to rise to a higher level. Spouses will be together in Jannah.
  17. Jennah

Assalamu Alaykum The word heaven can mean two things: 1. It may refer to Jannah which is Paradise which is the final abode for the Righteous. The other final destination is Hellfire Jahannam. 2. It also may refer to Sama'a or Samawat. When you hear Qur'an recitation you may sometimes hear: "Samawaati wal [email protected]" Sama'a is the the heaven and Samawat is the plural of Sama'a. Here heaven refers to the Seven Heavens. There are Seven Heavens which are below Paradise. The Lowest Heaven is called Sama'ad-Dunya. The Heaven of this World. This is the Heaven we can see. You might think that the this heaven is the sky or the blue firmament you see when you look at the blue sky, but this is not true. The entire universe we can see is within the first/lowest heaven. In Qur'an, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says that Allah decorated the lowest heaven with stars/lamps, which means that every star that is discovered millions of light years away are still within the lowest heaven. Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam met with Adam alayhissalam in this first heaven. Above the first heaven or universe there is a second heaven or universe which is different from the first heaven in size and appearance. The second is filled with angels worshipping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. In the second heaven, Muhammad met with Jesus alayhissalam and Yahya (John the Baptist) alayhissalam during his Ascension. There are altogether seven heavens or samawat. Each heaven is much bigger in size than the previous one. Imagine you throw a ring in the desert and then compare the size of the ring to the desert. The ring would be the lowest heaven and the desert would be the second heaven. The seven heavens care before Jannah.
  18. Assalamu Alaykum My mother-in-law went for Hajj few years ago and she told me that she saw many female security guards.
  19. An Agnostic Says Aasalaamu Aleikum

Peace and Blessings be Upon You, Firstly, I want to thank you for joining this forum to learn about the True Religion and we await from you well-mannered, but honest straightforward questions. Secondly, I would like to know what is an Agnostic. I have heard about Gnostics, but not Agnostics. I am not familiar with this term.
  20. Ghurabaa

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu Please, watch this video in which Shaykh Yaser Birjas sings the nasheed "Ghurabaa'" Comments?
  21. Is It Ok To Fast Just Mondays

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu You can fast mondays only or Thursdays only. It does not matter. You can also fast Wednesday or Tuesday, but the better reward can be achieved by fasting Mondays or Thursdays. You can also fast on Friday, but then you should also fast either Thursday or Saturday. Fasting Sunnah fasting on Saturday alone is not recommended either, but it would not be bid'ah. You can also fast the white fasting days. Salam
  22. For Which Sin Is This The Punishment Like?

Assalamu Alaykum Are you talking about incest, may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protect us from that
  23. Thajjad In Ramadhan.

    Yes, you can.
  24. God Has Left Me….

Assalaamu Alaykum Suffering and pain in this worldly life is a blessing for the believers, because it removes their sins completely or partially. The world is like a prison and the believers are strangers in this world. We are wayfarers on a journey towards a final destination.
  25. Would You Call It Fraud?

Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu My wife found a nice job at the local Islamic Center in my town in Texas, USA as a Administrative Coordinator. They decided for her to work weekdays from 9 o'clock to 1 o"clock afternoon. The problem is that she is actually working full time, but she only get paid part time. After her working ours she still has to work and prepare and the most of her work she has to do are outside the official working ours. However, she does not get paid for this. My wife does not want to lose the job and does not say anything. However, I feel that in her heart she feel very uncomfortable. They do not pay her for her actual hours, but only 4 hours per day. Especially, during Ramadan the work is a lot and every time I see her, she is sitting in the office. My wife also dislikes that the supervisor gives her work right after the Taraweeh prayer. She is ready to go home and all of the sudden the supervisor gives her work to do in the last minute and this happened more than once. She is ordered to do this and that, but they don't compensate that. My charge is that they do not pay the full measure which is a cheating and the same sin that the people of Shu'ayb were punished for. It is sad that Muslims do that. What would you do?
