  1. Dear Everyone, I worked in financial forex and futures markets before (before God's guidance made me realize the haram in it). Fibonacci sequence numbers were the golden rule of calculating the price points at which rallys and dips extend before reversal. If the level breaks then the movement will continue until probably the next level. The ratio was always 0.618 in addition to the current level (in other words 161.8% level of the movement, or 1.618 multiplied by the size of the movement in price). The number itself is based on successions: 1+2 = 3, 3 divided by two is 1.5. Now take the last two numbers and do the same, and you'll notice that the answer is becoming closer and closer to 1.618: 2+3 = 5, 5 divided by 3 is 1.66..... 3+5 = 8, 8 divided by 5 is 1.6 5+8 = 13, 13 divided by 8 is 1.625 8+13 = 21, 21 divided by 13 is 1.6153846... And so on. The numbers are known as the fibonacci sequence: 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89 and so on. The resulting percentages between the higher up figures in the pattern are almost 1.618 and continue to get closer and closer. It was evident in liquid wave measurement, echo response, and biological population ebbs and dips, to scientists it's like a physical equivelent of pi (3.14) This video is regarding the exciting find showing the evidence of the deliberate use of this number in the design of us as humans, but more importantly the miraculous positioning of Al-Kaaba. The creator is a turkish 3d Animator so he made the video beautifully. Enjoy it and please remember: say "subhan Allah" and don't forget a good dua for your humble posters. 2. Taliban Murders Moderate Cleric

The proper Islamic opinion with evidence that rebellion against Waleyy Al-Amr is forbidden even if corrupt or does not rule by Sunnah: and and The majority of proper established scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamâ`ah have adopted these hadîth and use them as evidence in their ruling that is unlawful to rebel against the ruler, no matter how oppressive he might be, unless he exhibits outright unbelief. Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal said: “Obedience to the ruler who is agreed upon by people is obligatory.” Imam al-Tahâwî said: “We do not support rebellion against our rulers even if they are unjust. We do not make supplications against them and do not set any revolution against them. We believe our obedience to them is obedience to Allah unless they order something unlawful. We make supplication for their guidance and their safety.” Ibn Abî al-`Izz al-Hanafî writes in Sharh al-`Aqîdah al-Tahâwiyyah: "It is much better to stick to obeying the rulers even if they are oppressors, because rebellion against them will cause even greater strife. Being patient with them will be an expiation for misdeeds and increase rewards.” Ibn Battâl said: “Scholars have agreed that it is better to obey the oppressive rulers and participate in jihâd alongside them than to rebel against them. This will prevent bloodshed and prevent strife. The only exception is when the oppressive rulers show clear unbelief.” Ibn Taymiyah writes: “The scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah are agreed that is obligatory to refrain from fighting in civil strife. This is an application of the authentic hadîth in this regard. Many scholars used to write that down in their statements of creed - that they believed in and they called others to believe in - to be patient and not to fight the rulers.” It is established by the scholars of practically all Islamic institutions around the World that what Taliban is doing is technically and for all intents and purposes, the illegal act of breaking out on the ruler with weapons, and should be dealt with under the ruling of "Corruptors in the Land". The underlined part of the prophet's hadith also shows that such rulers that cannot be rebelled against include not only bad ones but also those who do not rule by Sunnah or Shariah. The statement by Ibn Taymiyah is the REAL ACTUAL opinion of this great scholar, not what some people quote out of his books out of context, sometimes out of a paragraph where he is showing the wrong ideas and concepts that he intends to disprove, yet gets plastered in many places as his own fatwas and boldly attributing them to him. This murdered scholar -god rest his soul- has died in the path of telling the truth, and may God punish the murderers for their crimes.
