  1. Who Dies The Death Of A Martyr?

Assalamu Aleikum I don't know. In the sunnah of Rasulullah it is only mentioned that it is a tumor. Allah knows how exactly. I am not sure what pleurisy is. Can someone WHO KNOWS tell me what it is.
  2. Turning Away From Pointless Talk

Assalamu Aleikum One type of pointless talk is asking too many question about knowledge that does not benefit us. We seek refuge in Allah from knowledge that does not benefit us. Another type of pointless talk is giving answers without knowledge such as "I don't know.......but" or "no idea.........but" answers. Salam
  3. A Reminder About Death

Salam We live today like we’re gonna live another day tomorrow, when we don’t know about the next minute. When Allah wills good for his slave he intends good for His slave he uses him, Anas bin Malik asked “how does He use him? He makes you do good deeds. If Allah loves you, your actions will be of those that enter Jannah. And no one else’s love will get you into Jannah. If you have doubts in your heart of Allah’s law, His creation, etc. shaytan will pull that out of your heart, and make you die in the state of kuffar. If you have beliefs that hijab isn’t fardh, or beard isn’t fardh, or I don’t have to obey my parents all the time. If you have any of these issues, he will pull them out of ur heart. Signs of a good death: Saying the shahdah when dying (last words), he will enter Jannah. The only way these words will come out of your mouth is if you’ve lived your live according to these words. Dying with sweat on your forehead Dying on the night or day of Friday (protection from punishment of grave) Dying as a martyr; be happy that they died as a martyr. Dying of a plague (dies as a martyr) Dying of a stomach disease Dying by drowning or being crushed by a falling wall Dying as a result of child birth or during pregnancy; her child will drag her into Jannah with his umbilical cord. That’s a guarantee of Jannah. Death caused by burning Dying by cancer or any other disease is purification for the person. Dying defending one’s wealth, religion, or in self-defense. Dying guarding the borders of Islam; he will be spared questioning in the grave. It is better to guard for one day and one night, then to fast and pray at night for a month. Dying while doing a righteous deed Hasan (ra) was asked, “Shouldn’t we be ashamed of asking Allah for forgiveness, then doing the sin, then repeating, then asking…. And Hasan (ra) replied, “Shaytan wants to you have that attitude. If you commit a sin, immediately say “O Allah forgive me! because Allah says in Hadith Qudsi, Allah the Exalted says: "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it. " _________________ O Allah, let our last days be the best days of our life and our last deeds be the best deeds, and let the best day be the day we meet You. Ameen!!
  4. Ten Things We Waste

Assalamu Aleikum 11. Deeds: Wasted when done not for the sake of Allah alone and when not done following the way of Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam. Deeds have to be done with Ikhlaas and in the way of Rasulullah otherwise they are wasted, InshaAllah. 12. Devotion (ibada): It is not a sixth or a tenth of a man's devotion which is acceptable to God, but only such portions thereof as he offereth with understanding and true devotional spirit. Verily, a man hath performed prayers, fasts, charity, pilgrimage and all other good works; but he will not be rewarded except by the proportion of his understanding.
  5. Let's Praise Our Creator

