  1. I Don't Want To Believe In Allah.

SubhanAllah Sister! the road may by hard or may get overwhelming, but remember nothing good in this like is easy. Welcome to the biggest family on Earth!
  2. Modern Islamic Miracles

It is obviously a personal one but the huge turning point for me which led me to embrace Islam was the part from my revert story when Allah, after 8 years of total seperation, brought my best friend back into my life just a few short months before she dropped dead (Which not even the doctors could have predicted) so we could make our peace and find love for each other again. I know deep down that if she had died without us making our peace, I would have just faded away in this life, not comitted suicide but I would have lost the will to life and just, faded away. SubhanAllah, la ilaha ila Allah.

I am pretty sure that you can get vegitarian Jello too Sister :) a lot of food nowadays tend to not use boiled bones for setting agents as it means they have a smaller customer base.
  4. I Don't Want To Believe In Allah.

I can understand how you feel, when we have been brought up in the West we get used to thinking that we should be able to do whatever we want, whenever we want. When we are told we cannot, we throw our toys around like spoilt children. I am sure other will be able to put down in words more eloquent sayings and provide extensive quotes but try to think of the things you want to do and the base reality of them. -Boyfriend: Intercourse at it's lowest level is a pleasurable activity, but in the West we use it for just that and nothing else. Children are normally an accident or an unwanted by-product. Couples split up over these accidents or stay together because they feel they have no choice. In Islam intercourse is an act that shows your love for the other person and your desire to create something beautiful from this. The pleasurable feelings are a by product, if they did not exist it wouldn't change a thing. How many people do you think would want boyfriends or one night stands in the west if intercourse was not pleasurable or even hurt? -Weed: I understand, people want to relax and forget about stress. But what are the causes of those stressful things? They hate their job, have financial worries, are depressed, lonely, bored and want to escape from reality. In Islam everything you do is to honour Allah and the gifts he has bestowed upon you. Things can be hard but you are are not chasing money because you want to buy the latest iPhone or buy a faster car or bigger house. You work to provide for your family, and your family does not care for the latest phone or a bigger house. You are not allowed debt, you are never alone and you join the biggest family on Earth. You do not need to escape anything if you embrace Islam because whatever is in your life has been planned by Allah, there is no need to reject his plans. One other thing is the damage. People reject this but deep down anyone who has known people who smoke weed knows the truth. Some people are seemingly able to smoke it and be fine but everyone knows that some people it effects vastly differently. For some people, slowly or very quickly, weed turns them into mindless (and please forgive me, I do nto use these words lightly) morons. They burn out their brains and become zombies, unable to speak properly never mind perform anything beyond meaningless tasks. I have seen perople who went to university to become doctors and within a year of smoking weed three to four times a week, they become burnt out shells, they could not even string together simple sentences. This does not happen to everyone but is it worth taking the chance? Would you undergo a lobotomy if it made you not care about anything anymore? That is the roll of the dice you take. -Pork: I used to enjoy eating this too but When I read the Quran and found out that Allah told us not to, I stopped. There are lots of reasons the main one simply being because it is Allah's wish. But also sensible ones, pigs will eat anything, dead animals, dead pigs, dead people, feces, anything. Would you want to eat an animal that eats these things? You are eating those things by eating a pig. Also think of this, when a human is tragically burnt, the smell is the same as pork. A house on fire will smell the same if there are pigs inside or humans. Maybe there is a reason for this do you think? No other animal on the planet smells like human flesh when cooked. -Dress: People always say nowadays why are there no gentlemen or ladies? Why are most girls 'easy' and most guys 'players'? I can tell you where they are, they are in Islam! Would you rather spend your life with someone who wants you for your looks or your soul? What happens when age takes it's toll on your body? The person who fell in love with you outside is surely free and blameless to leave you and go find a younger person if we judge suitability for marriage on looks, right? In Islam we value modesty and reject those who only care for looks. If someone wishes to life with you and protect you not based on your looks but because of who you are, surely the only way to do that is by hiding your looks? There is nothing more attractive to a real man than a strong woman who values her modesty and who will not show off her nakedness. Think what tight clothing's purpose is. It is to show off the naked body without showing the skin, you might aswell show the skin as nothing is left for the imagination. Your outer beauty is a gift from Allah, surely you only would want to share that gift with someonw who believes in Allah also?
  5. Walaikum Asalaam, I would assume taking anything that does not belong to you. Be it a grain of rice or a whole nation.
  6. Of course, Imam Mahdi and Isa (may Allah's peace be upon him)will bring it about InshAllah.
  7. Aisha And Muhammad

