  1. Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu I assume that you know what I mean with Sahaba and Tabi'ee and Tabi'tabi'ee. Quiz Question: Who is the Tabi'ee who gave Dawah to a mushrik who eventually embraced Islam and then became a Sahaba of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wassallam. Questions: 1. Who was this Tabi'ee? 2. Who was the kafir who became a Sahabi of the Prophet?
  2. Challenging Quiz About A Great Tabi'ee

    Uthmaan ibn Talha
  3. Salaams

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu There is a difference between well-educated Muslims and Street Arabs. Anyone who does not responds to your salams don't just deprive themselves from doing a good deed, but they are actually committing a sin. It is recommended to start the salams, but it is an obligation to return the salams. Do your part.
  4. Hadeeth

The narrations were delivered from different Sahaba. The scholars of Hadeeth have already dealt with that matter long time ago and they already have solved the matter. There are different opinions among scholars in certain matters, but the laymen should not give opinions, because they are not scholars. The most important book is Sahih Bukhari, then Sahih Muslim. These contain only authentic ahadith.
  5. Challenging Quiz About A Great Tabi'ee

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu Here are the answers to this quiz. 1. The tabi'ee who gave da'wah to a Mushrik who later became a great Sahaba was Nijashi/The Negus who was the King of Abyssinia. He fulfills the characteristics of a tabi'ee because he never personally met with Rasulullah, but he met with his companions who gave him Da'wah. 2. The great Sahaba was Amr Al Aas the father of Abdullah ibn Amr al Aas. He embraced Islam together with Khalid bin Waleed and Talha.
  6. Quiz About An Enemy Of Islam

  7. Assalamu'alaykum It is important to know when the verse was revealed and who is meant. You should read or listen to the story of Salman al Farisi. One of these verses are responses to questions that Salman asked the Messenger of Allah. He asked the prophet about the fate of the Christians he met during his search for the truth. This verse is a response to that question. The verse is talking about Christians and Jews who never get a chance to receive the message. Allah makes a difference between who have access to the truth and who don't have access. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Aryanism was the most widespread form of Christianity, but since the Council of Nicea this Arianism was diminishing while with the help of the Frankonians Catholicism became dominant. During the dark ages especially before the invention of printing by Gutenberg, people had not had access to books and written material. Allah knows that. They have an excuse for being ignorant. Their ignorance is an excuse for being ignorant. We don't have any excuse nowadays, because written material is available through the internet. This modern age is a blessing, but a curse for those who don't take advantage of this blessing. Allah has perfected the religion and chose for us Islam.
  8. Giving Money To Charity? Need Some Guidance

It is best to give zakah to your closest relative if they fall under the 8 categories of people who are eligible to receive zakah. In case you do not know the categories, I list them for you: 1. The poor 2. The needy 3. A debtee 4. The wayfarer 5. A distributor of zakah 6. Mujahideen 7. A non-Muslim who would enter Islam because of it. 8. A Muslim who asks
  9. 7 Lettered Word

Why is it more evil than the devil?
  10. Who Was The First Racist?

Iblees was the first racist. I don't know if there was racism among jinn already before the incident with Iblees and Adam. Among humans, the first racist was probably Fir'awn, maybe Namrud?
  11. Salah With Hurt Arm

I know brothers who prayed with only one arm. This should not be a reason not to pray. It is possible to just use your healthy arm. If you are able to do wudhu, you should to wudhu. Are you able to wash your face and your arms? I think it is possible to use just one arm. You don't need the left arm to do wudhu or to perform the salah. The only problem could be the first takbir where you have to raise your hands. Just raise your left arm as much as it is possible. I had a dislocated shoulder and was not able to move my arm beyond 90 degrees. I was able to perform wudhu with the right hand and perform prostration with the right hand only. Just put the left hand on the floor without really pressing in order to have the hand completely on the ground. During the initial takbir, I raised my right hand normally, but the left arm I raised as much as possible. If you have both arms injured then I would recommend you to use a chair. You still have to pray and perform wudhu, because water is available and you can use your right hand to pour water on you left arm. You can pour water in a jar and then pour in on your arm. Even if you need to do Tayammum, you still need to do it with the hands and you still have to wipe your face. The movement is the same. If you take a shower with the intention of wudhu or ghusl, it would count as long all the required parts are washed or wiped. I have seen brothers praying with one leg, one arm, and even without arms at all. You just need to do as much as you can. You are not forced to so something beyond your ability.
  12. Is Sin In The Koran?

