1. What sort of evidence would satisfy you? Visit any country that has Islamic values and you will see how true the statement is. Alcohol is consumed only by a very very small %age of people behind closed doors. Adultery and fornication again are done very discreetly. We do not have children born out of wedlock, whereas the west has a scary number of single mothers, some at a very small age; the parents and society accept it easily. I was reading about this 11 year old boy who made a 13 year old girl pregnant, and the girl's parents were ok with it. Cannot happen in and will be totally unacceptable among Muslims. Homosexuality is a very small %age, while the west accepts gays, and has even started accepting gay marriages. Pathetic, to say the least. Do you want me to go on?
2. May Allah Make It Easy For Us All

Walaikum Assalam! Ameen ya Rabbul Alameen. I shall pray, Insha Allah, for you. Wassalam
3. Islamic Marriage Against Civil Marriage

Assalamo Alaikum! Brother Ibrahim, the laws of countries are different. You will need to find out from a lawyer in Philippines the status of your previous marriages there. Usually, a contract of marriage should have some obligations. Non-performance of those obligations may annul the marriage. But this is something that a lawyer in Philippines can tell you. Your wife's case may be easier from an Islamic perspective as a Muslim woman cannot remain married to a non-Muslim husband. But how this will be seen in the Phillippines is a different story. The marriage in Saudi Shariah Court is also valid internationally. Hence, you are husband and wife. Wassalam
4. Dream Interpretation

Walaikum Assalam, sister! Please read the full article in (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_islam.worldofislam.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=454&Itemid=44"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_islam.worldofislam.info/index.php?o...4&Itemid=44. It explains in detail what you should do to remove the effects of sihr. Wassalam
5. Some Christian Arguments Against Islam

Assalamo Alaikum! Indeed, Torah and Injeel are Books from Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) and no Muslim can deny this fact, as it is part of the Eeman. We believe in the kutobehee (His Books). Regarding alteration, there is a clear mention in several places about the distortion the Jews and the Christians have done in His Books. But before I go into the Qur'an, pick up any two bibles and you will find differences. Why do they have different versions like the King James version, etc. We have only one Qur'an. That is the Book Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) guaranteed to safeguard till the end of this world. Let me copy/paste meanings of the translations of some ayat from the Qur'an which indicate that even before Mohammed (sallallaho alaihe wasaallam) started getting revelations, the Jews and the Christains had altered their books: 2:79 (Y. Ali) Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. 3:78 (Y. Ali) There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it! 19:37 (Y. Ali) But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day! Hope that answers your question. Wassalam
6. Muslims And Baha'ullah

Walaikum Assalam! Brother, there have been many false prophets. Some claimed prophethood while Mohammed (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) was still alive, and many have followed. Bahauddin is one of them. When Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) mentioned in the Qur'an al yaumo akmulto lukum deenokum" and Mohammed (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said words to the effect "I am leaving with you the Qur'an and my Sunnah", the need for another prophet does not arise. Now we are the daai' who have to act like prophets and spread the deen. Wassalam
7. Who Are We Allowed To Marry?

