  1. Hello everyone! The claims of atheists regarding the non-existence of God are totally unfounded. There's a great article written by Yunus bin Adam that clearly brings home the point that nothing makes sense except the existence of God. I am posting below the article mentioned. It is in the form of a dialog. ----------------------------------- Then Who Did?[using large font size is not allowed] by Yunus bin Adam There was once a really smart kid named Joseph who went to school one day. The teacher was teaching about evolution and was trying to convince him that God didn't exist. Teacher: God doesn't exist. We all came into being because we evolved from apes. Joseph: Well, I don't agree. That theory doesn't make sense. I believe that we are created by God. Teacher: Well then, tell me how come we don't see God? Joseph: You don't need to see Him. The Truth about His existence is crystal clear. Teacher: How is it clear? Joseph: (looking at the teacher's watch) Ma'am, I didn't see with my own eyes who made your watch. But I know for sure it wasn't an elephant. Teacher: But that's common sense! Joseph: Yes, that is common sense. You don't need to actually see with your eyes who made that watch because it is clear that only man could have made it. Teacher: I must admit you are right about the fact that only people have the ability to make watches. Joseph: Then isn't it clear that the sun and the moon were made by Someone who had the ability to make it? Tell me, respected teacher, if it wasn't God who made the sun and the moon, the trees and the mountains, the rivers and the oceans and you and me.......if it wasn't God who created all these things, then who did?! Teacher: Nobody! Joseph: Then that's like saying nobody made your watch! Teacher: I will think about what you have said. Joseph: I hope so, Ma'am. I truly hope so. ----------------------------------- Yunus bin Adam is the author of The Far-Off Event, a book that invites people to think and ponder in order to arrive at the Truth. ---------------------------------------
  2. Do Muslims Love Non-muslims?

Assalaamu alaykum. Compassion isn't love. But it's more needed than love. One can't love everyone but one can have compassion for all. Supposing a question was asked to Christians.....Do Christians love Muslims? How do you think they would answer this question? I'm sure we'd get differing answers, wouldn't we? Love is too strong a word to use. We reserve our love for specific people, not all. Hence, compassion is a better term to use than love.
  3. Do Muslims Love Non-muslims?

Assalaamu alaykum. You're right. It is a closed minded view. A true Muslim is open-minded and has compassion for others and this includes non-Muslims.
  4. Why Not Have Female Imams?

Muslims don't have female Imams because the Prophet (saws) never allowed a woman to lead people in prayer. It is not in the Sunnah and neither is it taught in the Qur'an. Whosoever goes against the Qur'an and Sunnah walks in the footsteps of Satan and will end up in Hell.
  5. Does God Only Love Muslims?

I'm sure there are brothers and sisters here on this forum who can advice you on this matter better than I can. Perhaps this issue can be dealt with in another thread?
  6. I Think Hell Is A Myth

You can think whatever you like. People are known to come up with all kinds of weird thoughts and ideas. We only care for the opinion of Allah and His Messenger (saws). And since your thoughts and beliefs are contrary to their opinion, it's clear that you are a disbeliever. And to engage in a discussion with you would only be a waste of precious time.
  7. Does God Only Love Muslims?

All people are born on the pure faith, as Muslims. But their parents make them disbelievers by teaching them the religion of their forefathers. This is stated in the following hadith: The Prophet Muhammad said, "No babe is born but upon Fitra (as a Muslim). It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist." (Sahih Muslim, Book 033, Number 6426) Still, among the disbelievers there are people who God will guide to Islam and thereby they will enter Paradise. And among believers, there are those who God will misguide and they will end up in Hell. Only God has knowledge of who is good and who is not. Many times one may observe that God guides people who we think are "bad". Or He may misguide someone who we think are "good". An excellent example would be to consider the case of Abu Talib, the Prophet's (saws) uncle. We would think, based upon all the support and protection Abu Talib gave to his nephew (saws), God would have guided him to Islam. But that's based upon our understanding and knowledge. God has knowledge we do not possess. There was pride and ingratitude in the heart of Abu Talib which was completely unacceptable in the eyes of God. This pride and ingratitude to God became manifest when Abu Talib made the choice to stick to the religion of his forefathers. It's shocking to think that a man who was so close to the Prophet (saws) as his uncle, a man who could clearly see that his nephew (saws) was speaking the truth, could live all his life and never once testify to that truth, but instead, right up till the day he died, persist in his disbelief and persist in rejecting His Creator, Sustainer and Protector! People make choices and they are held responsible for the choices they make. A person is what he is because of the choices he makes. If you are Christian, it is not because anyone forced you to be one. You made the choice to be Christian, that's why you are one. Similarly, if you are Muslim, it is because you made the choice to be Muslim. God doesn't force anyone to believe or disbelieve. But He certainly holds people to account for what they believe, do and say. God isn't unjust. People are unjust to themselves when they choose to reject their Creator. All people who are brought into this world are tested. If they make the wrong choices, would you say that God shouldn't have created them at all? And even if people make the wrong choices or reject God's message now, it isn't anything final. People can still change. People can still repent and turn to their Creator. Therefore, how can we say that God shouldn't have created non-Muslims? Right now a person may be non-Muslim. But perhaps in the future he might become Muslim. And vice versa. It's what you die on that will determine your fate in the Hereafter. And nobody has knowledge of who will succeed and who will not, except God. It is one of the reasons why we Muslims fear God. And brother Younes is right in saying that He cannot be questioned for what He does. It is we who will be questioned and of this, there is no doubt.
