  1. Question For Muslims

I urge you not to study the Quran in anti-Islamic websites. Their allegations have been answered so many times. If you really want to understand what Muslims believe and what Islam says, read the Quran and its explanation by an Islamic scholar. That will clear up all you doubts. Even the questions you had right now, had you read them with the explanation of a muslim scholar instead of the explanation of a critic, you would not have needed to ask them Peace
  2. Question For Muslims

Forcing means that making people do what they don't want to do. It's not like prophet Muhammad didn't want to recite Quran. When the angel said "Recite!", the prophet said "I cannot recite." He didn't say "I don't want to recite". So saying that prophet Muhammad was forced is ridiculous. First off, you have to give us a reference. Now how can I refute by not knowing the reference of what you are telling us? But anyway, how do you know what a revelation of God feels like :sl:? I don't think you got a revelation of God and the accounts of revelations of God you have in the Bible are unauthentic. And imagine that you are in a cave and an angel comes telling you about God. Won't that make you fearful. Due to the fear, the prophet may have said later on that he had a tendency to be suicidal. Again I cannot refute properly if you don't give me the reference. Soul and spirit are the same thing. So man has 2 fold nature. But anyway, the funny thing is, even the word trinity which is the fundamental of Christian faith, is not found in the Bible. But it is there in the Quran 005.073 áóÞóÃú ßóÃóÑó ÇáóøÃöíäó ÞóÇáõæÇ Åöäóø Çááóøåó ËóÇáöËõ ËóáÇËóÉò æóãóÇ ãöäú Åöáóåò ÅöáÇ Åöáóåñ æóÇÃöÃñ æóÅöäú áóãú íóäúÊóåõæÇ ÚóãóøÇ íóÞõæáõæäó áóíóãóÓóøäóø ÇáóøÃöíäó ßóÃóÑõæÇ ãöäúåõãú ÚóÃóÇÈñ Ãóáöíãñ 005.073 They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them. Al-Qur'an, 005.073 (Al-Maeda [The Table, The Table Spread]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 Most of your questions have been asked and answered again and again. Which is why I suppose no one has replied. But anyway, there is something called the royal plural. It is found in many language, including English and arabic. Great kings refer to themselves as "we", not I. God is using a royal plural here. Regarding the oneness of God, it has been clearly said in the Quran that God is one. 112.001 Þõáú åõæó Çááóøåõ ÃóÃóÃñ 112.001 Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; 112.002 Çááóøåõ ÇáÕóøãóÃõ 112.002 Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; 112.003 áóãú íóáöÃú æóáóãú íõæáóÃú 112.003 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; 112.004 æóáóãú íóßõäú áóåõ ßõÃõæðÇ ÃóÃóÃñ 112.004 And there is none like unto Him. Al-Qur'an, 112.001-004 (Al-Ikhlas [sincerity]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 Again, royal plural. As the Quran says itself (I quoted it above), trinity does not exist. And even according to the Bible, trinity does not exist. The word cannot be found in the Bible. In fact, you talked about the three fold image of God and man. Suppose if my soul knows a secret, my body will know it too. Then why does Jesus say Mathew 24:36 36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father The son does not know the day of Judgement and the father knows. So how can they be one? And the Bible also says Acts 2:22 Ye men of israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Now are you telling me that we were all the candidates of God's son and Jesus was chosen amongst us?
  3. Question For Muslims