Please don't confuse western marriage with marriage in Islam. Marriage in Islam is not based on sex and looks, or earthly pleasures. It is based around helping each other reach heaven . Allah only lends men our wives and we are entrusted to preserve them and enhance their qualities until he takes them back. Additionally, no western person can stand and point fingers when in the 1400s, kings would marry girls of any age for politican and other earthly gains. This happened right up to very recently and had expanded to anyone with material wealth wishing to expand their power. It is also important to note that in Islamic law Age of marriage in Islam for a woman is based on two factors: 1)Physical maturity (at a minimum, has started menstruation) 2)Mental/psychological maturity - this depends from woman to woman and from society to society ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A quote: The Age of consent for girls in America before the 19th century was as low as 10! (I wonder what it would've been if America existed at the time of Prophet Mohammad 1400 hundred years ago?!) and these same Americans criticize the prophet of Islam for marrying a 9 year old girl 1400 hundred years ago while in their own country NOT 1400 years ago but ONLY 100 years ago the age of consent for girls was as low as 10, hilarious indeed. “In the late nineteenth century,"Age of consent" referred to the legal age at which a girl could consent to sexual relations. Men who engaged in sexual relations with girls who had not reached the age of consent could be criminally prosecuted. American reformers were shocked to discover that the laws of most states set the age of consent at the age of ten or twelve, and in one state, Delaware, the age of consent was only seven.” http://womhist.binghamton.edu/teacher/aoc.htm conclusion: All I see here is double standard and hypocrisy from the Americans who criticize the prophet of Islam. AGE OF CONSENT IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD: Age of consent in England: “The age of consent for heterosexual acts was set at 12 in 1275 and remained so for six centuries until the end of the 1800s.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Europe#The_United_Kingdom_of_Great_Britain_and_Northern_Ireland “The age of consent in Spain is 13, as specified by the Spanish Penal Code, Articles 181(2) and 183.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Europe#Spain “The National age of consent in Japan is 13 for both males and females, as specified by the Japanese Penal Code Articles 176 and 177.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Asia#Japan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, while you say to us be respectful please take a moment to think of the stance you are here to defend and how offensive is it to us. Using the relevant forum for this type of accusation would be better for those of us who do not wish to read these types of lies. I assume that before investigating these accusations of another's religion, you have thoroughly investigated the ones in your own? No 1400 years ago but the present abuse of boys as young as four by Priests, and the cover up by the church from the local members right up to the vatican? Before you criticise another's home, make sure your own house is in order first.
  8. As-Salaamo Alaikum

Asalaamu Akaikum Sister :) welcome to the site!
  9. I think the most important verses for me were these: And those who, when gross injustice befalls them, they seek justice. The recompense for a crime shall be its equivalence, but whoever forgives and makes right, then his reward is upon God. He does not like the wrongdoers. [42:40] The male thief, and the female thief, you shall mark, cut, or cut-off their hands/means as a recompense for what they earned, and to serve as a deterrent from God. God is Noble, Wise. Whoever repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, then God will relent on him. Truly, God is Forgiving, Merciful. [5:38-39] and other such like them. The message to me was very clear, you can cut off the hand of a theif (as well with other punishments stated in the Quran) but if you forgive them, it is best for you. It is far easier to swing a sword than to truly forgive someone.
  10. Question For Christians?

I feel I must also say that I love and admire Jesus peace be upon him, but my personal opinion is that a great, unforgivable evil was done by certain people to use the power that Allah gifted to the world with the prophet Isa peace be upon him for their own means. It discredits both the prophet Isa peace be upon him and allmighty Allah. Christians have a taste of the true religion and I hope that in time they all see that terrible trickery that people in the past comitted to manipulate one of the most beautiful gifts that Allah gave to us, and return to our family inshahAllah
  11. Question For Christians?

So Jesus is appealing to a power higher than himself? eg why did Jesus pray to God and humbly admit to not knowing things that only his Father knew? (Matthew 24:36)
  12. Interesting point, but how does it cause someone to stumble if the Pope chooses to do something which makes him look like he has no faith? Surely by riding in a bullet proof car he causes Christians to stumble?
  13. It is the posts by nascido da luz He points out the mistakes in translations and meanings behind the words that the Church has used by accident or on purpose to suit their own agenda. His knowledge of ancient latin is very impressive, it takes a while to follow the whole debate but it is truly worth it, it may be hard ot follow if English is nto your first language though.
  14. Dua In English?

I started in English as like you mentioned I felt a connection with Allah in my own language and wanted to preserve that, I am now praying with Arabic but making dua in English. It took me a long time to realise but prayer in Islam is not how we see it in the west, please someone correct me if I am wrong but as I udnerstand it: -Prayer is an act that you perform for Allah, to show Him your faith and comittment to him. -Dua is when you ask for something. In Christianity, a prayer is you asking for something. So I think of Prayer as an action to show my devotion and love to Allah. For example if you did a marathon to raise money for a charity, in terms of Islam it could be said that you are performing a prayer for that charity. If that makes sense? I struggling at the start as I had this mixed up adn felt that praying in Arabic had made me loose me connection with Allah, but in reality I had not, I keep my connection/feeling of communitcation with Allah with Dua, and show him I love him and submit to him by performing prayer :)
  15. Should My Name Be Changed?

I don't think it has any connotations that are unislamic. Please if anyone could provide a different opinion on this? You are Allah's gift to your parents, to a future wife, future children or just someone you smile at in the street.