  8. The Next Book

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. I am the editor of a magazine. I had initially joined this forum to get the word out about a book, "The Far-off Event." I edited the book and posted the chapters in this forum. Alhamdulillahir Rabbil Al Ameen. The author continued to write and send me chapters of the next book. The next book contains incredible information, calling people to right guidance. I have with me 64 chapters and I have finished editing them as well. I was planning on posting these chapters but something kept me back from doing so. I have lost contact with the author. Therefore, even though I find the chapters of the next book to have high value, I will abstain from posting those chapters. But to give a piece of advice from this next book, the advice is this: keep an open mind and your ears wide open. This is the key to your success in the Hereafter. Don't be so concerned about who is right. Be concerned about what is right. I can't tell you more. I have learned much during my stay here, alhamdulillah. Jazak Allah khair to all those who read "The Far-off Event" and supported the mission of the author, to convey the message of Islam to this world. This will be my last post in this forum. I ask my respected brothers and sisters here to forgive me for anything inappropriate I might have said. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon you all. Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
  9. Assalaamu aaalaykum! The story of The Far-off Event continues...... Here's chapter 41! --------------------------------- Chapter 41 They were back in the air-conditioned room. There was an air of festivity and gaiety, balloons everywhere and sumptuous, delicious food. Henry had placed wonderful, exotic dishes on the table which made their mouths water. It was time to rejoice. It was time for a real party! However, this party was without wine and beer. It was without music and dancing. They had solved a very important mystery and Dr. Singh wished to reward them for it. It was a good reason to celebrate indeed! They ate to their hearts content and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. “Dr. Singh is full of surprises,†thought Marie as she bit into a slice of a delicious cheesecake. Richard was on a special diet and the strawberry cheesecake was one of the things that he was not supposed to eat. But he couldn’t resist it and ended up helping himself to a large slice. “One of life’s simple pleasures,†he told himself relishing every bite. After they had eaten, they settled down in their comfortable sofas. Henry served tea and coffee and to Amy he offered a mango milkshake. They had gone through a tumultuous, turbulent and difficult journey and they had discovered many bitter truths and realities. They had seen things which they didn’t like - yet they had bravely looked at them for what they were and had accepted them. Richard had accepted it all. Actually he was very pleased with himself. He congratulated himself for his decision to join the retreat and despite his fears regarding the Day of Judgment he couldn’t help feeling enormously satisfied. The logic of the whole thing gave him immense pleasure. He loved using his powers of reason and common sense. And the best thing was he had learned to keep his emotions under control. As for Martha - the discoveries had caused her much pain. It was like there were two people within her and each was pulling her this way and that. But because she had been so well-informed about cognitive dissonance - she was able to look at things more objectively and realize that she should choose only that which made sense. Dr. Singh was in a cheerful mood. “You all enjoying yourselves?!†he asked. “I sure am!†said Amy licking her lips. She was really enjoying the mango milkshake. “How about playing a game?†said Dr. Singh. “A game! Ooooh! Please - lets!†cried Amy excitedly. “Okay - the name of the game is - Better or Worse,†said Dr. Singh. “I’m going to describe to you certain things and you are going to have to tell me if the world would be a better place or worse as a consequence. So now - here’s the first example. Tell me - if everybody were to drink alcohol - this world would be a better place to live in or worse?†“Worse!! Definitely worse!†answered Jim at once. There was no doubt in his mind about that at all. “Why do you think it would be worse?†enquired Dr. Singh. “Well - we already learned that alcohol is bad for us,†replied Jim. “It causes many problems in society. And if everybody were to drink alcohol - then there would be more babies suffering from that Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. There would be more deaths on the roads. There would be more domestic violence. This world wouldn’t be a safe place to live in!†Dr. Singh nodded. “I just wanted to make sure you knew why it would be worse. For everything there has to be a reason. Okay, so now, here’s the second example. Tell me - if everybody were to gamble - this world would be a better place or worse?