Salam Superpanda A common missionary question. If you bring us the Torah and the Gospel, we would love to read it. But you don't have Torah and the Gospel. You have the Old testament and the New testament which are completely different. It seems that you haven't come across these verses by reading the Quran directly. Instead you took them from anti-Islamic websites. Because had you read the Quran, you would have been aware of the context. Regarding the corruption of previous scriptures, Quran clearly says 002.079 Ãóæóíúáñ áöáóøÃöíäó íóßúÊõÈõæäó ÇáúßöÊóÇÈó ÈöÃóíúÃöíåöãú Ëõãóø íóÞõæáõæäó åóÃóÇ ãöäú ÚöäúÃö Çááóøåö áöíóÔúÊóÑõæÇ Èöåö ËóãóäðÇ ÞóáöíáÇ Ãóæóíúáñ áóåõãú ãöãóøÇ ßóÊóÈóÊú ÃóíúÃöíåöãú æóæóíúáñ áóåõãú ãöãóøÇ íóßúÓöÈõæäó 002.079 Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. Al-Qur'an, 002.079 (Al-Baqara [The Cow]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 Now let's read the complete verse (you only quoted a part of the verse) 018.027 æóÇÊúáõ ãóÇ ÃõæÃöíó Åöáóíúßó ãöäú ßöÊóÇÈö ÑóÈöøßó áÇ ãõÈóÃöøáó áößóáöãóÇÊöåö æóáóäú ÊóÌöÃó ãöäú Ãõæäöåö ãõáúÊóÃóÃðÇ 018.027 And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him. Al-Qur'an, 018.027 (Al-Kahf [The Cave]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 It is clear according to the context that God is talking about the book "which has been revealed to thee" i.e Quran. None can change the declarations of Quran. Also, "none can change His words" can also mean here that no one can change the fundamentals of Islam, something the pagans at that time wanted to do. Very simple answer. Those disciples are no longer alive. All we have is the Bible which is an unauthentic document according to many Christian historians and Muslims. So that's why we don't pay attention to it. But prophet Muhammad was given a revelation directly from God. And God was there 600 years ago. So that's why we believe the account of Quran and prophet Muhammad. If Jews=Children of Abraham then I have no problem in saying that all of them were Jews. But Muslim doesn't mean children of Arabs. Muslim is a person who submits his will to God. According to that definition, since all prophets submitted their will to God (According to the Quran) all are Muslims. Quran is not a book of history which narrates events from the creation till the time of Jesus, unlike the Bible. It is instead a book of guidance. The specific order of the Quran is for the sake of guidance, not to conform with chronology. It's order of reading, order of revelation and order of chronology is different.
  4. Quick Question.

Salam ahmedniijab83 Either you are here to offend Muslims or you genuinely don't know about Islam. Well assuming the latter, the idea is sick, disgusting and ridiculous.
  5. What Did The Bilble Really Say ?

Salam Wanderer Blind faith cannot be the sole judge of which book is from God. If that was true then there is no method to check which book is from God. And all of them cannot be considered God's word since they contradict each other. On the contrary, the ultimate answer of that question does not rely on faith alone. Science and common sense, which are impartial to blind faith, can also help us determining which book is the word of God. Now this is something I don't get. How can God's word be wrong? How can God be wrong even to some degree. If a book claiming to be God's word tells us a fact which is absolutely incorrect then instead of blindly believing in it we should reject it to be God's word Peace
  6. What Did The Bilble Really Say ?

Salam Wanderer I completely agree with the first part that a holy book necessarily does not have all the information about God since the purpose of a holy book is to give guidance, not just characteristics of God. However, incomplete information is absolutely different from wrong information. If I say that the Earth revolves around the sun, I might be giving incomplete information regarding the exact orbit of the Earth, however, if I say that sun revolves around the Earth, this information is wrong. Hence in essence, God's word cannot be wrong, but it can be incomplete when it comes to subjects other than guidance of mankind. A small disagreement here too. While there is a link of faith between an individual and God, we should not ignore the link of faith between nations and God. According to Quran and the Bible, God has punished nations because of their faithlessness. Nations, like the children of israel, were chosen by God to act according to laws of faith. Peace
  7. "pairs" Being Mentioned In The Qur'an

Salam Even in Chemistry, there is a negative charge and a positive charge. Everything is made from those charges.
  8. How Will I Tell My Wife I Want To Convert?

