  5. Your Views On The Nature Of God

The concepts of time space and everything seen and unseen are the concepts of him, exalted in might. Allah most certainly transcends every physical and metaphysical boundary. I would like to explain a bit further, but Allah is one and he creates everything, he's not bound by limits nor can any amount of knowledge convey his might. Simply, time and space are limitations. None of it would exist without thought, the thought of Allah most high. Time itself is nonexistent on a philosophical perspective unless it's observed. And who oversees all? Allah is the preserver of all things. Every aspect of life is fully dependent on that preservation.

A posteriori - deriving knowledge from experience, or reasoning from observed facts or events
  7. Random Incoherence

Ditto. The weather is getting colder here too. It's 66º F currently. This morning was teeth chattering cold. It really took some will power to get out of bed lol. The weird thing is that ever since Ramadan, the weather has been getting progressively cooler. Cool air is seeping through the nooks and crannies of my AC; my room is freezing! I'll have to remove it before my room turns into a freezer box.

I downloaded both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Ubuntu to see if I could get a preview of the OS by booting into it by burning the .iso to a CD. Heres how it went: the 64-bit edition got a Kernel error at 57% and the 32-bit edition got a Kernel error at 100%. So, to put it into perspective, it doesn't work when booting from a CD [for me at least]. For those of you who want to install Ubuntu, but don't want to partition your HD, watch this (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_reviews.cnet(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/4660-10165_7-6757316.html?tag=vid.1"]video[/url]. 15. Fasting Duration Hours

Your post got me thinking about the Quranic quote "[using large font size is not allowed]The East and the West belong only to Allah" [2:142]. I never fully understood what that meant, except for the obvious fact that we use the sun [east to west movement] to figure out the prayer times, but I think I have a more in depth understanding of it now. If you are too far north or south it's impossible to fast or even pray. During the summer months, the North Pole experiences 24hrs of daylight and during the winter months, the North Pole experiences 24hrs of darkness. I know it was unintentional, but thanks for the inspiration [using large font size is not allowed] :sl: .
  16. Random Incoherence

Random: I hopped on the scale for the heck of it, I'm now 135 [usually I'm 138-140]. If I loose 10 more pounds I'll be underweight according to my BMI. Random: My mother and I went to Manhattan today to run an errand. I have to say, Grand Central never loses it's glamor. It's always clean and crowded with a hint of coffee lingering in the air. The people of Manhattan have their own fashion; women wear some dynamic clothing. Don't worry I didn't lower my gaze, this was actually an assessment from the first glance, which I'm permitted. Casual, semi-casual, business, and of course the fashion enthusiast. It felt like I'm in Tokyo on kabuki night [sarcasm - you may want to Google that] with some of the fashion that I saw. Two people in particular stood out to me. First was this guy who was smoking in the corner of presumably, the establishment at which he worked. The other was a woman who was on her break, presumably. She left her establishment and also had a smoke. Given that smoking is a means of pleasure, I wondered how much stress exactly are they in to smoke at 10:30AM. Then again who am I to judge? It was a negligent assumption given my cerebral capacity, though it still made me wonder. Random: I hope your second day of Ramadan was a blessed one :sl:.

It's all up to you :sl: . I just felt that you may want to keep the software because of it's one-click projects [That's one thing I liked about it]. You can get a trial, but only if it's a suite. For example, Professional Edition, Home and Student Edition, or Standard Edition. Prices vary by license and the programs included. (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetmicrosoft(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/products/info/default.aspx?view=22&pcid=9d273393-92c9-4807-be9c-515a0d152415"]Click[/url] [Look under Office] I would recommend Home and Student Edition for the pure and simple fact that it's the cheapest suite. Though, you'll only get a license to use it for non commercial use. The suite comes with Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Excel. For $150. A most excellent post. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Is This For Real?!

You got spammed. Be careful who you give your email address to. Sometimes they brute force your email address if it's an easy one. A perfect example is my mother's Earthlink address; it's her name [at]earthlink(contact admin if its a beneficial link). In the email field, I saw different combinations with her name in each. For example name123; name124; name125. They're really getting innovative. Good thing I set her spam blocker to high; for every email they send they get another one from Earthlink requesting them to identify themselves. It's like they themselves are getting spammed; it serves them right.
  23. Random Incoherence

Weird, I feel the same. This is surely a blessed month. :sl: Insha'Allah you'll be back to 100% in no time.
  24. Heaven

Families in Jannah will be together. If the father did more than the son, Allah, through his infinite mercy will raise him to the ranks of his father. The slaves/servants mentioned are like brother dot stated. They were created for our enjoyment and to serve us dutifully. *If one recites Ayat al Kursi after performing Wudhoo, the 5th Imam Hadhrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) has said: Allah will give him a reward of 40 years of Ibadaat, his position will be raised in the Heavens 40 times (levels) and will marry him to 40 Horains.
  25. Random Incoherence

Last night I set my Alarm clock for 4:00AM so that I could get up and eat breakfast [break-fast, how ironic]. Everything was set, though I woke up at 4:50AM. I can't believe that I slept through my alarm! I always get up when I hear that loud annoying chime from my alarm clock! Because of this, I could only eat a small amount of breakfast. To give you a scope of how annoying my alarm clock is, lets just say I get a mild panic attack whenever I hear it. Once I heard it on TV and my heart sped up for that second. Awkwardly, I don't feel hungry; there's four more hours to rectify that.