†“Worse!†said Richard. “I’m sure of this. And I’d like to explain why I think this world would be worse if everybody gambled.†They were all ears. “Think about a lottery - for example,†said Richard. “A lottery for 40 million dollars. To win that lottery the odds would be very great. And those who run the lottery would be making more money. They would collect more than 40 million dollars from people - numbering in the millions! And as for the winner - he has got a big prize for doing absolutely nothing! He did not work for it. So if he wins it - he can’t possibly expect us to admire him. We admire people who through hard work and perseverance have become successful. Not people who are too lazy to work - and who blow their money on lotteries. And the truth is most people will never win.†“And gambling is addictive too,†said Andrew. “Say a person wins $10,000 at a casino. Guess what? He’s not gonna stop gambling. He’s gonna play some more to win even bigger money! He wants more money and is not satisfied with what he has won. He’s not satisfied with $10,000.†“And then what about those evil suggestions in his head?†added Marie. “They would tell him - you won this - you can win more! You’re on a winning streak!†“Right! Right!†said Andrew. “And before he knows it - his entire $10,000 is gone! Left with nothing! At this point - he refuses to accept his loss - and says to himself - I’m gonna try again. Just one more try! This time I shall surely win. And after I win - I shall stop. I really will stop.†“Well - that’s how people become bankrupt,†commented Richard. “What’s worse - they even commit suicide - after putting on the stake everything that they have and then losing everything. So if everyone were to gamble - this world would be a terrible place to live in alright. It would be worse not better!†Dr. Singh was pleased with the explanation. “Here’s the third example,†he continued. “If all women were to cover themselves and conceal their bodies - this world would be a better place to live in or worse?†“Better! Much much better!†cried Richard thoroughly enjoying the game. “And the reason for that is - there would be fewer rapes. Fornication and adultery would be also less. And I also think women deserve to be respected because they are our mothers. So if women cover themselves they’ll get the respect that they deserve. Not only that - it would also strengthen marital relationships...and families would have stronger foundations.†“Okay - example number four,†said Dr. Singh. “If everybody lied - this world would be better - or worse?†Amy raised her hand. “This world would be worse!†she said. “And why would it be worse?†Dr. Singh asked. “Because.....†Amy stopped. She couldn’t think why it would be worse. She just knew that lying was bad. Andrew came to the rescue. “It would be worse because it would destroy people’s relationships with one another,†he said. “We couldn’t trust anyone in a world where everybody lied. There would be suspicion, doubt and chaos - if everybody lied.†Dr. Singh accepted Andrew’s explanation. “Okay -here’s the last example,†he said. “How would this world be if everyone was honest? Better or worse?†“Better! Very very better!†said Amy. “And I can tell you why it would be better. Because when everybody is honest - there is nobody going to cheat you. And then we’ll have no worries. All of us will be very happy too.†Dr. Singh smiled at Amy’s answer. “You’re right,†he told her. “This world would be better if everyone was honest. So folks, I hope you enjoyed playing this game. I just wanted to point out to you that - what’s good for the whole society is good for the individual and what’s bad for the entire society is bad for the individual. So if we want to ascertain which action is good and which is not - we simply need to ask the question - would it be better for the whole society or worse? If it’s better - then it’s good. If not - then it’s bad.†“Makes sense to me,†commented Jim. “You can go to your rooms to unwind, relax or take a nap,†said Dr. Singh. “But before you go - we have these very interesting quotes for you.†Henry gave each of them a sheet of paper. The paper had the following quotes printed upon it: 1. “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.†- Albert Einstein. 2. “Things do not change; we change.†- Henry David Thoreau. 3. “To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe.†-Marilyn vos Savant 4. “Life is a long lesson in humility.†- James M. Barrie 5. “Death’s brother, Sleep.†- Virgil “I really like the first quote,†said Marie. “Religion without science is indeed blind!†“I like the second quote,†said Richard. “Things don’t change. That’s because God built everything upon Truth. Truth never changes. We’re the ones who change.†“These are really good quotes,†Andrew remarked. “But I’m wondering about the last one. Sleep is the brother of death?†“Would you like me to explain that?†asked Dr. Singh. “Yes, please!