  3. How Is Islam Different Than Other Religions?

Sorry Alim, I just noted your posts and frankly you are now adopting a full blown philosophy tangent and a hint of arrogant sarcasm. You are no longer presenting arguments that aim to go anywhere, you are presenting tid bits apparently selected from the philosophical garbage can, that address no purpose whatsoever in existence or whether or not Islam is really the truth. If you were the least bit sincere that wouldn't have been there at all. And therefore, allow me to apologize to you and inform you that my time is reserved for more worthy endeavours so forgive me for not caring to respond to you on any more of your arguments, from here on out. Whatever you decide is yours. However I already sensed from before that you already made up your mind, now though I can say we're certain. Truth is clear, and so is what is required of us. The consequences are more than clear to someone like you "who's been there" so to speak, so if you still disbelieve despite knowing that the concept is failed and leads nowhere (as all atheist concepts), yet you defend it out of philosophical enjoyment, then you don't have any faith left and that is your choice and God's. Just think about that when you become atheist and you're hypothetically right, you gain nothing while muslims lose nothing, because according to you everyone will be miraculously just dust in earth and laws of physics would have turned out to be violated at some point of age of the early universe for no reason and without a factor. But if you are wrong, you lose everything. You're not even emotional at the possibility and that seems to ascertain the situation. Why would anyone even think of that approach to life I think I will never understand! To the good words of an atheist acquaintance of mine who was saying: "I will be laying back there after we're dead asking where is this God and afterlife of yours?" to which my good learned friend answered: "WHERE will you be sitting?" Enjoy your career, your sexual endeavours, and your long remaining 10 to 50 years of life, if even that. I am sure you will spend them laughing all the way to ..... where else?
  4. Well, it's not like we have an authenticated hadith from the prophet, so it isn't a hard-core ruling, but in my own opinion considering that salaf sources forbid it, and most scholars of today are in consensus that it dishonours the quran and shouldn't be done, so I would say stick with the post-it notes and clear separate pages tucked in with the Quran rather than test something that brings about Ithm and haraam. What needs to be noted here is that it is not like something essential is forbidden without alternative, there is a permissible way to achieve any objectives of teaching and learning without doing this, so why bother and risk it? It is at least a highly suspect thing that can do us no good in doing while bringing about a possibility of harm. We used post it notes to mark places and verses and would copy down on a separate notebook our comments and tafsir and such, and that notebook we carry with the Quran, we were told not to write on the Quran, I wouldn't see a necessity to require exploring there. Wallahu Aalam of course
  5. How Is Islam Different Than Other Religions?

Alim in training, I am first surprised by your chosen nickname that is now making this post. I would have expected that alim in training would do just that to answer himself: go seek proper Eelm from proper sources. Why are you subjecting your faith and ultimate destiny to the hands of those who you don[##][/##]'t know in a forum, rather than seeking a good scholar to sit with? Anyway I am not judging you, just questioning your method, which may in part have led you to where you are at the moment, just a thought you may wish to consider. Anyway, let me go through some of your questions and help you with them. I will adress your ultimate question in the end: It[##][/##]'s a mix of the last two. The religion of God is Islam, sent down to Ibrahim -pbuh- and the first code of law. It was the message of Ibrahim and all his progeny of prophets: [##][/##]"Were ye witnesses when death appeared before Jacob? Behold, he said to his sons: [##][/##]"What will ye worship after me?[##][/##]" They said: [##][/##]"We shall worship Thy Allah and the Allah of thy fathers, of Abraham, Isma[##][/##]'il and Isaac,- the one (True) Allah. To Him we bow (in Islam).[##][/##]" [2:133] [##][/##]"We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma[##][/##]'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).[##][/##]" [3:84] [##][/##]"And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help![##][/##]" [22:78] [##][/##]"When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: [##][/##]"Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah.[##][/##]" Said the disciples: [##][/##]"We are Allah[##][/##]'s helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.[##][/##]" [3:52] So all the [##][/##]"Abrahamic[##][/##]" religions as some theologists like to classify them are all Islam, one and true. It is the people who corrupted them bit by bit in their times, some were changes to rulings here and there (like the jews), or complete refabrication like the christians. The Quran language and perfect delivery is what sets it apart and God[##][/##]'s promise to protect it from corruption stands as a testament today to its truth, as no book in history has ever been untouched in a single letter except the Quran, and it contains its own proofs of authenticity both in mathematical balances by the scores found by statisticians, to the plethora of scientific facts found by examiners across all time, most of which were not even known back then. Other inspired man-made religions have been cultivated through the corruption of the ages and mostly to just create a business, starting from the pharonic and greek gods that need [##][/##]"gifts[##][/##]" and spending from the public to please them, through the scientology church of today which was bluntly built by someone who said [##][/##]"if you wanna make real money, invent your own religion[##][/##]" This corrupt saying is exactly the mindset that man-made religions like people to have, which is [##][/##]"CHOOSE the IDEAL religion for you, that speaks to you![##][/##]". It doesn[##][/##]'t matter if it is a pagan idol worshipping lucky charm style religion based on merchants flondering their wares since the times of Babylon in the guise of small statuettes that give you [##][/##]"favour[##][/##]" till today[##][/##]'s version of Fung Shui pig and bull statues that [##][/##]"redirect wealth and happiness into your world.