Walaikum Assalam! The meaning of the translation of the ayah relating to who you can marry is as follows: 4:23 (Y. Ali) Prohibited to you (For marriage) are:- Your mothers, daughters, sisters; father's sisters, Mother's sisters; brother's daughters, sister's daughters; foster-mothers (Who gave you suck), foster-sisters; your wives' mothers; your step-daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition if ye have not gone in;- (Those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;- The ayah addresses the men, but you can see it in reverse. Wassalam
8. Walaikum Assalam, brother! Welcome to the fold of Islam. May Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) reward you abundantly, and guide you to be a good Muslim. Ameen. No one can lower the importance of Islam. It is the Truth, and the only way to salvation. It was the deen of Adam (alaihe salam), and will be the deen of all those who are successful in this life, Insha Allah. Wassalam
9. This is a wonderful dua' I came across long time back. The person who had it framed in his office told me that he believed it was from Ali (radhi Allaho anh) Injustice is from greed, which is totally discouraged by all three religions. As regards your statement that Allah gives to people who don't practice, I disagree with it and that it is rida. The main thing is that as a Muslim, I am content with whatever Allah has given me, and thank Him for it. This life and its possessions are temporary. I crave for what I will get in the Hereafter, as that will be permanent. What Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) gives me in this world will be a test for me as I will be made to account for the means of getting it, and the way I spent it. There is an example when Mohammed (sallallaho alaihe weasallam) received dates. He distributed it amongst the sahaba (radhi Allaho anhum ajmaeen) and gave very few to Ali (radhi Allaho anh). Next day, he asked each one of them to stand on a stone in the heat, barefoot, and account for the dates they had received. Ali took no time, while the rest had to spend time out in the heat. Then he explained that this would be the case on yaum al qiyamah. Thus, what a person gets is in his/her naseeb, which Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala) gives out of His wisdom, not as a reward. Hence, it is not rida. Ignorance has nothing to do with worldly wealth. May be. But I would not like to be in their shoes on the Day of Judgment. :-) The suffering is because of absence of eeman and taqwa. Those who are in governance must remember their responsibilities to distribute as they will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment. Those who have wealth must give in charity and ensure that their family and neighbors are not hungry or in need of something. That is what Islam demands of us. But, we are content in amassing wealth and start loving it like it is going to stay with us for ever. No, I did not, and is there any need to read it? I have explained the errors in our present system above. WOuld any writer in Economist come up with something better than the dictates in the Qur'an and Sunnah? That brings us to the dua' you have reproduced. You will not achieve anything from anxiety. Pray to Allah to give all Muslims knowledge, enforce justice, and do whatever you can. You haven't reassured me with faith whatsoever. Yes, when they had eeman and taqwa, they followed the Laws of Allah. Now they don't. Let us all start by doing what we need to do ourselves. Next we try and tell others and spread the Message as far and wide as possible.
10. I bewlieve you missed the key word "misconception". The greatest crimes have been committed by people for greed, and all organised religions are against greed. Please give one major example of a crime committed in the name of religion, and I will show you where you are wrong, as no crimes have been committed in the name of religion. It is only a matter of perception.
11. Sister, Assalamo Alaikum! You have used the word 'scared' so many times, that I got concerned. Please do not be scared of anything or anyone other than Allah (subhanaho wa ta'ala). He is the one who gives strength, and He can take it away. He never allows evil to remain strong for long, as good has to be stronger. Muslims are the sufferers these days as our eeman has gone weak, and we are divided. All we need to do is to get back our eeman and become an Ummah. To hold on to the Rope, in the words of the Qur'an. The sooner we do it, the better for us and for humanity. Wassalam
12. You are the one denying facts, and insisting that I see your links and accept them. I have asked you a question about Abraham (alaihe salam). That is a not based on a worldly matter that can have a difference of opinion, but you fail to address even that. Let me clear one erroneous statement you have made. I am not anti-American, I am anti-American policies where they have two-faced discriminatory approach to countries and people. israel is a glaring example. We see a lot of support for them against what Hitler did, but, we see that there is a closed-eye to what they do to the Palestinians, and that is worse.
13. First of all let me correct a grave misconception. The God of all three religions is the same. He is the Creator of this Universe and everything in it. Yes, Abraham broke all the idols to prove that all idols are but useless. How can something created by man be idolized and expected to do anything that the real God can do. Then you speak of fundamentalism, which is a very naive perception. To do anything in this world, be it, mathematics, any science, politics, economics, etc., you have to stick to fundamentals. Any person who does not is bound to fail. Same applies to religion. Hence, anybody who does not apply to the fundamentals is bound to go astray, without any exception. He is the one who is dangerous as he has denied the fundamentals of the most important thing in life.
14. It is very easy to try and brush off things as anti-American, but the facts on the ground prove the facts. I will give you other sources too, which may seem to you as anti-American, but give bare facts. Yes, there are newspaper reports of incidents where Americans have been directly og indirectly been involved. In the report on (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetthenews(contact admin if its a beneficial link).pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=25079"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetthenews(contact admin if its a beneficial link).pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=25079 the paper is not saying it openly, but there is some ulterior motive more than the Afghan Taleban as Indians have been caught or killed in the areas where fighting is going on. The only way Indians could have come is through Afghanistan. In the report on (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetdaily.pk/%E2%80%9Cforce-fungibility%E2%80%9D-indian-troops-in-afghanistan-13478/"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetdaily.pk/%E2%80%9Cforce-fungibi...hanistan-13478/ the intentions of India, and uits Hindu rulers is given, which is being supported indirectly by the US and NATO, when they allow the Indian Consulates and troops in India, and the excursions into Pakistan, disguised as Taleban. The article on (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetsa(contact admin if its a beneficial link).au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1542&Itemid=1"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetsa(contact admin if its a beneficial link).au/index.php?option=com_...42&Itemid=1 gives some understanding of what America has done for "democracy". The husband of the former leader is well known the world over for what he is, but he is supported by the US due to his being ever-willing to do what they want done. Blackwater's presence and their agenda is disclosed in (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetdemocracynow(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2009/11/24/blackwaters_secret_war_in_pakistan_jeremy"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetdemocracynow(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2009/11/24/bla...pakistan_jeremy. Blackwater's role is not fully described in the article at (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetguardian.co.uk/world/2009/dec/11/blackwater-in-cia-pakistan-base"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetguardian.co.uk/world/2009/dec/1...a-pakistan-base. But the very fact that they are there is amply proved. ANother article in (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetthenews(contact admin if its a beneficial link).pk/editorial_detail.asp?id=175283"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetthenews(contact admin if its a beneficial link).pk/editorial_detail.asp?id=175283 is thought provoking and gives valuable information. I could go on, if you wish, but will it make any sense? We have become so addicted to and brain-washed by the media, that we refuse to see the other side of the coin. the caught red-handed in areas of security, have refused to identify themselves, and have refused to be searched.
15. Another Silly Law

It is very common for people to give their opinion, and it is not necessary that everything they say should be for the party. There are many instances where a party later clarifies that the opinion expressed was that ofd the individual and not in the capacity of the party's representative.