†Andrew was eager to know what it meant. But so were the others. Dr. Singh asked Henry to get something. Henry brought it and Dr. Singh held it up for all of them to see. It was a big poster. On it was a diagram. There was a large circle. At one end there was an arrow that penetrated the circle. The arrow went through the circle and came out of the circle at the other end. At the first point was a label that said Birth - Enter, and at the other point of the circle was a label that said Death - Exit. “The life of this world is like this diagram here,†said Dr. Singh. “We enter this world at one point and then we leave it at another point.†“It looks like a big bubble!†exclaimed Jim. “I think I’m beginning to understand!†said Andrew. “The life of this world is just like a dream! When we are dreaming everything is so real. And we realize that we were dreaming only when we wake up!†Dr. Singh smiled. He didn’t really need to explain anything. They were figuring it out all on their own! “So now it makes sense,†went on Andrew. “When we sleep we’re dreaming. Then we wake up. When we wake up - we see the reality and we know that we were dreaming. And if the life of this world is just like a dream - then death is pretty similar to sleep. Because after death - oh my God!†“What happened?†asked Jim. “After death -what?!†“Don’t you see?†said Andrew. “After death - we shall wake up! And that’s when we shall know that the life of this world was a mere dream! That’s when we shall see reality!†-------------end of chapter 41-------------
  10. The Far-off Event

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu! I am a newbie over here and am not really sure where to post this. I have an excellent book in my hands written by Yunus bin Adam entitled "The Far-Off Event". I would like to post the chapters here on a daily basis with the author's permission. This book has already benefitted a lot of people, Muslims as well as Non-Muslims. But you can read the chapters for yourself and decide what you think about it. And now, for the first chapter: --------------------------- The Far-Off Event[using large font size is not allowed] by Yunus bin Adam Dedicated to: All haters of untruth All our knowledge begins with the senses, proceeds then to the understanding, and ends with reason. There is nothing higher than reason.[using large font size is not allowed] - Immanuel Kant Source: Critique of Pure Reason, 1781[using large font size is not allowed] So listen to the voice of reason. For certainly....it is the voice of Truth.[using large font size is not allowed] ---------------------------------- Chapter 1 The words reverberated in his head. “You have only 6 months to live.†Richard White was dying. He was only 39 years old. “You can’t be serious, doctor,†he had asserted. But the doctor had a grim look on his face. Richard was devastated. He had millions of dollars in his bank account. But all his wealth was pretty useless. All the money in the whole world could not save him. There was no cure for the disease he was suffering from. He thought about his huge, grand mansion in which he lived, the number of cars he had and his great army of employees and servants who were always at his beck and call. He sat in his hospital room thinking. And many were the thoughts that passed through his mind. He remembered his past life, his childhood days, his adolescence and the days of his youth. How quickly the years had sped by! It was like it all happened yesterday. And now, his time was nearly up! Death was coming closer and closer by the minute. The thought frightened him. He was scared. So very scared. And there was nowhere to run. There was absolutely nothing he could do! Never before had he felt so helpless. The subject of death was one he always avoided. He had always read about people dying, and he had also attended several funerals. But he had never dwelt upon the unpleasant subject of his own death. And now, after the doctor had conveyed the dreadful news to him, he found himself thinking of nothing but death. He remembered the story of Emperor Shih Huang Ti, a Chinese ruler who was afraid of death and who wanted to live forever. He sent many people in search of an antidote that would make him immortal. But such an antidote was never found. “In this day of computers and great medical progress,†thought Richard, “no one has yet found a cure for death. Or even old age. I don’t fancy any one ever will.†“I wonder what happens after death,†he murmured to himself. “Is death the end of our existence?†“Or is there life after death?†“Does anyone know?†“How can I know for sure?