[##][/##]", or if it is a code of philosophy for [##][/##]"enlightenment[##][/##]" like Confucious and Tao and Budhism, or if it is a complex monotheitic extraction of Jesus[##][/##]'s message like the Baptist chruch. God[##][/##]'s religion is one from the beginning to the end and has been supported not only by the complete proven history of events since Ibrahim through Moses to Mohammed, and now supported by the one unmatched book of authentic relevence to the World then and now untainted by human intervention, but also stands tall against all man made religions in it being without church or money-grubbing clergy. Yes because that is the most crucial thing in your existence, to recognize WHO created you. If there were several gods they would fight and existence would be corrupt. If the one God was not completely capable then there will be things that are out of his ability and that requires another God. If the World had no god it will be nothing but hydrogen if even that, fact of physics and thermodynamics that no elements could be formed and if a big bang did occur then everything would stay hydrogen single proton atoms (if even that) floating around in the space as gas slowly diluting. The Qur[##][/##]'an is telling you that you should use your OWN LOGIC to realize how stupid and impossible it is to have anything other than One Single God. Existence of deviant groups or corrupted sects or weakness of faith or differences brought by political movements does not take away from the fact you are still charged with relying on a very real one God, praying to him as required, doing good in your life, in order to fulfill your obligation. Not correct. Modernization has been loss of strength of adherence due to lack of knowledge, conquered countries, failed empires, burned books, and lashed and killed societies. The strongest revival and reform movement today is the methodology of Salaf, which literally means following the original method of the prophet and his companions and most muslims of the World are re-embracing their faith properly based on that. Modernization you speak of is again the human based faiths that change according to what[##][/##]'s popular because they want to BE popular and keep stupid people coming in to seek forgiveness at money-grubbing clergy. In the imagination of their inventors and hopefuls!!! Communism failed miserably and is almost disappearing from our World and Western style democracy is becoming nothing short of a farce today that is leading the countries nowhere! Good thinking, divine they are because they cannot be [##][/##]"influenced[##][/##]" by people. However every law in the book of physics stands against the possibility of our existence as we are today and the scientists correctly say: [##][/##]"We don[##][/##]'t know how[##][/##]" at all such situations (mentioned two such dilemmas just moments before). So what[##][/##]'s your problem with God[##][/##]'s religion, the one true religion that actually MATCHES scientific evidence and USES it to make its points. Wrong, fate is predetermined out of knowledge, not force. You are free to make your decisions and you make them and get the consequences. Your decisions however has already been [##][/##]"known[##][/##]" and foreseen along with the consequences and therefore your destiny. To prove that too, the messenger has presented us with so many [##][/##]"snapshots[##][/##]" of the World to come and I think today the hadith of [##][/##]"bare-foot sheep herding arabs would compete in making their buildings taller[##][/##]" stands as a mind-altering statement as you watch Dubai today achieving the highest building in the World and the next THREE competing towers are all in Arabia. That is true, and you are choosing yours, and it is because of THAT your destiny is sealed, not because of anything else. If you choose people of knowledge and sit with them and study and spend the effort, you will see all the fallacies in all these silly arguments you are making. If you ignore these things and bring it to a forum and want to [##][/##]"debate[##][/##]" philosophies and Voltaire and democracy might work, then you asked for it and should not claim that anyone else controls your decisions. Your ultimate question. And the answer is simple: Because Islam is the truth, with evidence. Ignore the evidence, and you will earn your destiny. Wassalamu Alaikom P.s. As for resigned's "You forgot to add [##][/##]"because I say so[##][/##]" for proof of your claims" Before you bring this over to my post and statements, allow me to answer you: Your lack of trust in a statement does not refute it, and this whole website and forum stands on Islamic religion which is a belief built on a book, a book that has proven its authenticity through a multitude of methods which if you are not aware of, you may go and learn about. Being ignorant of them and attempting to set a ground rule that Quran is not a valid source is a corrupt approach to start with and one that is old and worn out, but still may be acceptable by other ignorants, so if you still attempt to use it here it will be fruitless and will simply leave you standing there without any further response. If you want to DISPROVE, that is when you have to bring evidence, something that athiests have failed to produce over the past millennium so forgive me for not holding my breath.
