  1. My Friend Is In Iraq Fighting For The Us.

the tone of the postings on this subject are getting worse and worse... getting back to the original post.... I hope your friend returns safely, without firing a shot, and without being fired upon.... War is wrong, regardless of which side you support... Both al qaeda and the US military are killing innocent people.... as they say, One Man's Terrorist is Another Man's Freedom Fighter. That works for both sides of the equation.....
  2. Show Me Where We're 'stealing.'

Salaam/ Hello friends, a good book to do with the whole concept of stealing other countries wealth, minerals and resources is 'Confessions of an Economic Hit Man' by John Perkins . here is a brief summary of the book: In this shocking memoir, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, John Perkins tells of his own inner journey from willing servant of empire to impassioned advocate for the rights of oppressed people. Covertly recruited by the United States National Security Agency and on the payroll of an international consulting firm, he traveled the world—to Indonesia, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and other strategically important countries. His job was to implement policies that promoted the interests of the U.S. corporatocracy (a coalition of government, banks, and corporations) while professing to alleviate poverty—policies that alienated many nations and ultimately led to September 11 and growing anti-Americanism. Within a few weeks of its release , Confessions of an Economic Hit Man landed onThe New York Times Bestseller List, then 19 other bestseller lists including the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. The author has been interviewed repeatedly on national radio and television shows, including Amy Goodman's Democracy Now, CSPAN's Book TV, and PBS' Now with David Brancaccio. And now the book is being published in 9 languages around the world. According to John Perkins, "It is accomplishing an important objective in inspiring people to think and talk and to know that we can change the world." I read the book quite some time ago, and I highly recommend the book. Personally, i think this 'stealing' concept is not just a problem coming from the US. Its an international corporate problem. But speaking of america, its more open there........heck, the US Gov even steals american peoples votes, and get away with it, nevermind other nations wealth and resources...
  3. Muslim Heckler Targets John Reid Protestors have interrupted a speech by the Home Secretary to a Muslim audience in London. A heckler from a banned group was bundled from the room after shouting abuse at John Reid. 'You're An Enemy Of Islam' The Home Secretary has been barracked by a protester after urging British Muslims to help fight terrorism. John Reid was shouted down as he called on Muslim parents to look out for "tell-tale signs" of terrorists brainwashing their children. He was talking in London's East End - the focus of a number of recent investigations into alleged terrorist plots. A few minutes into his speech, a man called Abu Izzadeen stood up and berated the Home Secretary over police arresting more than "a thousand" Muslims. Mr Izzadeen said: "You (Mr Reid) are a tyrant" and "You are an enemy of Islam and Muslims". He shouted: "State terrorism by British police", before officers and stewards led him from the building. The protester, also known as Trevor Brook, is an extremist from the al Ghurabaa group, which was banned by Mr Reid under new anti-terror laws. Police have investigated Mr Izzadeen in the past after he praised the July 7 London Tube bombers. A second protester was ejected when he also interrupted the minister's speech. Mr Reid said: "There will always be people who will not be prepared to take part in a dialogue, but who will try to intimidate and shout down." Returning to his speech, he insisted terrorists were waging a "violent and indiscriminate war" and warned that communities needed to be more aware of signs of terrorist activity. you can watch it on sky news website.....its currently on the main page, and has the video.... Just thought Id share it with you.... Masalaam