†Richard was seized by a burning desire to know what the truth was. He suddenly wanted to solve the greatest riddle mankind had been puzzling over for centuries, and which was still enshrouded in complete mystery. Why do we die? What is the purpose of life, and what lies beyond death? He was a practical man and very shrewd. He was not a fool. He was not satisfied with religious explanations. He wanted a scientific answer. An answer that made sense. The phone rang. “Your chauffeur is here,†said the receptionist. “I’ll be down in a minute,†said Richard. Richard changed his clothes and left his hospital room. He signed some papers at the receptionist’s desk and then turned and walked a few steps towards the glass doors above which a sign said “EXITâ€. But something caught his eye and he went back a few steps. The object of his attention was the huge community board where several notices, flyers and posters were pinned. He was looking at one particular flyer pasted there. In bold letters, it said: WHO ARE WE? WHERE ARE WE GOING? WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH? COME SOLVE THE MYSTERIES OF LIFE AND DEATH WITH DR. SINGH. GET SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATIONS AND REASONABLE ANSWERS SIGN UP FOR OUR 10 DAY CLASS AND RETREAT TODAY! -----------------end of chapter 1--------------------------------- Will post chapter 2 tomorow insha'Allah. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  11. Yes, I certainly do agree that I am an ordinary Muslim. And my views and opinions have absolutely no importance. I do think I talk too much and it's time for me to exercise restraint and be silent. So I'll just make a graceful exit from here. Indeed, Allah is the best to judge all affairs. He is the one who will settle all disputes. Alhamdulillahir Rabbil Al Ameen! It has been a pleasure to make your acquaintance and be a part of this forum. Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
  12. There might be some Muslims who think they saw the Prophet (saws) in their dream. And the scholars have various opinions regarding this, as you say.... The truth is no scholar can say for sure whether they really did see the Prophet (saws). And when there is no certainty, it is better to leave the matter alone and let it go. Lastly, I'd like to say that if I had a dream and I saw a man who I "felt" was the Prophet (saws), I would keep that dream to myself and not attach too much importance to it.
  13. Which part of my interpretation goes against what the scholars have said? I have only pointed out what is clear to me. Or does that interpretation not sound logical to you? As for people of later generations who claim to have seen the prophet (saws) in their dream, I have stated that I prefer to leave speculation regarding their truthfulness alone. I neither accept it nor reject it. It's part of the unseen and I do not like to plunge into matters, the whole truth of which only Allah knows. If that's not being careful, I don't know what is. Scholars say a lot of things but they can never know for sure whether a person really did see the Prophet (saws) in their dream. This much is clear though. The saliheen or true believers could never lie. And that's why I said that if it was a true believer who saw the Prophet (saws) in his dream, then his dream would certainly be true. But how many true believers have come forward claiming to have seen the Prophet (saws) in their dream? Did any among these claim to have seen Prophet Muhammad (saws) in their dream? Fudayl bin Ayaadh, Ibraheem bin Adham, Abu Sulaymaan ad-Daaraanee, Ma`roof al-Kharkee, as-Siri as-Saqatee, al-Junaid bin Muhammad( Al Baghdadi), Abdul Qaadir, Shaykh Hammaad, Shaikh Abu al-Bayaan....? It would be very interesting indeed if anyone of these respected and pious Muslims ever claimed to have a dream in which they saw the Prophet (saws). I would be very keen to hear any story about any one of them relating such a remarkable thing. If anyone has any information whatsoever about a pious Muslim who claimed to have seen the Prophet (saws) in his dream, I would like to know about it.
  14. Yup. I am assured of that. I know very well that they are not easily found. They are the hidden jewels of the Earth. :sl:
  15. How can they be known? That's the question you didn't answer, respected brother. How do you determine who the saaliheen and the awliya are?
  16. Sayings Of Jesus You Might Like

Insight and rulings of scholars are not needed in matters that are clear. That is not to say that insight and rulings of scholars are not needed. Scholars can provide insight that can help enhance our understanding of the Qur'an. That's what scholars are there for. Not to make things complicated and encourage division but to clarify, explain, educate and help people comprehend the meaning of the Qur'an. And that, you have to agree, is definitely a good thing.
  17. You're right, respected brother. We normal people cannot know who the saaliheen are. They are special people found in every age, that's certain. But only Allah knows who they are. Jazak Allah khair for the information. :sl:
  18. Yes, please. I'm curious. What are your references? Another question, if you don't mind me asking. How do you determine who the saaliheen and awliyaa are? I would also like more information on this karamaat of the awliyaa.
