  1. Law Of Prophet Moses

Not only did He teach it but He lived it and the prophecies concerning the Messiah foretold it! This is what strikes me peculiar about Islam actually. Muslims claim to believe ''all the prophets'' yet all the prophets spoke of Jesus as the One. Jesus Himself speaks to us through the prophets before Him! “ Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit Have[a] sent Me.†(www.)"http://biblegateway/passage/?search=isaiah%2048:16;&version=50;"]Isaiah 48:16[/url]
  2. "eloi, Eloi, Lema Sabachthani?"

Jesus referred to Himself as ''the Son." (as foretold in Scripture) And as the Son He was pleading to the Father. First of all Id like to point out that Jesus is not a 'child' of God. God didnt make Him. The title "Son of God" shows us how He relates to His Father. Jesus Himself is God. Anyway, the answer is ''love." He did it out of love for us. He didnt have to do it or need to but chose to! Thats whats so mindboggling!!! "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." He was perfectly submissive to the Father's will. This plan was in motion from before Creation. God promised Adam and Eve and warned the serpent that "He will bruise your head, and you will bruise His hell". Humility. " Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phillipians 2:5-11 Jesus was fully God. And fully Man. As a Man He was deeply distressed by what awaited Him. Yet He still wished to do God's will!!! "No as I will but Your will be done."
  3. Hello! Bible About Islam!

Isaac and Ishmael were definitely brothers. No disagreement here. Maybe if God were talking to Isaac when He said, "your brethren" then your argument would have made sense. But God wasnt talking to Isaac. He was talking to the children of israel. The children of israel were the descendants of israels children, his 12 sons. The context makes it clear that God is prophecying a prophet from their midst aka from among their brethren. The Scripture shows that God promised a King from "among their brethren" as well, not a foreigner. This, to Jews and Christians, isnt an issue at all. By a 'prophet like Moses from among their brethren' God meant a great israelite prophet, simple as that. Jesus, born under the Law, was the greatest "Prophet" mankind has ever seen. It turns out that there are many comparisons between the two, and if you really want to see one I'll show you my favorite one: Thru Moses God delivered His chosen nation out of the bondage of slavery into the promised land. Thru Jesus God delivered adiBOOM out of the bondage of slavery into everlasting life! AMEN!!!! Khamosh, believe it or not, but I pray for you everyday. May God open your eyes so that you may see the truth, and the truth may set you free.
  4. Hello! Bible About Islam!

This is enough already. God was talking to the children of israel. israel had 12 sons and by this time they had multiplied to the millions thus the children of israel. It is clear that brethren means israelites!
  5. Law Of Prophet Moses

Jesus said that you will know them by their fruits. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit, and a good tree cannot bear bad fruit. A person who has been born again will keep the Law, not out of fear of Hell (since he has been fully reedemed) but out of gratefulness, love, and respect for God. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 Anyone can claim to be a Christian, but Jesus said that ''Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." How is this done? Repent (confess and forsake) your sins once and for all and put your trust, all of it, in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe that He died on the cross in your place, for your sins, and that He rose the third day. In other words, turn from sin and turn towards the foot of the bloodstained cross. Ask God to save you, and He will! You will know when you pass from death to life by Gods Holy Spirit testifying the good news to you. Trust the Savior and follow Him and God will manifest Himself to you! God will give you a new heart with new desires. You will keep Gods Law, not out of fear of punishment or Hell, but out of love. Love for the One who died to save you! Amen! This is what they mean when they say that love fulfills the Law!
  6. If God Is So Powerful...

how do you know if youre going to heaven or hell?
  7. Quran Question

What evidence do you have that the Quran is the Word of God?
  8. Quran Question

You're telling God the conditions on how you will believe Him. If you dont believe all that the prophets spoke...then how can you believe Jesus? The whole Old Testament speaks of Jesus. All the prophets pointed to Him. If you dont believe Gods words thru them, how can you believe Jesus? You are limiting God. You are calling Him a liar. Thru all the prophets God said that His Word will not pass away. But you dont believe Him. He sent you prophet, after prophet, after prophet. But you dont believe them. They each told you about the coming Messiah. About His mission. About His identity. But you wont believe them. how then can you believe the culmination of Gods revelation? You believe that Moses was a prophet? Why dont you believe the Torah? You believe that David was a prophet? Why dont you believe the Psalms? You believe that Isaiah was a prophet? Why dont you believe him then? All the prophets said one thing in unison. But you dont believe them. One single man said something contradictory to all the prophets, and him you believe. "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in ALL THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE SPOKEN! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?"
  9. Quran Question

    All of them. .
  10. If God Is So Powerful...