Let's Praise Our Creator by Muhsinmuttaqi It does not matter how cold the winters are and how much snow is coming from the air and how freezing cold the air feels and how scary the fog might be, we trust in Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala and hold tight to our Iman with the goal in mind to strive for the sake of Allah. It does not matter strong the wind blows and it does not matter how heavy the Tsunami waves are, we still belong to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and we wish to meet Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. And we trust in him. Our goal is to live according to the Will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala submitting to him with love, fear of his punishment and hope for his mercy. Allah is the One who know what we need. We know that we have do fulfil our duties to feed the hungry and reading and following al-Qur'an. If we fulfil our duties then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala might choose for us the death of a martyr. We will arise from our seed which means that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will leave us decomposing in our graves until everything of our body is decomposed except a tiny piece of the body. This is the seed we will grow from on the Day of Arising. So let us trust in Rabbil 'Alameen. We all know that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala is the most just. He orders us to enjoin good and to forbid evil when a sin is exposed. If a person commits a major sin in the public then he exposes his sin, then enjoining good and forbidding evil is a must but if the major sin is committed in private then it is better to conceal that sin from the public. We need to be active in Dawah and other activities such as feeding the homeless, visiting the sick and comforting the dying before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala takes away our own health and strength. If we work for the sake of Allah and if we remember death regularily then we will be content in this life and in the afterlife. One of the biggest fitan in this life is lust, so let us supress lust and excessive compassion. In Allah we trust. If we work for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala then he will give us self-esteem and he will show us the straight path and he will let us walk over the Traverse, La Sirat without difficulty. Let us be follow the straight path like the Friend of Allah, Ibraheem aleihi salam. "Let's prepare for our requiem" means that we have to prepare for death and we need to be aware that someday a Janaza prayer will be prayed for you and me. We do not prepare for the funeral but we prepare for the time after death. It is amazing people are sleeping and they wake up when they die. Let us awake from our day dreaming. If you want that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala shows us what ArRahman and ArRaheem means, then you have to trust in Allah by keeping his commandment following the way of Rasulullah sallallahu aleihi wassallam. I urge you to avoid to walk the same path like the children of Isra'eel did. We must stop with our transgressions against Rabbinnaas before the Angel of Death is sent by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to take our soul. We need to be aware that the angel Israfeel or Serafiel is already prepared to blow that horn or trumpet that will bring the Hour. Let us follow that message that Jibreel conveyed to Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam and let us love the angel Mika'eel. If we keep the commandment of Allah and if we love the messengers, the angels and the message of Allah then we might have the mercy of Allah, InshaAllah, and Allah will grant us a wonderful place in Paradise and we will be able to taste the spring of Salsabeel and Kafur and we will be able to enjoy our eternal peace. Isra'eel aleihi salam was a prophet of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and a slave of Allah. He trusted in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, so let us trust in him as well. Let us be pleased with Allah as our Lord and with Muhammad as the Messenger of Allah and with Islam as our way of life and with al-Qur'an as our Imam, the guidance for the Muttaqeen, God-conscious. Let us trust in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Let Praise Our Creator!!! _________________ Whatever mishap may befall you, it is on account of something which you have done. No misfortune or vexation befalleth a servant of God, small or great, but on account of his faults committed: and most of these God forgiveth.
  6. Chained

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu It is also important for the husband to be content and to make it easy for their wives. Salam
  7. Being An Actor

Assalamu Aleikum According to Imam Anwar Al Awlaki, a person cannot be a good actor unless he is a hypocrite. If you are not a good hypocrite then you do not really know how to act. Salam
  8. Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu In a different thread I covered the ways we can be active in the masjid: Here I want to share with you what the wrong reasons are to go to the masjid. Some might think what wrong reasons could there be: 1. Don't go to the masjid to show off 2. Don't go to the masjid just for the reason to fill up your stomach 3. Don't make the masjid your living room staying there doing nothing. The masjid is the place of prostration. Staying in the masjid doing nothing is not beneficial. Those who love to pray in Jamaat in the masjid are those who will be under the shade but those who live in the masjid all day doing nothing might not benefit at all. 4. Don't go to the masjid to make the masjid a favour but for your own benefit and the benefit of the brothers and sisters around you. 5. The masjid is not a museum 6. Don't go to the masjid to argue with the Imam or other brothers 7. Don't go to the masjid to flirt 8. Don't go to the masjid harrassing Muslims and Non-Muslims 9. Don't go to the masjid for a worldly benefit If you have more suggestions I would be pleased if you post it. I try to post my post as eloquent as possible. Salam
  9. Wrong Reasons For Visiting To Masjid

