  1. 1. A Message To Richard Dawkins. (uk Athiest)

May the Peace and Blessings of Almighty God be Upon You All, You have probably not received an answer, because my brothers and sisters in Islam can see by your character, revealed through the language you use in your posts, that you do not have true intentions, and even if proof was brought to you, clear and plain, you would not accept. We experience this all the time, and are quite frankly tired of wasting our day speaking to those who will not listen. However, I will give some thought provoking statements incase I have misunderstood. (If I have, please forgive me.) I will tell you a story I heard a while ago.. A Muslim man had setup a date and a time to meet with 2 acquaintances he had met a few weeks earlier. These two individuals did not believe that a God existed, but were open to discussion of the topic and agreed to meet this man and share each others points of view and ponder the evidences each gave. The two gentlemen arrived at the location that was agreed upon and waited for the Muslim man to meet them. They waited about an hour before he showed up. "What happened?" They asked. "You are a Muslim, are you not suppose to be punctual and keep good on your promises?" "Yes," the Muslim man explained, "I am very sorry. I came to a bridge on the way here that was not complete and there was no way to cross." "Then how did you get here?" The two men asked. "Well, I was waiting there, and out of no where the wooden boards and nails just appeared, completed constructing the bridge and I was again on my way!" exclaimed the Muslim. "What?! You're crazy, that could never happen!" they shouted. "Then how is it you believe the entire Universe and everything in it came from absolutely nothing by mere chance?" -The End
  2. Are These Excerpts From The Quaran True?

These are different TRANSLATIONS of the Qur'an. There is only ONE VERSION. Translation and version are 2 completely different things. For example: The Roman Catholic version of the Holy Bible has 73 books. The Protestant versions (KJV, NIV, etc, etc...) has 66 books. They are both in English, but they are different VERSIONS. Even the KJV and NIV in the protestant versions are different. The adding or subtracting of entire books or verses. A translation is simply the explanation of the original into another language. Sure we have different translators of the Qur'an, but they all are translating from the exact same original manuscript. (Unlike the 25,000 different manuscripts of the Bible...) The original Qur'an is ONLY in the ARABIC language. We do not consider the translations the word of Allah, only the Arabic.
  3. My Purpose In Life, Will Power?

Assalamu Alaikum, Hussein, Step 1: Start Praying! Step 2: No matter how many sins you may commit, sincerely repent and make an effort not to return to those sins Step 3: Put your full hope and trust in Allah SWT and His will. Our destiny has already been written, so whatever is happening to us was suppose to happen to us from the very beginning. "...The pen has been lifted and the ink has dried..." (reference?) So pray for patience. Pray for guidance. Remain steadfast. May Allah SWT forgive us our transgressions and keep us all on the straight path. Amin.

  5. Younger Muslims?

Keilen, I can definitely relate. I haven't told anybody on here my past, but since it seems relevant and may help you I will. After my mother died when I was 14 I started getting into really heavy narcotic drugs. This went on for years (before my reversion.) I tried to quit on my own when i reverted but it was too difficult to get away from. So I took it upon myself to admit myself into rehab and subhanallah I have been clean and sober ever since. Now seeing as how the drugs you use are only marijuana and alcohol, insh'Allah it will be very easy for you to stop on your own. All you have to do is change the people you hang out with, make du'a and trust in Allah SWT. Now after my mother died (i never really knew my father) I have been living with my grandparents. My grandmother has a firm belief in Christianity. She has found my Qur'an and made a huge deal out of it and got very angry. I have not come straight out in told my family that I am Muslim. Maybe they know, maybe they don't but they don't say anything about it and they havent treated me any differently so idk. As for people seeing you as weird or strange, there's an hadith (not sure of the exact hadith and please correct me if im wrong) where the Prophet SAW says: Islam started as something strange and it will return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers!
  6. Younger Muslims?

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Alhamdulillah! I am also a revert and I am 19 years of age. If there's anything I can help you with insh'Allah I will do my best to do it.
  7. Tahajjud

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, How do you pray Tahajjud? What should be said/recited and how many rak'ahs and at what time of night? Jazakallah khair
  8. Noam Chomsky: My Reaction To Osama Bin Laden’s Death

Of course they didnt capture him, they dont have the evidence to convict. They just successfully tied up the last loose end.
  9. Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa brakatuh, Kiraman Katibeen arent their names. It could be called their "job title." Kiraman Katibeen means - "noble scribes/recorders" as Brother Younes and Sister Lost in Paradise have said. They record are good and bad deeds. I'd imagine the recorder of out good deeds would be on our right shoulder and the recorder of our bad deeds would on our left. Correct me if I am wrong. All good came from Allah SWT all mistakes are from me.
  10. Armpit & Pubic Hair

Thank you sister. May Allah reward you for giving me a better understanding.
  11. Armpit & Pubic Hair

Assalamu alaikum, So Muslim men should pluck/shave there armpit and pubic hair completely off? Jazakallah khair for your responses sister. Sorry if I'm being repetitive, I'm just trying to understand a little better.
  12. Armpit & Pubic Hair

Also, what is the wisdom/purpose behind this? Is it compulsory?
  13. Armpit & Pubic Hair

Thank you brother Absolute and sister Redeem for your response.
  14. Armpit & Pubic Hair

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I have recently come to understand that Muslim men must shave their armpit hair. Is this true? If so, can anyone please give me more detailed information? Do we have to shave it completely off, or more of just keeping it trimmed? Also, pubic hair. Completely shaved or just neat and trimmed? Jazakallah khair
