2. Yacub

Salaam-Alaykum Brother Yacub; Welcome to the forum. Inshallah, this forum will strengthen your iman (faith). Brother Allah is merciful; as it says in Surah 17:24" Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: if ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence)." Turn to Allah and repent and refrain from committing again those sins. Salaam.

Surah 17 22-24 (22) Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. (23) And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." (24) Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: if ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence).[using large font size is not allowed]

Saw an interesting documentary about Tulipomania. Tulip mania or tulipomania was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for bulbs of the recently introduced tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed.[2] At the peak of tulip mania, in February 1637, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman. It is generally considered the first recorded speculative bubble (or economic bubble). more on this subject at (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetbusinessweek(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2000/00_17/b3678084.htm"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetbusinessweek(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/2000/00_17/b3678084.htm and (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_en.wikipedia(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/wiki/Tulipmania"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_en.wikipedia(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/wiki/Tulipmania
5. In Islam doing good deeds is also part of submission.
6. Discovery Of New Planets

I do not think there's a hadith which clarifies that. I'll look for it and if I find it, I will share it with you.
7. Discovery Of New Planets

I know because I use the interpretation the scholars have given. And they get their interpretation through the tafsirs and the hadiths.
8. Discovery Of New Planets

I looked to the commentary. There's no indication in the passage. Regarding the number 7; the commentary said "In Arabic literary style, seven (sab‘a) often denotes ‘several’ or ‘many’ (Tāj al ‘Arus; Lisān al-‘Arab), just as seventy or seven hundred often means many more or countless "
9. Discovery Of New Planets

I believe these verses can also be used to support that their is life outside earth. 42:29 And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills. 65:12 Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge. Seven not only means 7 earths, but it is also used as a slang for many. Salaam.
10. Arabic Baby Name - Zafira

Congratulations! to both of you :sl: Brother Yasnov; I believe it spelled Hana or Hanaa and pronounced Hana-h. It's a nice name

Why is it interesting that it came from a Penticostal website? are they anti-trinitarian? I used that website along with others, but I found this one to have many quotes on this issue and so I used. Thank you for checking it and bringing it to my attention. I will have to be careful in the future. I had put up the source for this exact reason; so that it wont seem I am trying to hide anything. :sl: It is sad that the site would misrepresent. I have googled more and found that they misrepresented Ratzingers quote as well. The site claimed Ratzinger said "The basic form of our (Matthew 28:19 Trinitarian) profession of faith took shape during the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text (Matthew 28:19) came from the city of Rome" But what Cardinal had actually said in his book was "It may be useful to preface the discussion with a few facts about the origin and structure of the Creed; these will at the same time throw some light on the legitimacy of the procedure. The basic form of our profession of faith took shape during the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text comes from the city of Rome; but its internal origin lies in worship; more precisely, in the conferring of baptism. This again was fundamentally based on the words of the risen Christ recorded in Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 13. Salaam; I would start with Surah Fatiha, which is ch-1 and is required for the prayer; then move on to the smaller surahs 108-114 at the very end. Having videos(youtube) or mp3's of the surah playing while you read it or playing in your commute, helps out a lot. I hope Allah swt makes it easier for you. Ameen. Salaam.
14. The Divinity Of Yeshua

You have good points SC. I gave the reasons to why I thought it was added. I thought; the verses in Acts that show the apostles baptizing only in the name of Jesus would have been enough evidence that the verse was expanded /changed. And from the article I read about it. Here's the source of the article, if you would like to have a look at it. 15. The Divinity Of Yeshua

I would expect the word of God to tell me directly as he did in the Jewish shema or as in the Quran; a complete explanation in 1 verse. It is possible that Eusebius had his own agenda. Besides that, are there any other reasons to not dismiss it? Besides not being in the originals, they say it was added due to the fact that the bible shows the apostles baptized in the name of Jesus only, which follows what Eusebius read at the council of Nicaea. I have found the following passage regarding the verse. The Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C. 1923, New Testament Studies Number 5: The Lord's Command To Baptize An Historical Critical Investigation. By Bernard Henry Cuneo page 27. "The passages in Acts and the Letters of St. Paul. These passages seem to point to the earliest form as baptism in the name of the Lord." Also we find. "Is it possible to reconcile these facts with the belief that Christ commanded his disciples to baptize in the trine form? Had Christ given such a command, it is urged, the Apostolic Church would have followed him, and we should have some trace of this obedience in the New Testament. No such trace can be found. The only explanation of this silence, according to the anti-traditional view, is this the short christological (Jesus Name) formula was (the) original, and the longer trine formula was a later development." Catholic Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger: He makes this confession as to the origin of the chief Trinity text of Matthew 28:19. "The basic form of our (Matthew 28:19 Trinitarian) profession of faith took shape during the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text (Matthew 28:19) came from the city of Rome." The Trinity baptism and text of Matthew 28:19 therefore did not originate from the original Church that started in Jerusalem around AD 33. It was rather as the evidence proves a later invention of Roman Catholicism completely fabricated. Very few know about these historical facts.
16. Observers To Enter Syria

I was thinking about the plight of the people of Syria. If adapting the tactic used in Libya, would help them get rid of the dictator then why not. The people have tried peacefully; but Asads forces are killing them. Why do you say that Russia and china would be cautious; why should they be cautious of such an action?
17. The Divinity Of Yeshua

I think having all three in the same sentence would make a stronger case. Even if the verse was true, it still couldn't be used to prove trinity; because it refers to three, but never says they are one. I know there are other verses that can be used for trinity and you have listed some. My point was; we know mt28:19 was added; so it should be removed. Otherwise people will keep preaching or regarding it as a word of God. Peace
18. Observers To Enter Syria

I hope it helps for the sake of the Syrian people. This may give them more exposure. We cannot trust the government reports. Hopefully it will prompt more pressure from western, European & middle eastern countries on Assad to step down. I wonder if the people will be supported with arms like the Libyans were against Qaddafi.
19. The Divinity Of Yeshua

That is true, it is the only verse that it puts all three in the same sentence. i hope the churches are aggressively trying to inform the folks about this; it's not good that many still believe that it is the word of God.
20. The Divinity Of Yeshua

If he knew then why did he say; God, why have you forsaken me? If God, consists of the Son; how much percentage of God is the human son, is it 100% human or 33.33333% human. Do Christians believe God is part human?
21. The Divinity Of Yeshua

How can this verse be used; when the biblical commentaries say that was a later addition?
22. Please Help If You Can... I Am A Re-vert...

Salaam Alaykum Sister; The Shahada is only taken once with full knowledge of what you are saying and the responsibilities that come with it. With that said, we all mistakes and we can repent and not go back to repeating those mistakes. Try your best to make the prayers and stay close to the path sister. Allah swt is Most Merciful "Surely Allah loves those who turn unto him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves." (2:222) "Say: O my slaves who have transgressed against themselves! Despair not for the mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. truly he is oft forgiving, most merciful." Az-Zumar (39:53) As it says in hadeeth, Allah swt says “O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me, and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.†May Allah give you the strength Ameen! Salaam