Salam joel I'm really glad that you are considering converting to Islam. May Allah guide us all to the right path. Basic change you will have in your routine will probably be praying 5 times a day. So you will probably need to explain that. Also, she might be somewhat influenced by the basic perception spread amongst non-Muslims that Muslims oppress their wives. You might have to clear that misconception by quoting this saying of the holy prophet “The best of you are those who are best to their wives.†(Tirmidhi, Sahih)
  9. Salam superpanda I have never met a Muslim who says that there will be no resurrection of the dead. Quran clearly says 002.028 ßóíúÃó ÊóßúÃõÑõæäó ÈöÇááóøåö æóßõäúÊõãú ÃóãúæóÇÊðÇ ÃóÃóÃúíóÇßõãú Ëõãóø íõãöíÊõßõãú Ëõãóø íõÃúíöíßõãú Ëõãóø Åöáóíúåö ÊõÑúÌóÚõæäó 002.028 How can ye reject the faith in Allah?- seeing that ye were without life, and He gave you life; then will He cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to Him will ye return. Al-Qur'an, 002.028 (Al-Baqara [The Cow]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 I completely agree with you that there will be resurrection of the dead. Either your Muslim friend has a very fundamental misconception about Islam which is not shared by 99% of Muslims or you misunderstood him. Peace
  10. Hijab & Woman's Freedom

Salam wattle Studies also show that countries like Saudi Arabia which have Hijab culture has almost negligible instances of rape as compared to the American society, where a number of women are raped every day. I completely agree that it would be unfair not to try to change behavior of criminals. Which is why Islam has issued a capital punishment for a person who commits such a crime. But at the same time, you cannot deny that a society e.g Saudi Arabia where hijab is very common, rape is VERY low and at the same time, women are not judged on their looks and they are not treated as objects. Same cannot be said about America, which follows the rules you gave in your post (about placing few restrictions on dress code) Peace
  11. Who Do You Want To Judge You

Salam FutureAndAHope First of all, prophet Muhammad won't judge us on the day of judgement. Christians have a misconception that we revere prophet Muhammad just like Christians revere Jesus. Second, you have not given the reference of the hadith you quoted. Which book is it from? But anyway, let's look at prophet Muhammad's judgement. In Islam, the punishment of adultery is death, similar to that of the Bible. Leviticus 20:10 " 'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death" Jesus always supported the Old Testament Laws. Jesus says Mathew 5:17-19 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Which commandments is Jesus talking about? Those mentioned in OT like the one I quoted above regarding adultery. But what about the verses you quoted. If you read the context and keep the situation in mind, Jesus was not the king of Jews at that time. It wasn't as if the Jews were an innocent bunch who just wanted a ruling from Jesus and they would immediately do whatever Jesus would do. Read the verses you quoted "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. " Now how was it a trap? If Jesus said: Don't stone her, they will say that Jesus is going against the law of OT. But If Jesus said:Stone her, they will say that Jesus is going against the norms and rules set by Roman rulers, hence they will have something against him which they can present to their Roman masters. It was a pretty good trap. But Jesus smartly dodged the trap by saying that let he who is without sin cast he first stone. This does not mean that Old testament and all its punishments are obsolete since Jesus himself said that he has not come to destroy but to fulfill. Your post also implies that it is better to be judged by Christian laws than by Islamic laws. Well, according to those Christian laws, I can do any sin and I'll be forgiven right? So I can commit adultery, kill, steal and I won't be accountable for my sins? According to Christian laws, Hitler will go to heaven because his sins are forgiven right? But according to Islamic laws, a person must be held accountable for his or her crimes. So which set of laws is better, Christian or Islamic? I know which set of laws I would like to be judged by. Peace
  12. Salam oRoRo There are many reasons why Muslims believe that Quran is the word of God. 1) It may be due to the prescientific knowledge given in the Quran. ######quranm iracles. com (remove the space) 2) It may be because of historical miracles of the Quran you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_miraclesofthequran . com /historical_index.html (remove the space) 3) It may be due to the mathematical miracles http:// miraclesofthequran . com/ mathematical_index.html (remove the space) 4) It may be because it was predicted by many religious scriptures. http:// you are not allowed to post links yet youtube(contact admin if its a beneficial link) /watch?v= UAJ-mJWh68Y&feature=related (remove the space) 5) It may be because it gives us a perfect way of life at an individual and helps us to attain inner peace. 13. Contradicting Bible Verse