  6. Hi Um Ahmed, According to the good salaf and companions, writing anything in the Quran was forbidden. They were reluctant to even write the names of chapters and numbers for verses, and only after a long time did that work its way, necessarily reviewed though to show it is not part of the Quran (hence the chapter names come in these boxes because it is not part of the verses in that place). ÅÈÑÇåíã ÇáäÎÚí Ýí ãÕÍÝí ÝÇÊÍÉ ÓæÑÉ ßÐÇ æßÐÇ ÝÞÇá áí: (ÇãúÍå ÝÅä ÚÈÏÇááå Èä ãÓÚæÏ ÞÇá: áÇ ÊÎáØæÇ Ýí ßÊÇÈ Çááå ãÇ áíÓ Ýíå) Abi Hamza narrated that Imam Ibrahim Annakhee saw written in his quran a note saying "Surat so and so" as a reminder and he told him to delete it, as Abdullah Ibn Masood said "do not write anything in the Quran that wasn't of it." Yes many schools do that even in Saudi Arabia, write notes and markers and such in the Quran, and most of the Sheikhs are repeatedly reminding schools to inform the teachers not to do so. Sheikhs and scholars have said as an alternative teachers and students can keep a separate sheet with all the notes and marks and whatnot and keep WITH the quran, or make a folder for each quran to put notes and such in the folder pockets, or as my earlier post to place a sticker on the outside spine or back folder to mark who it belongs to. As far as I have listened from my teachers and read from authentic institutional sources, there is practical consensus on that writing within the quran dishonours it and is something that should be fixed (by deleting and cleaning) and taught. As always there are no sins on those who didn't know, and of course as always, despite the consensus, only God knows Best
  7. No, it is not ok to write anything in the Quran, not even highlight or underlining a word or writing the name in the inside of the front folder. The only thing permissible is a sticker on the outside folder to denote that it belongs to a Masjid or for a student to mark that it is his book. Nothing though on the pages of the Quran.
  8. Missed Step Of Salah

No need for the Mufti's website, I was asking about the source and evidence. Based on my teachers and what I know, and what I would advise brother eeps with is that he can face the Qiblah on wudu and go down to make sajdatay al-sahw, that's all. They said the rule is based on authenticated hadith sahih: وحديث ابن مسعود - رضي الله عنه - أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى بهم الظهر خمساً فلما انصرف قيل له أزيد في الصلاة ؟ قال: ( وما ذاك ))؟ قالوا : صليت خمساً . فثنى رجليه واستقبل القبلة ، وسجد سجدتين (رواه الجماعة) From Ibn Masood -ra- that the prophet -pbuh- prayed five rakaas for Dhuhr and when he finished completely they asked him whether there was new addition to prayer? He said: "What are you talking about?" They said: "You prayed five rakaas" So he turned to Qibla and went down for two sajdas" Narrated by Jamaa So if one prays extra and forgets the sahw sajdah, he can do it later on. That's why I asked for evidence for us to learn what is the opinion based on. It is important to know to understand Fiqh methodology and the correctness of the opinion, that's all.
  9. Mortgage

It is best to go to Islamic finance institutions, and the ones from the GCC are best at that. There should be a lot of institutions represented in Canada. An Islamic bank mortgage is an acceptable means, just stay clear from "refinancing" your home because that is Eina trade and it is not permissible in Islam, yet Islamic bank execs twist around to make it seem so because it gets them more business and more money.
  10. Missed Step Of Salah

Hi UmAhmed, Can you get the source of evidence regarding this please? I am only saying that because I know different and I just asked two of my scholar teachers and they confirmed that the extra rakaa by mistake even without sajdat sahw does not invalidate the prayer. We can all learn here. :sl: Wassalam
