  1. Arabic Way To Say This Supplication?

    Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu! :sl:
  2. Reading Koran

Yeah I agree with you it isn't easy for me to understand it. But later you say that the meaning is quite obvious that the verse refers to hypocrites or disbelievers. Pardon me, it really was very hard to understand. Not sooooo obvious I'm afraid. Thanks Mr. abu hafs for the explanation. I'll think about it.
  3. Hiya all! I came across a hadith I liked. “O Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public.†(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 5919) Does anyone know how to say this in arabic language? I mean with transliteration? Thanks!
  4. Reading Koran

Hi everyone! I have started reading Koran but I got as far as second sura and stopped at these verses because I don't really have a clue what they mean. 17 Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness. So they could not see. 18 Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path). 19 Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: In it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: They press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death. But Allah is ever round the rejecters of Faith! 20 The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things. Can anybody explain this? Thanks!!!!!
  5. I am very happy to forgive you miss orthodox. That's the big difference between you and miss h-n. At least you say sorry and ask for forgiveness. She doesn't. Still I guess I could change my mind about her as well. Who knows she might say sorry too.
  6. I Love Death

Umm. I don't know if I like death. I realize how ignorant I am and there is a lot of learning I have to do. I wouldn't want to die before I learned anything!!
  7. “And insult not those whom they (disbelievers) worship besides Allaah, lest they insult Allaah wrongfully without knowledge…†[al-An’aam 6:108] Hey, miss orthodox. I think I owe you an apology. I'm sorry I said you and miss h-n are alike. I see from your recent posts that you are not like miss h-n. So I feel bad about what I said to you. I'm very sorry to say stuff like what I did. Can you forgive me? :sl:
  8. Who Is A Believer?

mr. younes, thank you very much for the time and effort you put into this. You are the only one who bothered to explain why you believe what you do. What you write has captured my interest. I like the stories of how people around the prophet became believers. But they saw the prophet themselves with their own eyes. He was among them so they had a distinct advantage. In our day, I suppose we do not have that advantage. But you have given other reasons why people believe and also why you believe. And you point to the quran for your reasons. I think that might mean I would have to start reading the quran. I will do that when I get the time. Once again mr. younes thanks for everything.
  9. Thanks for letting me know that I am entitled to my opinion. Nice to know that I can say what I like. And my opinion is you and miss h-n are alike. And also one more thing. I don't have time for this either. Thanks.
  10. Islam In Secular Society.

So I suppose the Muslim folks who live in America/Britain/Australia/India/China etc. are less religious. LOL.
  11. Seal Of The Prophets: What Does It Really Mean?

Thank you, miss Redeem. This was very informative. I didn't know this. I had heard about "Seal of the Prophets" before but never really understood it.....until now that is. This also makes a lotta sense! Is there any reliable site where I can get more information on prophet muhamad?
  12. Islam In Secular Society.

LOL you gotta be kidding. That's like saying it's better to be in the Middle East than the West because you will get to be more religious there. IMO being religious depends on the person not on the place.
  13. Just because I told miss h-n that she needs to mind her manners, it doesn't mean that I don't respect her. And if others have criticized miss h-n, that too doesn't mean that they don't respect her. I think I have ample reason to believe that the people who criticized her also had sincere intentions. They were very polite and nice with their criticism actually. IMO if you want others to respect you, then you gotta give them respect. And if you don't want others to criticize you, then you shouldn't criticize them. It's a simple, observable, universal law at work and you don't need to be a Muslim to know it. If miss h-n wants to say something to Muslims, who are her own people, she should address them with respect and use decent language. That's the only way that ANYONE is going to listen or pay heed. Respect has to be earned. Forgiveness need not be. IMO it depends entirely on the person who is injured or offended to forgive or not forgive, regardless of whether the offender "earned" his forgiveness or not.
  14. Mercy In Islam

Gosh! That means this man is lying! So I take it that this person is writing incorrect information, right? Wondering also one thing. If he is lying, he will still go to heaven because he is Muslim. So, no big deal if he lies. Unless of course he is not Muslim but writing about Islam and stuff and making us think he is Muslim.
  15. Mercy In Islam

Is this stuff about mercy that this author is saying true? Or is he mistaken? Aren't the people who follow the rules the only ones who will receive mercy? Interesting article, by the way. Thanks for posting it.