  19. Sayings Of Jesus You Might Like

No Muslim scholar disputes the meaning given in Sura Ikhlaas. Anyone who begs to have a different opinion couldn't be called a Muslim. The Truth has always been clear. Accepting it or rejecting is another issue. One of the most important verses from the Qur'an: "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things." - 2:256
  20. Jazak Allah khair, sister for speaking the truth.
  21. I would rather get my facts from a source that I can verify to be 100% true. I was not aware that I was denying such a concept. I wonder what made you say that. :sl:
  22. Assalaamu alaykum, respected brother. Narrated Anas رضي الله عنه the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said, “Whoever has seen me in a dream, then no doubt, he has seen me, for Satan cannot imitate my shape. [sahih al-Bukhari] Evidently, when the Prophet (saws) said these words, he was speaking to Anas. And Anas was looking at the Prophet (saws). So if we look at it that way, it seems that the Prophet (saws) is talking about and referring to people who have already seen him and know what he looks like. If any of the companions were to see a dream and they saw the Prophet (saws) in it, there would be no mistake about who he was. It would be in reality the Prophet (saws) himself since Satan cannot come in his form. That's the way I look at it. The face is a person's identity and if we cannot see the face, how can we know for sure who we saw? We can't be. If so, then I just prefer to leave such matters alone and not speculate about them. I would react in the same way as you stated above, neither inclining towards it nor against it, provided of course that the person narrating the dream is an honest Muslim or a true believer.
  23. 3/4 of it is correct? Really? Let's find out by examining this e-mail. First of all, who is Sheikh Ahmed? The next question is - how do we know that he really had this dream? People always try to stress upon the truth of the story and yet they are unable to say where the story came from. What is the source of this story? Is it a reliable source? If all this was really true, then the Sheikh's address and contact information should have been given....so that we muslims can personally verify and confirm the truthfulness of this story. But there's no such contact information, is there? Next, let's consider the content! And it is all utter rubbish! Yes, Friday is a blessed day. But you can't say that this story is true because the sheikh had a dream on this day. Yes, perhaps we are living in the End Times. Some of the signs pertaining to the Last Day or Hour have already made themselves clear. Yes, we already know that there are many Muslims who are not practising their religion the way they are supposed to. There are women who do disobey their husbands, girls who do not cover themselves and people who do not give the zakat. But this has always been the case. I have a big problem with this line: "The Prophet said whoever reads this news to someone else, " I WILL ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT MAKE HIM A PLACE IN PARADISE, AND IF SOMEONE DOES NOT BELIEVE THIS NEWS TO BE TRUE THEY WILL BE BANISHED FROM PARADISE". So now, here is a way made by Sheikh Ahmed for us to secure a place in Paradise. And all we have to do is believe everything that is stated in the email, and spread the news?! This sounds good to you? :sl: And if we refuse to believe this good news we shall be banished from Paradise?!!! What crap!! Well folks, we need to remember a very important hadith: Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (ra), Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Convey on my behalf even if it is only a verse of the Qur'an, relate traditions from Banu israel, and there is no restriction on that; but he who deliberately attributes to me something false let him have his abode in Hell." - Al-Bukhari.- I wonder if you realize how serious this is? The person who has forwarded this e-mail, if it contains any false information - and if something false is attributed to our Rasul (saws) - he or she will have his abode in HELL. Here are the rest of the lines which have utterly no basis or support! There is not one shred of evidence to show that these words are from the Prophet (saws)! Are we to believe what the Prophet (saws) said in a DREAM to someone (who we don't even know is real)?!!! LINE 1: "....If a poor person gives out this news to other people his/her good wish will come true. Sheikh Ahmed said if this is not true then my death will be off a Non-Muslim." LINE 2: The Prophet said " KEEP FAST,DO PRAYERS,GIVE ZAKAAT AND GIVE KINDNESS TO THE POOR" Whoever Forwards This will get his/her reward in three days. LINE 3: One Person forward it to 40 people he had 8,000 thousand, take prophit in his buisness. One Person did not believe this news and his son died. One kept Saying he will forward it today, tomorrow but never forward this news he died as well." The writer of this e-mail is very bad in his English as well. By now, isn't it clear that this e-mail by crafted by Satan and his comrades?! This e-mail says - one person did not believe this news and because of his disbelief his son died! And another person said he would forward the email but kept postponing it and then he died as well! But isn't it strange that this e-mail does not say WHO those people are?! What are the names of the people who died because they didn't believe this message?!! Yes, as Muslims we are supposed to fast, give zakat and do our prayers. And we are to strive to do so. It is a life-long struggle. But most certainly, we won't be admitted to Paradise or be banished from it just because we forwarded or failed to forward an e-mail!! There is no doubt that the person who created this e-mail will have his place in Hell. But what worries me is the number of people who would believe the e-mail and forward it to others! They would actually be participating in spreading falsehood. And surely one ought to fear Allah regarding this matter. Audhu billahi mina shaytaanir rajeem! Lastly, I feel compelled to set the record straight here: Where there is no reason to doubt, I will not cast doubt. But where there is reason, I most CERTAINLY will! The way Islam works is that we as Muslims are obligated to investigate the source of all information before we place our belief in it. We are not to follow ANYTHING that is false or even give support to it. Islam is about upholding the truth and opposing falsehood. To not cast doubt upon people who fail to provide their contact information or who are unable to provide the source of their information would be a crime. My duty has been to convey the warning and to remind Muslims not to follow in the footsteps of Satan. That being done, I have nothing more to say or clarify. And Allah is the best to judge. Alhamdulillahir Rabbil Al Ameen.