  11. How Islamic Is Taliban?

Forgive me for being away for a while, I have been doing some long overdue studying. Now, on-topic, Taliban is no longer a body of mujahideen who are fighting communist or capitalist invaders. Once they stepped into the first firing of bullets in Pakistan, they have become by definition a rebellion. Things that they have done or not done or what they are vying for all seem to be politically motivated and twisted for and against them. We have seen sufficient evidence to propaganda efforts from the west, but also enough propaganda efforts from the Pakistan Taliban themselves. That should not be of concern, actually like Kab said, we should focus on the actions and describe them as such. The action Aisha mentioned has been mentioned in many news sources including non-Western ones, and as a matter of fact has been confirmed by them in one of their statements. They beat a woman because she left the house with a father-in-law. This shows great lack of knowledge on two accounts: 1) Father-in-law is a mahram and it is permissible for a woman to leave with him and be with him. 2) Even if it wasn't, there are no lashes in Shariah for someone who is in public with a non-mahram or for going out without a mahram. This shows that Taliban in Pakistan is enforcing something other than Shariatul Islam, either by lack of knowledge or by deliberate intention. In both cases, it is wrong and impermissible. Additionally, the Taliban has commited a second sin, and that is overriding the ruler. Applying punishment and Hodoud is a job for Waleyy Al-Amr, where he appoints knowledgeable representatives to do so in a respectable manner and after ensuring that all conditions are met, such as proof, witnesses, establishment of the crime, etc.. Overriding the ruler is a crime in Shariah and Haraam. There are other recently reported acts, one is the blowing up of a Masjid during Friday prayer, the other is a suicide attack, and there is no proof that I heard of regarding that Taliban actually did those, so there is no need to bring them here and they are too obviously of the most horrible grave acts that I do not need to explore them. They do however violate a cardinal rule, and that is the order of the prophet not to break ranks of a ruler. There are many hadiths and direct dictations regarding this, for example: 1 - عن ابن عباس قال‏:‏ ‏(‏قال رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وآله وسلم‏:‏ من رأى من أميره شيئاً يكرهه فليصبر فإنه من فارق الجماعة شبراً فمات فميتته جاهلية‏)‏‏.‏ وفي لفظ‏:‏ ‏(‏من كره من أميره شيئاً فليصبر عليه فإنه ليس أحد من الناس خرج من السلطان شبراً فمات عليه إلا مات ميتة جاهلية‏)‏‏.‏ 2- وأخرج مسلم من حديث أم سلمة مرفوعاً‏:‏ ‏(‏سيكون أمراء فتعرفون وتنكرون فمن كره برئ ومن أنكر سلم ولكن من رضي وبايع قالوا أفلا نقاتلهم قال لا ما صلوا‏)‏ 3 - وعن عوف بن مالك الأشجعي قال‏:‏ ‏(‏سمعت رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وآله وسلم يقول‏:‏ خيار أئمتكم الذين تحبونهم ويحبونكم وتصلون عليهم ويصلون عليكم وشرار أئمتكم الذين تبغضونهم ويبغضونكم وتلعنونهم ويلعنونكم قال قلنا يا رسول اللّه أفلا ننابذهم عند ذلك قال لا ما أقاموا فيكم الصلاة إلا من ولى عليه وال فرآه يأتي شيئاً من معصية اللّه فليكره ما يأتي من معصية اللّه ولا ينزعن يداً من طاعة‏)‏‏.‏ 4 - وعن حذيفة بن اليمان‏:‏ ‏(‏أن رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وآله وسلم قال‏:‏ يكون بعدي أئمة لا يهتدون بهديي ولا يستنون بسنتي وسيقوم فيكم رجال قلوبهم قلوب الشياطين في جثمان أنس قال‏:‏ قلت كيف أصنع يا رسول اللّه إن أدركت ذلك قال‏:‏ تسمع وتطيع وإن ضرب ظهرك وأخذ مالك فاسمع وأطع‏)‏‏.‏ 5 - وعن عرفجة الأشجعي قال‏:‏ ‏(‏سمعت رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وآله وسلم يقول‏:‏ من أتاكم وأمركم جميع على رجل واحد يريد أن يشق عصاكم أو يفرق جماعتكم فاقتلوه‏)‏‏.‏ رواهن أحمد ومسلم‏.‏ When they fought invading forces, they deserve all support. When there were questionable things right afterwards, it could have been argued to ask God for their guidance and still support them. But to commit what has been dictated above by the prophet -pbuh- to be an act that is amounting to treason and as per the first Hadith "Will die the death of Jahiliya", then it isn't for us to blindly support. There is consensus amongst respected scholars that their actions in Pakistan is impermissible on so many acts. Some sideliners and sympathisers use the old arguments that was used by rebels and revolters across time, and that is falsely attributing it to Ibn Taymeyyah (who actually did not revolt against any muslim leader even the hugely corrupt ones), by using the verse in Quran "And whomever does not rule by what God sent, those are the non-believers." That argument has already been found to be lacking as well as requires the change of authentic interpretation. As per Ibn Kathir: وقوله تعالى: {ومن لم يحكم بما أنزل اللّه فأولئك هم الكافرون} قال البراء عازب، وابن عباس، والحسن البصري، وغيرهم: نزلت في أهل الكتاب... وقال ابن عباس قوله {ومن لم يحكم بما أنزل اللّه فأولئك هم الكافرون} قال: من جحد ما أنزل اللّه فقد كفر، ومن أقر به ولم يحكم به فهو ظالم فاسق. The verse by consensus is in the Jews who falsified their book to start with and more scholars "including Ibn Abbas" saying that it sticks to them. It refers to their action in FALSIFYING what God has sent and its application. Scholars have agreed that the verse applies to them alone, and its application to