  1. I Pretended To Be Muslim

Write her a letter explaining everything. Ask her for her forgiveness, and ask her family as well. And most of all...keep praying to Allah, and keep in mind that Allah has control over everything, even people's hearts. I sincerely pray that you and your wife get back together. And I pray for your patience at this trying time. Although what you did was definately not good, there have been bigger tragedies that have been fixed. May Allah restore your marriage insah'Allah.

  3. Wearing A Hijab?

Salaam! I don't doubt that you have great intentions for your wife, and it's because you want her to do what's best for her you want her to wear the hijab. However, it is a very difficult struggle for women especially in western society. And she has to build up that strength. And trust me, pressuring it will not help because if she does it, she will only be doing for you and not for Allah. Instead of pressuring her, why don't you visit with friends who have wives that wear hijab? It has more of an affect than you think :D Wearing hijab comes from building up faith, so instead of concentrating on wearing hijab, maybe you could read a religious book together...like the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Or listen to lectures together, and discuss it afterwards. I NEVER thought in a million years that I would wear hijab, but when you increase in faith, you increase in strength. She knows that hijab is a part of Islam, so she doesn't need a reminder of it. She needs a supportive husband that encourages her greatly when she does something Islamic, and patient when she doesn't advance as fast as you would like. Even just telling her stuff like, "You know I'm so thankful to Allah that we're Muslims" of "I'm really happy to have a Muslim wife that tries her best" REALLY is encouraging. :D So insha'Allah I pray that Allah gives you both guidance and patience. Salaam!
  4. Islam In Germany

Salaam! I was wondering if anyone can help me locate a German Quran that I can purchase. Possibly with Arabic Quran and the German interpretation. And if you can tell me which interpreter is the most famous, recognized and easy to understand that would be great. And also if there is a commentary that would be good too. I guess I'm looking for an Abdullah Yusuf Ali-type German interpreter. If you can help out please let me know! Jazak Allah Khair :D
  5. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

The entire world it IS fake! It only seems real for a temporary amount of time, but it is not our senses that's deceiving us...we believe it's Shaytaan (satan, devil, in the Matirx, those weird lookign machines) that wants us to forget where we really came from. God tells us to not be dazzled by this world. It has allt he glitz and glamour and luxury, and guess what...all that stuff doesnt' matter when you die. It all disappears except your deeds. Everything we see touch and feel is what it is, but they will all disappear in the end. That's why we say that when you die is when you really wake up. And also don't wait until death to wake up. (i.e. Neo in Matrix saw the reality when he took the red pill and was woken up from his capsule) And like in the Matrix, even though most people are led to believe that what they see is real, there are some people who DO know the truth. ANd Neo was lead to the matrix because he was looking for it. Similarly, if you are looking for truth in this world, you will be led to it insha'Allah. But most people (like in the matirx...i forgot what that guy's character was...the one that turned on Neo) do'nt want to face the reality. ( That guy was eating steak and he's like i don't care if it's fake it tastes good etc.) They deliberately choose not to see because this world seems so much more better than what it actually is. Of course in reality, it's a bit different than the Matrix in that if you choose not to see truth, there are consequences. But Neo CHOSE the red pill instead of the blue pill...he chose to see. He could have said to the black guy (forgot his character name) you're crazy, you;re dellusional, I don't have to take any pills lol, and he would have just lived his life chosing not to know and chose to deny truth. But we're told in Islam that you accept truth no matter where it comes from. Whether it comes from a Muslim, Christian, Athiest...truth is truth isn't it? So never turn away from it. Never choose to be ignorant. So if one person chooses not to see the absolute truth, just because they don't, doesn't mean other people can't see it. So is Quran the Absolute Truth...without a doubt in my mind...YES! In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Surah al Baqara (Verses 2-13) This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe. Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realise (it) not! In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not. When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know.
  6. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

I just want to remind you of the question asked which was" "As for a conlcusion to this thread, can we agree that nothing can be declared to be absolutely true in this world, inluding the Bible and the Quran?" So just because you believe that nothing can be declared to be absolutely true in this world, including the Bible and the Quran, does not mean that it is true....as you said something is not true simply because you believe in it. :D
  7. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

I don't believe you made a point or a difference with this thread. Muslims in this forum still believe Quran is the Absolute Truth sent by God, Christians int his forum still believe the Bible is the absolute truth sent by God. And you still can't figure out if God does or does not exist. It seems obvious to me that you are here for the sake of arguing and not for the sake of finding truth...so you won't.
  8. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

There's nothing complicated about this one. Just look through the bible and there's no place where Jesus claims "I am God' It's not about conflicting beliefs...it's a fact that it's not in the bible. Much like 2 +2 = 4 is a fact :D
  9. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

Just to let you know Jesus (pbuh) never claimed to be God, even in the Bible.
  10. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

How? When even Athiests say they don't have proof that God doesn't exist?
  11. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

Well this is even more proof to me when God says that a person who goes astray can never never be guided. I said before that even if a person is given 1000 signs, they still will not believe. And that was another unfortunate proof shown to me today by you. These things are "Not a proof" to you because you won't allow yourself to see them as proof. Some of the things I said wasn't even meant to be a proof but you quoted me on it and said "Not a proof" lol I'm sure you're eager to make a point, but twisting other people's words only harms you. But it doesn't affect me whether you believe or not...it only affects you in the end.
  12. The Absoluteness Of The Quran And Bible

Well first of all...I don't think Christian people are crazy as you stated. And A LOT of Christians actually do agree with Islam and they do convert. And Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, especially among women. In the Quran it tells us to not put down Christians for there are believers among them. So I just wanted to make that clear. The reason people don't believe in Islam wether Christian or Athiest or Bhuddist or whatever, is because their hearts are hardened and they are unable to see the Truth. If you are a person truly seeking the truth and believe in God, insha'Allah, God willing you will be guided. About the proof...there's thousands. And God says that some people will accept Islam with one sign, others with 100 signs, but some, even if 1000 signs are shown to them they will never accept Islam. I am not in charge of converting people. What I as a Muslim am supposed to do is to give the message, and it's up to you to accept or not. I gave you 4 proofs above, but if you want more, then I will give you more :D
  13. About Atheism..

That's what happens when you run out of patience. :D You ask the Hindus that. lol But there are 2 books that clearly states the oneness of God in the Hindu scripture. Whether the Hindus want to corrupt that...is their own doing. Well this was the grounds for your argument. So if there is no justification, then you shouldn't have brought it up :D God didn't do anything by trial and error lol. His message since beginning of human kind has been the same. And the Prophets (pbut) have been preaching basically the same thing (oneness of God). If you seek the answers on the merit of logic, I think that's a good place to start, but don't forget that you also have a heart that you can use. :D
  14. Is Bible The Word Of God

Jazak Allah Khair for the clear and detailed clarification Tranquil.
  15. Re: Was Jesus God

Who said this? I'm guessing this is Paul saying it? But my question was what did JESUS (pbuh) say? Again, what did JESUS (pbuh) say...not a Diciple named Ananias who had a vision. Who claimed this? Muslims accept Jesus (pbuh) as a Prophet and a messenger of God. And as the Messiah, Christ. What that has to do with my question asked to you I have no idea. I asked you if the MESSENGERS..i. e. Prophets sent by God BEFORE the time of Jesus (pbuh) ever claimed that this Messiah that will come is lord? THAT is my question. This passage in the OT that you quoted...who said this? Which messenger of God before Jesus (pbuh)?