Musiims don't believe in sin the way Christianiy teaches the definition of sin. In Islam, a sin is a bad action by a person, but we are not automatic in the state of sin. We can commit sin, but we are not in the state of sin. Sin is not a state, but an action. Yes, a person who commits a sin carries the burden of guilt until he or she repents, but Sin is not something that can be inherited. Every person is responsible for their own actions and now one is responsible for the actions of anyone else. There are exceptions. If I invent a evil and other people follow my evil then I am responsible for my own evil and for the evil every follower and every follower's follower commit, because of my teaching. If I oppress someone, I might carry the burden of sins of the oppressed on the day of judgement. In this life, I commit good deeds and a brother of mind only commits bad deeds. If I oppress this brother, on the day of judgement I will be forced to give him my good deeds. In many cases, I would give all of my good deeds. If I don't have enough good deeds to redeem my oppression to him, he will then load his bad deeds upon my shoulder. He will go to paradise and I would end up in hellfire. Muslims don't believe in the Original Sin doctrine of Christianity. Our stance is similar to the Pelagians. The descendants are not responsible for the sin of Adam alayhissalam. His committed his sin, but we are not punished due to this sin. Consequently, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ does not make sense, because there was no sin that he needed to lift. In Christianity, Sin is like a disease or a curse that is laid upon mankind due to the act of disobedience of Adam and Eve. However, in Islam this curse does not exist. It is true that the sin of Adam caused the following problems for mankind: 1. Adam and Eve were already in Paradise and they were already given eternal life. If they did not commit that act, they would still be in Paradise and live eternally and we the descendants would be there, but his sin cause them to be driven out of Paradise and they were forced to live on planet Earth. This is a kind of separation from God, because Adam and Eve were in direct communication with God and the angels. The life on earth became like an exile for them and us. 2. This sin also caused that human beings have to die to return to God Almighty. When we die, we return to Allah, but if we go to Paradise or Hellfire depends on our deeds and our belief. Major sins require repentance in order to avoid punishment in afterlife. Minor sins can be redeemed with good deeds.
  13. What part of the Islamic history are you interested in political history, the evolution of shariah/fiqh, the history of the science of hadeeth, or the history of rulership (Prophet, Caliphate from Abu Bakr to Mu'awiyah, rule of the Umayyad Dynasty, rules of the Abbasid Dynasty, rule of the Ottomans, rule of the Sa'ud Dynasty)? If you want to study specific people start with Umar ibn Abdulaziz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmZOcrRyZnc The History of Muslim Spain
  14. Man-made Sharia has turned UK into a mess. Only a God made Sharia can help UK to remove this mess. I see lots of chaos in UK. Sharia is a blessing, not a curse. Sharia does not bring war, but peace and justice. Sharia is a nomocracy, not a democracy. In a democracy, a human being or the people rule the country and they legislate laws. However, in a nomocracy a fixed unchangeable, irrevocable law governs the country. This law is above the humans that rule the country. The rulers of the country are just executive, not legislative. The difference between Shariah and the western form of democracy is that in the western democracy (laisses-faire) there is a legislative power who can legislate new laws, but in a nomocracy/Sharia the law is already fixed. There is not legislative power except God Almighty. In the Islamic Nomocracy only two Powers exist: Judiciary Power and Executive Power. The jurists