Muslims is specifically in declaring rules denial and attempting to change the Quran or hadith like the jews did. Lack of Application whether out of weakness, or personal desires, or fear for consequences that they think will be worse off for the people, or due to relaxation, is not kufr as per Ibn Abbas, Al-Barraa Azeb, Hasan Al-Basary, and the majority of scholars. The number of people who say otherwise are in the undue weight of minorities and therefore it cannot apply. Regarding saracen soldier and evisions posts, please note that "takfir" people is a huge matter, and I don't think you can cover all its points and repurcussions here, however you need to note the following prophet's hadith in Sahih Moslem: The hadith before you start attacking it is in Sahih Moslem, has been re-authenticated by Al-Albani, and confirmed by Ahmed Ibn Hanbal and Ibn Taymeyyah in their books. The line: لا يهتدون بهديي ولا يستنون بسنتي which translates "do not guide by my guidance and do not rule by my Sunnah" specifically and explicitly describes such Imams as those who rule by other than Shariah. Therefore, the hadith is a clear indication that the Imam who does not rule by Shariah, is still to be obeyed and cannot by revolted against. The hadith as I said is authenticated, and cannot be abrogated because it specifically speaks of times to come after his passing, which means it was Wahhy (inspiration), so to deny it you are either calling the prophet uninspired or not knowledgable Astaghferollaha Al-Atheem. So with this hadith, it is a requirement to follow Waleyy Al-Amr or the Imam even if he doesn't apply Shariah as per the LETTER of the hadith. Evision, although you seem to actually be against Taliban in your post, I just wanted to clarify that your secondary interpretation of the verse has only a minority opinion for it to being total kufr, and therefore cannot be used to make a ruling. Further more, if the interpretation is considered as such, it would by necessity negate the what the prophet ordered, which is impossible. If Taliban in Pakistan can be regarded as Kuffar or Kafiroon, then it is by something else, but that is a different matter. It is therefore also important that regardless of that, Taliban is trying to apply its own Shariah by their own forceful hands, not to let Shariah have its application in a civilized manner. This is not permissible and from the root is wrong. At the very least there is a problem in that they are seeking power and position for themselves, which the prophet said "لا تولوها لطالبها" translated: "do not give leadership or governance to its seeker" not to mention there isn't an Amir that the Taliban is representing so that people can choose. That is all aside from the fact as said that no new leader can be given Bayaa if there is already a current one, so the whole approach is corrupt. Hence, the only decision if we wish to "support" the Taliban, is to apply the prophet's hadith: "Support your brothers whether being oppressed (transgressed upon) or oppressing (transgressing upon someone else)" and when asked how to support them when they are the ones aggressing, the prophet answered "by preventing them from their transgressions." so as to save them from the real harm, and that stacking grave sins and being condemned to punishment by God. I have found this to be the personal opinions of all scholars I spoke with in Egypt Azhar, Sheikhs in Saudi, and Malaysia Islamic University. They actually helped formulate some of the details here as well as provided much more other supporting arguments. It is their opinion that Taliban fighting in Pakistan have nothing to do with the Islamic supporting base and rulings that Taliban fighting the Soviets had. And May we all be guided
  12. The Voting For Sharia In Somalia

This is by and large the farthest length of Ta'weel I have seen in a long time! I do not know this Imam, but this opinion is completely misguided! It is loading a meaning on to a Quran verse which it did not have, and further uses conclusions to arrive at takfeer and declaring muslim people as apostates which is forbidden. This verse was about the prophet and his special standing as a judge between the people, in that when the prophet judged in a dispute for Zubeir and another man, he ruled for Zubeir and some people thought and said that he favoured Zubeir and wanted to "appeal" the messenger's decision. So this verse came down to affirm THAT, to accept the prophet's rulings when he judges amongst people. Regardless of that, Shura has been commanded by the prophet, so there's nothing wrong with deliberation and discussion and taking a vote to see what the opinion is, especially if management is put in hands of many. Further more the prophet -pbuh- always instructed his emissiries and later his governors to apply things gradually. It is a victory to Islam that Shariah gets voted in, but to twist the situation like that seems to me nothing more than a politically motivated opinion to get more fighting and bloodshed amongst muslims. The prophet stated that as long as people declared God is one and prayed and paid zakat, he had no right to shed their blood. On what basis now is a government that even applied Shariah, is to be submitted to Jihad? God forbid such misguided bloodshed, and provide guidance for all.