Assalamu Aleikum I don't know who would do that. If someone gave a reminder that women cannot give Khutba or lead congregational prayer, I would say who would do that. Right now, in the news we see a woman doing that. People have all kinds of ideas when the day is long. I there is a brother or sister around who would do that then this is a reminder for him or her. Salam
  10. Ways To Get Active In Your Masjid by Muhsinmuttaqi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assalamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullahee Wa Barakatu There are many ways to be involved in your masjid: 1. Be A Visitor, someone who visits the masjid and joins the congregation regularly for Salah. Remember, Nabee Yahya aleihi salam taught his people to worship none but Allah alone, to establish prayer, to establish fasting, to give charity and to perform zhikr which of course was adopted by Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam. Remember, the Messenger of Allah Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam additionally taught us: a) Listen and Obey B) Don't Do Acts from the Time of Jahiliyyah c) Migrate for the Sake of Allah d) Strive for the Sake of Allah e) Stick with the Jamaat 2. Be A Minaret, someone who fills the Masjid with smiles, politness, cordiality and concern for other visitor. This person makes the masjid a beloved place for the rest of the Muslim brothers and sisters which encourages and attract people even from other faith to the masjid which might become the most beloved place for them on earth. I remember the following Du'aa (In English): Oh Allah, Place light in my heart And in my tongue light And in my ears light And in my sight light And above me light And below me light And to my right light And to my left light And behind me light And before me light Place light in my soul Magnify for me light and amplify for me light Make for me a light and make me a light Grant from me light Place light in my nerves And in my body light And in my blood light And in my skin light And in my hair light And in my flesh light And in my mind light Make for me light in my grave And Place light in my bones Increase me in light Increase me in light Increase me in light Grand me light upon light 3. Be A Student, someone who comes to the masjid to learn more about his deen. Join programmes such as Halaqah and Classes. Or just read Tafseer or learn Tajweed. 4. Be A Teacher, someone who teaches other brothers and sisters be it small or big. 5. Be A Follower, someone who follows the Imam in congregational prayer and follows the deen of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala 6. Be A Leader, someone who leads other brothers and sisters to righteousness and cares for the crowd. Leaders serve the community with their leadership and their ability to organize the Islamic Way of Life and to organize the community so that the community is one unity not like pearls scattered randomely. 7. Be A Brother or Sister, someone who cares for the other and someone who prays for the brothers and sister and someone who is a minaret for someone else. Someone who keeps brotherhood and sisterhood alive. Someone who makes peace between two brothers who have a conflict. Someone who serves the community with food, drink, and kindness. 8. Be A Helper, someone who assists his or her brother in work. They help one another in benevolence and piety, and do not not help one another in sin and hostility. 9. Be A Cleaner, someone who keeps the masjid clean so that it remains a comfortable place to be and give a good impression to the people of the other faith. 10. Be A Donor, someone who donates money for the sake of Allah to help the management of the masjid in case of finacial needs. They are those who prevent the administration from financial difficulties which can lead to fitnah and this fitnah could lead to unlawful acts such as riba finance just to keep the community alive. 11. Be A Listener, someone who listens and has an ear for everyone especially for a person from another faith. Gentleness and kindness are branches of Emaan. To have an ear for a brother will make the brother trusting you and the community and staying in the masjid becomes the most beloved thing in his life. 12. Be A Speaker, someone who speaks to people about people and to teach them about Islam and the Islamic Way of Life. Remember, you learned your knowledge to convey it. You can give Khutbahs or Halaqah or just invite Muslims or Non-Muslims to the masjid. One single word can be sufficient to benefit the community. 13. Be A Worshipper, someone who enters the masjid for the sake of Allah and to worship his or her Creator. They prepare themselves for this life and the life to come. 14. Be A Slave of Allah, someone who serves Allah inside and outside the masjid. They are humble and show taqwa and their righteousness toward Allah's creation is great. 15. Be A Collector, someone who collects good deeds and hasana which are so needed on the Day of Account. 16. Be A Muwahid, someone who does not just believes in the Oneness of God, someone who does not just testifies that there is none to be worshipped that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala but someone whose actions are only for the sake of Allah. 17. Be A Muslim, someone who submits completely to the Will of Allah expecially in the masjid. Someone who comes to the masjid in submission to Allah. 18. Be A Mu'min, someone who believes in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and his book and follows the way of Rasulullah sallallahu aleihi wassallam 19. Be A Muttaqi, someone who fears Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and be always aware that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is watching you an knows everything you do. 20. Be A Muhsin, someone who is righteous what it comes to behaving towards other brothers and sisters, someone who visits the brothers who are sick in the hospital or are lying on their deathbed. He or she is someone who cares to feed the hungry from among the brothers and sisters but also from among those of the other faith. 21. Be A Sadeeq and be an Initiator of good deeds. He or she is someone who starts a good tradition and leads other brothers and sisters to good deeds. He or she is also the first who stands up. When other are still shy to stand up the Sadeeq is already on the way to his obligation or hasana or he or she is already done. Do not wait with the good deeds until everyone is doing it. And do not wait with forbidding evil and enjoining good until the crowd starts doing it. Try to start and do it right now. Be a rolemodel. Salam
  11. Ways To Get Active In Your Masjid