represent the judiciary power. They interpret the Shariah throught the sources of Shariah which are Qur'an, Sunnah, Unanimous Agreement of the companions of the prophet (Ijmaa'), and Qiyaas (Legal Opinion of Scholars). The jurists interpret and deduct the understanding of the Shari' rule. This is Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh). The rulers enforce the Sharia according to the fiqh rulings. They are executive. They don't invent new laws. God Almighty told us that He perfected the religion of Islam during Muhammad's lifetime. This means that we can't add nor substract anything from the law. If Muslims choose not to eat pork, how does this harm the society. No one forced the vegetarians to eat meat, because they have the right to choose. Why shouldn't the Muslims not be able to choose. There is not man-made sharia in UK that forces their citizens to eat pork. Therefore, there is no conflict between the man-made sharia nor the Divine Sharia. It is between the Muslims and Allah. If Muslims choose do refuse to deal with interest, they don't violate any UK sharia. There is no conflict. Muslims are however not allowed to prefer laws that comes from parliament over the Divine Sharia. This is idol worship. If you worship God Almighty then you sign a contract that you abide by his laws. If there is a law that is contradictory to Divine Shariah, then Muslims can't follow it, but in most cases it is a free choice. The UK does not force the Muslims to go against Shariah. There are some cases where local customs must be respected if there is not violation against Divine Shariah. Polygyny is unlawful in UK by man-made UK sharia, but Divine Shariah does not make polygyny obligatory either. It is just permissable for Muslims to practice polygyny. By not following the Divine Shariah rule they don't violate against an obligation. In Shariah there is Obligatory, Recommended, Permissable/Neutral, Disliked, and Forbidden. Polygyny is permissible. It is neither mandatory nor recommended to practice polygyny. It is just neutral/permissable. However, if the Muslims are not allowed to practice obligatory worship and worldly aspects of shariah in UK or any other country, then these Muslims are obliged to perform Hijrah which is migration. They need to move to a place where they can practice the obligatory parts of Islam openly.
  15. Dogs are Muslims as all creation is considered Muslim with the exception of the disbelieving Jinn and Humans. These are the only disbelievers in the universe and among all creation and creatures. Mountains, stars, comets, quasars, bacteria etc are all Muslim. The only creation that are able to become disbelievers are those whom Allah granted Free Will, the freedom to choose. Humans and jinns are the only creation in the universe to have this gift which is actually given as a trust. Your dogs will die as Muslims and I hope you will, too.
  16. Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu Case: Let's imagine that there is a husband who is currently unemployed and his wife is already getting impatient. 1. If the husband finds an open position, but this employment contains haram things such as dealing with riba or selling intoxicants, would it be better for the husband to remain Unemployed although he lives from his wives income or would it be better to take the haram employment? Let us assume that there is no halal job available at the moment. What is the greater evil: Remaining Unemployed/not providing for the wife or taking the Haram job? 2. Isn't it true that neglecting an obligation/rights of others (providing family) is worse than doing something forbidden? 3. We all know that the husband must provide and spend on the family. Is there a limit for the wife to demand or does the husband have to give the money to her whenever she asks for it? When did the husband fulfill his obligation? 4. What is the husband required to provide and what is not required?
  17. How We Should React To Websites That Vilify Islam