Grace. Unmerited favor. God made us for us to enjoy and worship His greatness.
  11. Law Of Prophet Moses

Jesus took the punishment of the guilty so that the guilty can be made righteous. Rapists, murderers, liars, thieves, blasphemers are all guilty. But when you put your trust in Jesus you receive a full pardon. Your sins have been dealt with. "Remember, last of all, that the Law which is so sharp and terrible to men when it only deals with them for their good, will if you and I die without being brought to Christ be much more terrible to us in eternity, when it deals with us in justice for our punishment. Then it will not be enshrined in the body of Moses, but, terrible to tell, it will be incarnate in the person of the Son of God sitting upon the throne. He will be at once the Lawgiver, the Judge, and the Savior; and you that have despised Him as the Savior will have to appear before Him as your Judge. No such judge as He, His justice will be clear and undiluted now that His mercy has been scorned. Oil is soft, but set it on fire, and see how it burns! Love is sweet, but curdle it to jealousy, and see how sour it is! If you turn the Lamb of Zion into the Lion of the tribe of Judah, beware, for He will tear you in pieces, and there shall be none to deliver. Rejected love will change its hand. The pierced hand was outstretched with invitations of mercy, but if these be rejected — O sirs, I am telling you solemn truth, and hear it, I pray you, ere I send you away — if from that hand that was pierced you will not take the perfect salvation which He is prepared to give to all who confess their guilt, you will have to receive from that selfsame hand the blows of that iron rod which shall break you in pieces as a potter's vessel. Fly now, and kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way while His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him! Amen"
  12. Quran Question

How many of the ancient manuscripts have john 14:6?
  13. Quran Question

WRONG. Who am I? Who cares what I claim? Im just a nobody. God Himself says the Scriptures are His Word. You're saying it isnt. Prove it. O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in ALL THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE SPOKEN! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? "Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit have sent Me." Isaiah 48:16 (written 700+ years before Christ)
  14. Quran Question

Some people disagree as to whether those are the most reliable. Nevertheless, the fact that a statement such as that one would be included in the Bible shows the honesty of textual criticism. The records are there. You can look at them. If you believe them when they tell you up front about something like that, why dont you believe them when they tell you that EVERYTHING ELSE, over 99% of the New Testament IS reliable? Wheres the disclaimer in Matthew, Luke, John, Romans ??? There is none!!
  15. Law Of Prophet Moses

Khamosh, you asked if God was weak in my opinion... I dont understand where you get that question from... God is perfect. He is complete within Himself. He doesnt need anything. He is eternal, all-knowing,omnipotent,omnipresent etc. With that said... Lets take a look at some of the characteristics of His perfect nature: He is holy. He is good. He is perfect. He is just. He is righteous. He is love. He is merciful. God will not compromise any of these characteristics. He doesnt negate or contradict Himself. Being that He is holy, He hates sin with a passion. Being that He is perfect, all it takes is one single sin and you are a sinner. Being that He is just, His love for justice demands that He punishes sin. Being that He is good and righteous He will do the right thing, punish sin. If God doesnt punish sin wherever it is found, He will be a corrupt Judge who doesnt care about justice. If He lets sin into His presence He compromises His holiness. The Bible says that He is a Consuming Fire. Picture a dry leaf (a sinner) in the presence of a consuming fire. Their very natures demand that the sin gets consumed instantly. How can God be loving and merciful to sinners WITHOUT compromising His holiness, justice and righteousness? He came in the flesh, in the likeness of sinful man. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us. The just for the unjust. He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the cross as was foretold in Scripture. God unleashed His wrath upon sin thus satisfying His demand for justice. This shows Gods perfect justice, righteousness, and holiness. Sin was punished to the fullest extent. Perfect justice. Sin suffered a horrible death. This also shows Gods perfect love and mercy. He chose to do this for us. He didnt have to. He didnt need to. He wanted to. Why? Because He is love. He chose to love you when He had every right to punish you. Its called 'grace.' Grace is unmerited favor. Giving someone what they dont deserve, out of love. So I guess my answer to the question of whether God is weak is: NO! He is perfect.