Salam CarlosTheJackal Muslims don't believe that Bible has been corrupted because of historical evidence. They believe Bible to be unauthentic because the Quran says so and because it contradicts Quran in many levels. But that does not mean that historical evidence regarding the corruption of the Bible is absent. Check out this link muslim tents(contact admin if its a beneficial link) / gloriousislam / is_the_bible_corrupted . h tm And the internal contradictions as given by Wise Words prove that it is not authentic. 14. Qu'ran And Other Important Readings

Salam Iqqy27 Definitely not. Buy an arabic copy of Quran from Sudan and get another from Malaysia and they will be identical. Many scholars have translated Quran in English. Their translations don't contradict each other, but defer in a few minor aspects. For example, the 2nd verse of 2nd chapter says that Quran has not doubt and it is a guidance for Mutaqun. The term Muttaqun has many meanings. It basically means pious, God-fearing, avoiding evil etc. Following are the translations of the verse 002.002 Ãóáößó ÇáúßöÊóÇÈõ áÇ ÑóíúÈó Ãöíåö åõÃðì áöáúãõÊóøÞöíäó Muhsin Khan: This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. Sahih International: This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Pickthall: This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). Yusuf Ali: This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; Shakir: This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). Dr. Ghali: That is the Book, there is no suspicion about it, a guidance to the pious All these translations are correct. 15. Jesus On The Cross

Salam wayseer Muslims believe that Quran is a book from God for various reasons. Some of them are on the link below. islamreligion . c o m /category /33 / quranmiracles . c o m (remove the spaces) Now if God says in the Quran 004.157 æóÞóæúáöåöãú ÅöäóøÇ ÞóÊóáúäóÇ ÇáúãóÓöíÃó ÚöíÓóì ÇÈúäó ãóÑúíóãó ÑóÓõæáó Çááóøåö æóãóÇ ÞóÊóáõæåõ æóãóÇ ÕóáóÈõæåõ æóáóßöäú ÔõÈöøåó áóåõãú æóÅöäóø ÇáóøÃöíäó ÇÎúÊóáóÃõæÇ Ãöíåö áóÃöí Ôóßòø ãöäúåõ ãóÇ áóåõãú Èöåö ãöäú Úöáúãò ÅöáÇ ÇÊöøÈóÇÚó ÇáÙóøäöø æóãóÇ ÞóÊóáõæåõ íóÞöíäðÇ 004.157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Al-Qur'an, 004.157 (An-Nisa [Women]) Text Copied from DivineIslam's Qur'an Viewer software v2.910 we believe it. It is not a blind belief since we recognize the book to be proven from God. Hence the evidence that Jesus was crucified, depending on the evidence of Quran being God's word, is pretty solid. And as for the Bible, Muslims don't believe it to be the word of God. However, it can even be proved that Christ was not crucified according to the Bible. Check out this debate between Pastor Henry Pio and Dr. Zakir Naik youtube . c om / watch?v=sPzZRn0lHXc&feature=related A similar article by the name of crucifixion or crucifiction, in which crucifixion is disproved from the BIble jamaat . n et /crux /crucifixion . ht ml I just gave the evidence. Furthermore, the gospels are not authentic records so if they say that Jesus died on the cross, that does not make it true. But even if you believe in the gospels, it can even be proved from them that Jesus was not crucified. Word of advice wayseer, if you are looking for Muslims converting to Christianity, it is not a good idea to say:muslims are so gullible. Peace