  24. Which Scriptures are you talking about? There are tons of religious scriptures all over the world. Maybe you ought to be a little more specific. You are right. Man's spiritual condition is certainly terrible. But you don't really need any scripture to tell you that! It's pretty obvious! Just one prophecy is enough if it is indeed from God. Waste of time to repeat the same thing 300+ times. Which makes me ask, could you provide these 300+ references? Well, what was it exactly that God did not fail to preserve? And how did you come to the conclusion that Satan did NOT tamper with the Scriptures? And speaking of defeat, if you really believe in God's power and might, surely you ought to know that nothing can defeat God. He is The Invincible, the Most Powerful. If the scripture in question is the Bible, then we do not trust it. But we do trust one scripture of God. The scripture called The Qur'an. Ever heard of it?
  25. I don't know about prophethood, my dear brother. Prophet Muhammad (saws) was the last messenger and all revelations from Allah stopped with him. All I know is what our prophet (saws) himself told us about dreams. The only point of my concern was regarding the nature of dreams. A person can so easily lie about it. People can claim to see all sorts of things in a dream, even people who we think are "pious" Muslims. We have no way of knowing whether a person is speaking the truth or not. This is something that only Allah would know. I had received an e-mail once. It claimed that a certain sheikh had a dream and that he saw Prophet Muhammad (saws). Here is that e-mail: Subject: DONT DELETE! IF YOUR A MUSLIM! PLEASE READ THIS! This is true. From Madina Sheikh Ahmed has sent this news.On a Friday Sheikh Ahmed fell asleep reading the Quraan. Then he dreamt the Prophet Muhammed (saw) standing in front of him and saying that in one week seven thousand people died but not even one was a true Muslim. None did what Allah wanted. He also said now is a bad time. These days Wives dont look after their Husbands,Girls go round without being covered they do not respect parents or others,Rich do not look after the poor, they do not give gifts or money or do not give fulfil zakaat.he also said to Sheikh Ahmed make people understand to give zakaat,To do prayer and to keep fast. The day of judgement is near. When There is a single star in the sky, straight away the path of forgiveness will close. The writing in the Quraan will disappear (vanish). The Sun will lower itself with earth. The Prophet said whoever reads this news to someone else, " I WILL ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT MAKE HIM A PLACE IN PARADISE, AND IF SOMEONE DOES NOT BELIEVE THIS NEWS TO BE TRUE THEY WILL BE BANISHED FROM PARADISE" If a poor person gives out this news to other people his/her good wish will come true. Sheikh Ahmed said if this is not true then my death will be off a Non-Muslim.The Prophet said " KEEP FAST,DO PRAYERS,GIVE ZAKAAT AND GIVE KINDNESS TO THE POOR" Whoever Forwards This will get his/her reward in three days. One Person forward it to 40 people he had 8,000 thousand, take prophit in his buisness. One Person did not believe this news and his son died. One kept Saying he will forward it today, tomorrow but never forward this news he died as well.PLEASE DO NOT THINK THIS IS NOT TRUE. PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE!------------------------------------------ It's obvious respected brothers and sisters... That this Sheikh Ahmed is a fake. I don't believe a word he says.
