2. Yacub

Salaam-Alaykum Brother Yacub; Welcome to the forum. Inshallah, this forum will strengthen your iman (faith). Brother Allah is merciful; as it says in Surah 17:24" Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: if ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence)." Turn to Allah and repent and refrain from committing again those sins. Salaam.

Surah 17 22-24 (22) Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. (23) And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." (24) Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: if ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence).[using large font size is not allowed]
4. Random Incoherence

Saw an interesting documentary about Tulipomania. Tulip mania or tulipomania was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for bulbs of the recently introduced tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed.[2] At the peak of tulip mania, in February 1637, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman. It is generally considered the first recorded speculative bubble (or economic bubble). more on this subject at (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetbusinessweek(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2000/00_17/b3678084.htm"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetbusinessweek(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2000/00_17/b3678084.htm and (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_en.wikipedia(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/wiki/Tulipmania"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_en.wikipedia(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/wiki/Tulipmania
5. In Islam doing good deeds is also part of submission.
6. Discovery Of New Planets

I do not think there's a hadith which clarifies that. I'll look for it and if I find it, I will share it with you.
7. Discovery Of New Planets

I know because I use the interpretation the scholars have given. And they get their interpretation through the tafsirs and the hadiths.
8. Discovery Of New Planets

I looked to the commentary. There's no indication in the passage. Regarding the number 7; the commentary said "In Arabic literary style, seven (sab‘a) often denotes ‘several’ or ‘many’ (Tāj al ‘Arus; Lisān al-‘Arab), just as seventy or seven hundred often means many more or countless "
9. Discovery Of New Planets

I believe these verses can also be used to support that their is life outside earth. 42:29 And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills. 65:12 Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge. Seven not only means 7 earths, but it is also used as a slang for many. Salaam.
10. Arabic Baby Name - Zafira

Congratulations! to both of you :sl: Brother Yasnov; I believe it spelled Hana or Hanaa and pronounced Hana-h. It's a nice name
11. Your Favorite Verses from the Quran

Why is it interesting that it came from a Penticostal website? are they anti-trinitarian? I used that website along with others, but I found this one to have many quotes on this issue and so I used. Thank you for checking it and bringing it to my attention. I will have to be careful in the future. I had put up the source for this exact reason; so that it wont seem I am trying to hide anything. :sl: It is sad that the site would misrepresent. I have googled more and found that they misrepresented Ratzingers quote as well. The site claimed Ratzinger said "The basic form of our (Matthew 28:19 Trinitarian) profession of faith took shape during the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text (Matthew 28:19) came from the city of Rome" But what Cardinal had actually said in his book was "It may be useful to preface the discussion with a few facts about the origin and structure of the Creed; these will at the same time throw some light on the legitimacy of the procedure. The basic form of our profession of faith took shape during the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text comes from the city of Rome; but its internal origin lies in worship; more precisely, in the conferring of baptism. This again was fundamentally based on the words of the risen Christ recorded in Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 13. Salaam; I would start with Surah Fatiha, which is ch-1 and is required for the prayer; then move on to the smaller surahs 108-114 at the very end. Having videos(youtube) or mp3's of the surah playing while you read it or playing in your commute, helps out a lot. I hope Allah swt makes it easier for you. Ameen. Salaam.
14. The Divinity Of Yeshua

You have good points SC. I gave the reasons to why I thought it was added. I thought; the verses in Acts that show the apostles baptizing only in the name of Jesus would have been enough evidence that the verse was expanded /changed. And from the article I read about it. Here's the source of the article, if you would like to have a look at it.
