  1. Praying For Non-muslims

This is what Jesus said: 21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?†22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[a] Matthew 18:21-22 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. -Mathhew 5:7 "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your hevenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive, you will also not be forgiven." Mattew 6:14-15 The article is representative of the author's own opinion and seems not to have anything to do with the coptic curch. It does not necessarily mean that the author's opinion is the correct opinion. I would still like the link to the Coptic Pope's comment... I don't think that would offend Christians, but sadden them...
  2. Polygamy

Polygamy was an exception (though not rare) with respect to the common marital practicies in post-exilic israel.[1] The practice also began to be criticized and declined during the intertestamental period.[2] By the New Testament period, there is some extant evidence of polygamy being practiced.[2][3] The Dead Sea Scrolls (DDS) show that several smaller sects within Judaism forbade polygamy before and during the time of Christ.[4][5][6] However, polygamy was not an uncommon practice in Jewish society during the intertestamental period. The Temple Scroll (11QT LVII 17–18), within the DDS library, also seems to prohibit polygamy from wikipedia Also, Jews officially abandoned polygamy in 1000 CE. Monogamy is also seen as God's desire for mankind since He created one man and one woman, and the "two became one flesh"....

Therefore, with that information and the verses I quoted, can you decide whether or not such a comment is consistent with Jesus' teaching? Just because he said something, doesn't mean that it's actually from the Bible.

Just because he said something, doesn't mean that it's actually from the Bible. Why don't you send us a link to his comment? There is no "Christian Pope" for the Christian masses, there is the Pope of the Coptic Church/Roman Church/Greek Orthodox Church... Review the verses I showed you. Also, Jesus showed compassion to non-Jews by healing them and raising them from the dead. Why can't you just answer my question without trying to compare the two religions? seems like a tit for tat... Same here, looking at the history...

The same rights, yet be subdued? Sorry for being cynical but I have to ask...
  6. Muslim Brotherhood Vows To Protect Churches

The Muslim Brotherhood has an opportunity to do a better job than Mubarak and the Arab league when it comes to protecting the rights of the ancient coptic christian community. They should denounce all forms of intolerence, terrorism and prevent attacks and prosecute attackers. They will change the society for the better if there is rule of law when it comes to the killing, forced conversion or rape of Copts.

[at]Nile Salafy, Your comment does not answer my question. I'm still confused. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:24 NIV They were pagan Romans and the Jews who rejected him.

I'm not sure how representative of Christianity that is. Jesus praid on the cross for the forgiveness of his murderers ( 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48 New International Version (NIV) The parable of the Good Samaritan teaches to love your neighbour as you love yourself - even if he is of a different race or religion...
  9. The Gospel Of Barnabas

The Epistle of Barnabas was rejected because it was not considered authentic. The Gospel of barnabas which contains what you claim was written by a Muslim after the conquest of Cordoba. They are not the same thing. The language is inconsistent with 1st century Jewish/Christian Hebrew/Greek writing. It also contains many errors - geographical, historical, that Barnabas would not have gotten wrong. It also claims that Jesus denied being the Messiah (which the Quran affirms) and claims Muhammad is the Messiah. It denounces polygamy which the Quran allows... It's a really bad fake, only ignorant people support it.

  11. Praying For Non-muslims

Well said! Muslim (976) narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother but He did not give me permission. And I asked Him for permission to visit her grave and He gave me permission.†"It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire." S. 9:113 I'm confused.
