  1. Professional Brothers Want Professional Wives.

:sl: / Peace to all, I cant help myself but respond when i saw this topic. My 2-cent is this: Having a mother who has equal educational background as my dad, i saw what i think could be one of the reasons why brothers of certain educational level prefer to find wives of the same level. I could be wrong as i am just what we call generalizing from a 'sample' i saw. Please excuse me if i am. My dad had always discussed things with my mum- both personal (of course) and professional stuff. And my mum was always able to give intelligent insights of the subject matter as she knows exactly what he was talking about. They enjoyed conversation together as they are of the same wave length. Like my friend use to say- both of them are of same station -fm- and not one tuning in -fm- while the other -am- . For some people, having stimulating conversations with their loved ones are important. They laugh at the same jokes, enjoyed same things and are able to entertain guests of equivalent level. So, i guess in a way, having a wife like my mum had helped my dad in his career too-directly or indirectly At the same time, there are brothers who think otherwise, of course. In the end, i believe that to each, their own taste and preferences... In the end, we all know what Prophet (peace be upon him) said about finding spouses... Hope that helps sis. :sl: Take care and salaam Sis Zabrina

  3. Looking For Qishta Recipe?

 / Peace to all, Dear Sis HugsfromKuwait :j: I love Qishta and i make the simplest one. I use raw bread, sugar, pistachio nuts, ready-made qishta and voila! A super-fast but extremely delicious desert is ready. Here is how you can do it: A 1) Use a round glass plate or similar kind. I usually use a ready to serve casserole round plate. 2) Use half loaf of white bread and tear it into several pieces. 3) And then, 'arrange' the torn pieces (into just one layer similar like the pizza thin crust)into the plate and make sure that the pieces are arranged 'tightly'. B 1) Pour sugar into clear water and boil it until sugar melted. The amount of sugar you use depends on how sweet you want your desert to be C 1) Use any nuts (my favorite is pistachio) and pounced till it become semi-powder like D 1) Have one can of ready made Qishta. Or if you need to make it your own here's how: Boil the milk slowly, then simmer for two hours over a very low heat. After the heat source is shut off, the cream is skimmed and left to chill (and mildly ferment) for several hours or days. It has a high percentage of milk fat, typically about 60%. It has thick, creamy consistence (but not entirely compact due to milk protein fibers) and rich, mildly sour taste (depending on how long it matured). Actually, some people called qishta as kaymak (but it has a slight difference). See? Thats why i prefer to buy the ready made qishta! :sl: Anyway, Pour B into A until it covers the bread sufficiently. Then, put D (qishta) and spread it (thick) on top of A (which is already soaking with B-the sugar). Then, just sprinkle C on it. Thats it! Easy right? InshaAllaah, you are going to love it. :sl: Hugs Sis Zabrina