  13. Just A Simple Prayer

Brother Imran, Can you tell me more on what is going on with your father's business? Many people seem to be closing their businesses these days when they absolutely don't have to, it amazes me. I am a serial enterpreneur and has become an enterpreneur advisor and small business consultant. Give me some details (industry, country, market, what seems to be the problem, etc.) I might be able to help. Wassalam
  14. Yes according to the same source, they were created 2000 years before Adam. Their war and destruction is what made the angels say as per the Quran when God told them he will create humans "Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." [2:30] Somia's position was just like Adam, the first of the Jinn and he was sent to Earth.
  15. A Message To Non-muslims

Mofwtomy, You seem to come with specific worries that revolve around this subject of whether Islam advocates killing non-believers or not, and are looking for a straight up answer. The short simple answer to your question is no, non-believers shouldn't be killed because they do not believe in God. It is dictated and practiced in Islam from the very beginning till today. What Redeem and Kab are trying to communicate is that God's religion is sent for all people, and preventing the message from being delivered is an act of warfare against God. That is the definition of "An enemy of Islam". So you have the personal option of accepting the message or not, up to you. If you prevent it by blocking the people carrying the message, they are to use force to carry it through. If you still stand in the way and bare arms, you are an outright warrior and will receive arms against your arms. Do you now understand? So now you are discussing and asking and debating, no muslim has been given right to you just as much as you don't have right on my blood. You go and decide that you don't subscribe to this and wish to live and die a non-believer, that is also your choice and right. Whether or not you live in a muslim nation, you are untouched. If you start inciting hatred and redicule towards Islam, this is where a separation is brought: If you are in a non-muslim nation with which there is a treaty, the muslim authority has no right over you, but if you are in a muslim nation and you blast the country's religion, you will be put under the rule of the law, as I think you would be in any nation, whether it is Russia or China or israel or Saudi. If war is declared and muslims are fighting in foreign land, any non-believer who raises arms or does not confine himself to his home, or a house of worship, is of course a hostile target that is permissible to fight and kill, unless the person surrenders. In all cases, no civlian has the right to kill someone whether believer or not, enemy of Islam or not, it is otherwise the job of the authorities and there needs to be due process and evidence or witness accounts to prove the case. Even at war the combatants are given the code of conduct set by Islam which was explained above (not to attack inside a home or a house of worship, or someone surrendering) in addition to not killing non-combatants like women and old people, not to even frighten or scare children (through separation from their families or acts of terror or threats), and not to tear down trees or pillage, and to follow the orders of the commander at all times unless they violate the code of conduct. I hope this clarifies the whole.
  16. By the way, just for the general knowledge, researched a bit and found that according to Ibn Abbas, the more agreeable opinion from the stories of Al-Athar is that Somia was the first of the Jinn (So the more acceptable story is that Satan is not the first Jinn, and was "reproduced" like the rest of the Jinn), which is more in line with the way the syntax expresses him in the Quran "Except for Iblis, he was from the Jinn...". According to the record from Ibn Abbas Somia was the father of the Jinn and was the one who asked for him and his proginy to see but be unseen, to flow through the vast lands, and for their old to be young. Anyway, they went to war with each other and corrupted the land and the law, so God sent the angels who destroyed them almost all of them, and favoured and took Satan with them, while the few remaining ones became into tribes and separated on Earth. And God knows Best
  17. Ahhhhhh! The lamb (ram) that replaced Ismail from being slain. :sl: NICE one. Totally missed it.
  18. By the way, wouldn't the verse "And he created from every living thing a couple", means that every animal on earth had a male and female pair created without ovaries (at least the female of the pair)?