Assalamu alaykum We can read them in order to learn about their allegations and to study their allegations in order to gain the knowledge to refute them and how to refute them. If we don't know their allegations we don't know what to refute against. It is important to know the stance of the opponent in order to learn how to give answers. However, most of the time ignoring is the best choice.
  18. Messianic Scripture

The text that you posted do not talk about Messiah. John the Baptist is not a Messiah. Jesus Son of Mary was not the Messiah, but was sent to the children of israel as a prophet and messenger. Jesus will be the True Messiah at his second coming when he will kill the False Messiah, fight Gog and Magog, and destroy all religions accept Islam. Requirement for Messiahship is not death nor atonement, but being alive and not being killed. Jesus was taken with body and soul without a single injury to heaven. Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassallam met Jesus in the Second Heaven during his Ascension. Jesus ascended to the heavens as a living person and he remains there until the appointment. When the time comes, he will be sent back to earth as the True Messiah in order to die his natural death and to be buried on earth like all human beings. He will break the cross, kill the pig, abandon jizya. He will kill the False Messiah by his breath and vision, and to show the Muslims and Jews that the False Messiah is killed he will stab him with a speer so that people can see the blood. The Messiah will come as a sword of Allah who will put enemies of Allah/Islam to justice. When Jesus descends the Imam Mahdi will be the one who will recognize him first.
  19. The night it self is not considered Bid'ah, but during this day/night people do acts of worship that are bid'ah. We should stick to the worship that is according to the Sunnah. Some people turn this day into an eid and they celebrate it like an eid. This is what is called bid'ah. Fasting and qiyamu-layl should be fine. The 15th of Sha'ban is significant, because the Deeds of the Year will be taken to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala by the angels as the Deeds of the Weeks are presented to Allah by the angels on Mondays and Thursdays. The Deeds of the Months are presented to Allah during the White Fasting Days. That is why it is good to be in the state of worship when the deeds are taken by the angels up to Allah in a manner that only Allah knows.
  20. If terrorism were the teaching of Islam, you would not be alive today.
  21. Muslims are like a wounded bear in the forest or a hungry wolf in the polar region. Those who wounded them are the Europeans by colonializing their countries causing depredation, misery, and poverty. Then they left those countries in desolate state. The damage that they caused cannot be repaid. Of course, Muslims feel helpless and ready to fight oppression against those who oppress them. The evil leaders are the result of the colonialization.

  23. By the way, there were dogs in the streets of madeenah during the times of the Sahaba. They were just not used as pet. The Sharee'ah is basically for Muslims not non-Muslims. Some points of Sharee'ah also apply to humanity at large, but not all the rules. If you become a Muslim, you have to follow a specific set of rules that you don't have to follow if you are a non-Muslim. These rules are not difficult to abide by, but they are for a test. There is a general rule: If Allah/God Almighty loves you, he will test you in order to raise your status. Allah says in Qur'an in the Surah Ankabut that whenever you reach a higher level, you need to expect that a test will arrive. If you are a non-Muslim and become a New Muslim, you have to follow certain rules as a test. Because you reach a higher status, you will be tested to test your truthfulness and sincerity. By passing the test, you will be established in that higher level or even reach an even higher level/status. The more Allah loves his Abd the great the test will be. To give up something we love is a great test and one of the greatest tests. If we pass it, we reach a very high level in this life and in the afterlife as well. You don't have to be worried about having a dog, but if a Muslim visits you, be informed and respectful to the Muslim guests. For example, give them a plate that hasn't been licked by a dog. Muslims will try to escape the nose for the dog from touching their garment, because the saliva is considered major impurity and depending on the school of thought they follow, they have to wash their garment in a certain manner. According to some schools of thought, it is just enough to wipe with water over the area touch by the dogs nose, but other require it to be washes with sand and water. Altogether, seven times. That means: "Protect your Muslim friends from their nose, hahaha." I think you and your doggy should not fear Muslims. I think that dog eating Koreans are more dangerous.
  24. In Islam, drinking alcohol is forbidden, but if there is a necessity then it becomes permissable. The same goes with eating pork. It is forbidden to eat pork, but it is an obligation to eat it if you are starving and the pig is the only food available. God Almighty love us to take the concessions as much as he loves us to do the rules during regular times.
  25. If there is a necessity to use a dog for treating of mental illnesses or search drugs or rescuing mountaineers there is nothing wrong - as long a dog does not become a pet. The dog is not considered evil in Islam, but their saliva is considered impure. Muslims can't share the plate with dogs, but they can share a plate with a cat.