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala guide you to the straight path and to firm Iman. May Allah make the best of your deeds the last one, the best of your life the end of it and the best of your days the we meet with our Creator, Alhamdulillah. Yes, I am back and I hope that I'll be more beneficial than before! ============================== =============== There are so many role we can play in the masjid. We do not have to play all role. Remember, some roles require knowledge and certain skills. Not everyone is able to lead masses. Not everyone received the skill to speak in public right away. Everything needs to be learned. Some of the roles must be done. Some roles are just encouragement to go. There are more roles that a person can play: 1. Be An Inviter, someone who invites people to the masjid 2. Be A Muezzin, someone who calls others to prayer 3. Be An Imam who guides others to the truth 4. Be A Qari, someone who comes to the masjid to learn Qur'an and to read or recite al-Qur'an

  13. Knowledge Is What Allah & His Prophet (saw) Said

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu Jazzakallah Khair for sharing this reminder. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant you Jannatul-Firdaus. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala reward you in this life and in the afterlife and may Allah make your best deed the last one, the best part of your life the end of it and the best of your days the Day we Meet Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and may Allah make it possible for us to combine with Rasulullah sallallahu aleihi wassallam at his pool of al-Kawthar. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the story of Yahya aleihi salam, the prophet of Islam taught his people to worship none but Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, to establish Salah, to establish Fasting, to give zakat and sadaqa and to do zhikr. Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam added five more rules: 1. Stick with the congregation (jamaat) 2. Hijrah 3. Striving for the sake of Allah 4. Preventing everything the is connected with Jahiliyyah 5. LISTEN AND OBEY Source: Lecture Lives of the Prophets by Imam Anwar Al Awlaki: Story of Yahya aleihi salam Salam
  14. Chosen Ayat From Quran With Translation...

I really like what you wrote and I hope that your website will be beneficial for Muslims and for people of the other faith. May Allah place light in your heart, soul and mind and may he make you a light for others. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The reality shows that people are sleeping and wake up when they die. Hopefully, we wake up before we die. There are people who procastinate in this life. They think they can postpone the good deeds and their repentance, while they do not know when the Angel of Death aleihi salam is commanded to take his or her soul. They procastinate and they indulge in lengthy hopes which is one of the signs of their unawareness or ignorance concerning the reality of death and the afterlife. We find that these (and I am not excluding myself) people procastinate by postponing everything to the future. However, the same people will not stop procastinating when they wake up in their graves or when the barzakh is keeping them away from going back. They continue with their procastinations but this time they what to go back. In this life they procastinate by postponing to the future and in the afterlife the procastinate by wanting to go back and to do the good deeds but it is to late. They do never stop procastinating and they do not live in the "present". In their minds are either future or past. Those who did not procastinate in this life, InshaAllah, do not procastinate. They do the good deeds right away and they will be content in the afterlife. They don't look back. They are content with the present and they are impatient to see the future but the life in dunya is not on their minds anymore. The wish to meet with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