  19. Thanks guys, you are too kind. I think I got it quickly because it was only two weeks ago that I was going over some studies about the Quranic accuracy of speech in that how the ant's warning was specifically: "Enter your homes or you will be broken by Suleiman and his soldiers" and scientifically, ants body structure wouldn't be squashed or flattened, but broken due to the exoskeleton. Another marvel in the reportoire of the Quran's perfect inspiration. :sl: Brother Younes
  20. Oh! Wait, warning... the ant that warned its colony to get inside otherwise they will be destroyed by King Suleiman and his army?!
  21. Hmmm. The "his people"is throwing me off, because if he's not human nor jinn, then that goes for his people too, they're neither human nor jinn. Otherwise I would have said Haroot or Maroot, the two angels who were in Babel, but those were warning humans and jinn who came to learn magic from them, not their people.
  22. The Flaw With All Religion?

Dshurd, for a while now brother you have been going through some messed up thoughts and we spoke about it before. I am seeing strong church and athiesm influence in your statements (higher power, meditating, humans higher than animals) and you need to clear your thought process and understand that before anything, you are not supposed to or expected to discover things untold clearly. Man-made religions are trying to work people's imagination so as to let them be attracted by whatever works for them, at the end of the day it's a church that wants devoted followers and donations. That is not God's religion Islam. What Allah is and how he is are thoughts of philosophy that led scholars astray so what do you think they will do to you?! Stop thinking about complicated unrequired things because as Redeem said you might start thinking and saying something really extreme, obviously your demon is pushing you in this direction because he knows the confusion it will create on your unlearned mind. Islam is the word of God and everything you need is specifically provided from the beginning, I don't understand how you can be "praying and praying and reading quran" like you were saying in the other messages earlier yet say something silly like "Allah cannot have compassion or mercy" when that statement begins every quran chapter and is read at least four times every prayer. I told you before, I am telling you again, I think you need to calm down and maybe see a professional councilor because you're hyperchondriac and hyperstressed. Stop worrying about so much stuff, just do your prayers imagining the path to Kaaba in front of visually, and when you're done just work on your studies or your job or play a video game or go out and meet some friends, in other words live your life as it is today and RELAX. 23. Duaa For Pregnancy

Hi Balushia, Been reading your introduction post and it said your husband has 9 children with his other wife. :sl: :sl:  :j: :D :D :D :D :D Bismillahi Masha Allah, God bless and increase! My last reply I thought he's really yearning for a child of his own. It's obvious though that you are both individually completely healthy in that area, you need to definitely check with a doctor for an incompatibility thing then. Good luck :D
  24. I Need Help Understanding...

Dear NikkiLizz., No, there is no priest or any such character in Islam. You see in Christianity, the key of the religion revolves around the church. At first it was one, and when ideological differences ensued they became many. The church has priests who act as conduits of forgiveness, receivers of confession (in catholicism) and awarders of pardon. That is what provides the church its use and position. Islam is the religion of God, and God judges the individual, and forgiveness is asked directly from the forgiver and it is up to God to forgive. So there are no priests or church or bishops. A Sheikh is not an ordained person of holiness, but traditionally an Arabic title of respect given to a man of knowledge and maturity (Linguistically and technically it means just an old man). It is used sometimes with a person who have studied a lot that he can guide other muslims in any queries they have about their religion and life, and would be able to conduct teaching sessions and lead prayers using his reportoire of memorized Quran. Thanks to the academic tools of today and learning channels, we have many people who have reached great levels of knowledge at a relatively young age, they are more commonly now known as scholars (ulemaa), with Sheikh being given out of respect for an established senior one. There are no sacraments in Islam, again because there is no church. There are prayers though that are performed daily, fasting the month of Ramadan and optionally other days, and other acts of worship that you will learn when you join Islam insha Allah. There are rituals performed at Hajj, which is the pilgrimage that every muslim needs to perform at least once in their lives if they can, including circling the Kaaba seven times, and casting stones at the pillars that mark the spots where the devil used to appear to Ibrahim -Alayhi Assalam. Don't worry about needing to learn things to enter Islam. The only thing you need is that you believe in the one true God, and that Mohammed is his true messenger. Pronounce the Shahada: "Ash-hadu Alla 'Elaha 'Ella 'Allah, wa Anna Mohammadan Rasoolo Allah" (I proclaim that there is no god but Allah, and that Mohammad is his Apostle). That is what you need. Then find the prayer section (very good one right here in this forum) and begin learning from then. And congratulations on embracing the truth. Sam
