1. Frozen Cherry Tree

:sl: How's that a disaster. I thought the cherries were naturally preserved like that over the winter, so that people could enjoy them in summer. :sl:
2. Canada Apologizes, Pays Arar For Syrian Ordeal

:sl: He must have had to spend a lot behind lawyers. :sl:
3. Frozen Cherry Tree

4. Arrogant People, And Hypocrites Of Islam

:sl: If I understood you correctly as to who you are referring to, then I don't see how someone could call that bad. They are there to invite/remind you, not to enter your home. They are knocking on your door not to come in, so it's not like they are showing up at someone's house without invitation. Just thought I could clarify that for everyone. :j: :sl:
5. Family Honour

:sl: 4 witnesses are required for hadd punishment. If there are other evidence, like reliable medical test, etc, then the judge can carry out ta'zir punishment. If the committer of the crime confesses, then the hadd punishment applies. :sl:
6. Family Honour

:sl: ..medical test..the girl conceiving before marriage...etc.
7. Family Honour

:sl: It's not just in the arab culture. Does anyone notice a possible loop hole here? Brother kills sister with the instruction of parents > parents forgive the son > no legal case, son is free. This falls under the category of homicide in Islamic law, where there are two options to the punishment. :sl:
8. School Pic

:sl: How do brothers locate their wives in a big Islamic gathering? Also, how does it work out during hajj? Are women required to observe niqab during hajj? :sl:
9. Brilliant Site For Quran Learning

:sl: :j: :sl:
10. Day Of Judgement

:sl: I asked the same question to our local imam once. He said sins that you have repented for, and been forgiven, they won't be mentioned on the day of judgment. And Allah knows best. :sl:
11. Internet Arguments..

:sl: No no sister. I found the pic on the internet. I also don't know who they are in my icon, but using it as it's very endearing. :sl:
12. Socks In Prayer

:j: The details are (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_albalagh(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/qa/masah_regular_socks.shtml"]here sister. I read there is an opinion in the Hanbali madhhab that permits wiping over cotton socks; but the other three schools have a stricter position on this because of the ayah of the Qur'an. The (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_albalagh(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/qa/masah_regular_socks.shtml"]article should clear it up, :). And Allah knows best. :)
13. Tasbeeh

:sl: If one feels uncomfortable using prayer beads, then doesn't have to. But i think if one finds it beneficial to use, then he shouldn't be condemned either, since many great fuqaha of the salaf have confirmed its permissibility. The greatest hadith experts, including giants like Imam al-Nawawi, Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, Imam Badr al-Din al-`Ayni, and others all explicitly permitted the use of prayer beads. Allahu A'lam. :sl:
14. Socks In Prayer

:sl: Socks are of course allowed, but not sure whether bare feet is preferred. :sl:
