  1. Salaam Brothers and sisters, many of us know Yank and would remember his attitude towards mujahideens in Iraq, Afghanistan, with words terrorists and such never leaving his mouth. He would spend decades simply justifying each and every action of Foreign governments against muslims, especially his own, the US. This is an "you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_www.google(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/search?q=Islamic+forum&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official"]islamic forum[/url], how can we tolerate a person who calls muslims with such names and is steadfast in justifying kufr and fassaad on earth. May be the number of attacked and blown up tanks would knock some sense, one can well imagine what the unarmoured humvees and bradely's would be suffering from the following article. Paradrop indeed comes as a surprise but it seems as a desparate measure. Previously when cities of latifiyah, fallujah, ramadi, samaara and hit kicked them out they used helicopters to take over some of the tall buildings positioning snipers on them. In that process they lost quite a number of men and helicopters. Given that the city of al-waim is just a kilometer from syrian border and larger in size than towns of fallujah and ramadi, they might have been forced to take drastic measures, or maybe it is a trick to draw resistance forces from the front line or maybe a trick to find the surface to air gun emplacements of the resistance. Soviets used this trick in one of their final battles in afghanistan in Sarondoy pass by attaching dummies with parachutes. As for the number of casualties, may be a look at soviet casualties in afghan war will open your eyes. Officially they had 22,000 killed but the number of injured in their 8 years of occupation were 450,000 about seventy percent of their personnels who served in afghanistan. Many suffered from diseases and many suffered from injuries. They also had approximately 100,000 soldiers at a given time. Just divide that number with the number of days and you will find some answers. In afghanistan soviets were supported by a good 100,000 afghan army, in this case occupation forces are hardly able to assemble a brigade before it is blown apart. In Iraq the command and control structure of much of the former Iraqi institutions are intact, unlike afghanistan there aren't any supply lines to attack by the occupation forces while weapons are in plenty, enough for a decade of warfare ,atleast. Combine all these facts, then you will get the idea of the casualties being suffered. Casualties are not hard to hide, soviets have showed that and even soviet citizens are shocked when these numbers are revealed.

Tuesday, 19 April 2005. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. Fighting continues in al-Qa’im after US airborne landing inside city. In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Qa’im that, as was earlier reported, the US aggressors staged an airborne assault on the city Monday during which some 700 American troops parachuted into the city. The Americans were able to seize control over central districts of al-Qa’im and they opened the way for US forces on the outskirts of the city to come in. Intermittent battles continued in al-Qa’im at the time of reporting, breaking out and raging every hour or so, as the Resistance engages US troops coming in from all four directions and in the central parts of the city. Witnesses in al-Qa’im reported that 13 Americans had been killed this day, among them the four US soldiers who had been taken prisoner last week, one of whom was a major. US aggressor troops found their beheaded bodies on the banks of the Euphrates. A captain in a puppet force called the “Force in Support of the American Forces,†told Mafkarat al-Islam about that discovery. The captain also confirmed a report that nine US Marines were killed and still others wounded in a Resistance bomb attack on a US foot patrol in the northeast of al-Qa’im at 6am Tuesday morning. 18th april Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. US stages airborne invasion of al-Qa’im. In a dispatch posted at 10:15am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US aggressor troops staged an air drop of more than 700 American invaders into the middle of the liberated city of al-Qa’im a short while before. The correspondent quoted witnesses as saying that the skies of the city were covered with parachutes carrying US Marines. The American invaders succeeded in seizing control of a number of tall buildings under US helicopter cover, (thereby securing perches for American snipers to work to paralyze movement within the city) and the American invaders were at the time of reporting attacking the northern areas of the city. Sunday, 17 April 2005. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. US withdraws forces from environs of al-Qa’im. In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Sunday morning Mecca time, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that after failing to take the city of al-Qa’im on the border of Syria by storm in bloody battles during the week, large US forces have been pulling out of the area around the city since dawn on Sunday. The withdrawals were still under way at the time the correspondent compiled his report. The correspondent said that so far Sunday morning, four columns of US forces left the outskirts of the city under cover of numerous fighter planes and helicopter gunships. The columns headed towards the city of al-Hadithah also in western Iraq, but east of al-Qa’im. The correspondent reported that US forces agreed to some of the terms contained in the Resistance demands issued earlier in the week after the failed American offensive. They rejected other demands, however, and it is believed that the withdrawal from the city area today came as a result of the US agreement to one of the Resistance conditions, namely the withdrawal of US forces away from the environs of the city to at least 6 kilometers away. Satrurday, 16 March 2005. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. Massive puppet “national guard†column heads west in direction of al-Qa’im. A very large column of Iraqi puppet so-called “national guard†forces was seen heading towards western Iraq on Saturday sparking speculation as to its destination. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the column, which was “very large†set out at about 1pm local time Saturday and headed along the highway towards the west. It had protection from US military forces. It was said that the column was heading towards the western Iraqi towns of ‘Anah or Rawah – towns near each other and about halfway between al-Hadithah and al-Qa’im on the Syrian border. Witnesses said that the column stretched the distance from the as-Saqlawiyah bridge to near the city of al-Fallujah, or about eight kilometers in length. In the column were troop transport vehicles full of puppet troops. It is noteworthy that US forces failed to re-take the liberated city of al-Qa’im in heavy fighting on Wednesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam suggested that the ultimate destination of the Iraqi column might be the environs of the defiant city of al-Qa’im. Friday, 15 April 2005. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. Resistance blasts US lines around al-Qa’im. In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Friday Mecca time Mafkarat al-Islam reported that for the second day in a row, Iraqi Resistance forces mounted mortar barrages on the positions of American troops surrounding the besieged, defiant city. Resistance fighters fired 53 heavy 120mm mortar rounds in concentrated barrages at 10am Friday morning local time into concentrations of American troops and groups of US vehicles. The Resistance apparently wishes to prevent the Americans from strengthening their positions for renewed fighting. The bombardment set several fires blazing that charred a number of US vehicles and killed a number of US troops. The Resistance renewed its threats to execute the four US prisoners it captured two days ago, one of them an officer with the rank of major, if US forces do not pull back from around the city by the time of the afternoon prayers. The Mufti (Islamic jurisconsult) of the city announced that Friday congregational prayers today would be held on the edges of the city. He prohibited any armed men from going to Masjids for the prayers. Residents of the city who witnessed the attack from the roofs of their houses told Mafkarat al-Islam that US helicopters raced to the area to evacuate American dead and wounded and start work to put out the fires that were still burning at the time of reporting. ......The Resistance on Thursday blasted concentrations of US troops outside the city with 32 various types of rockets – Katyusha, Grad, powerful Tariq missiles, and heavy motar rounds. The bombardment scattered the Americans’ lines to the north and east of al-Qa’im. Meanwhile, a meeting of the Resistance in the city produced an agreement on a set of proposals that they would offer to the Americans as the basis of negotiations – in answer to the US call for talks made early in the morning. The Resistance agreed to hold talks with the Americans but on the basis of specific preconditions, namely: US forces must withdraw six kilometers from the boundaries of al-Qa’im during the talks, US fighter planes must stop overflights above the city, The US must acknowledge the number of their men who were killed in the battles on Wednesday and Tuesday over all the radio stations, The US must allow humanitarian organizations to bring food and medical supplies in to the residents of the city. The correspondent reported that US forces had not responded to the demands of the Resistance as of the time that he filed his report. The city of al-Qa’im, therefore, remained in a state of relative calm – calm like a time bomb – as he put it, ready to explode whenever the Marines and Commandos decide to repeat their attack on the city. Residents of the city expect that Resistance forces will take the initiative and attack concentrations of US troops before the latter attack al-Qa’im again. Thursday, 14 April 2005. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Q’aim. In a dispatch posted at 9:55am Thursday morning Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that after failing on Wednesday night to storm the besieged city of al-Qa’im from four directions, US forces used loudspeakers on Thursday morning to demand tribal chiefs and some notables of the city to open negotiations with them at noon about the situation in the city. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that the Resistance called the tribal chiefs and notables to a meeting to discuss the American request. Resistance sets conditions for talks with US over al-Qa’im as America admits it failed to take the city Wednesday night. In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Thursday night, Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Qa’im that the US military recognized that it had failed on Wednesday to take the liberated city by storm. The American failure came despite a grueling day of fighting, first in the morning hours and then for three hours in the evening as American troops, 400 tanks, artillery, helicopters, and warplanes blasted and assaulted the city from four directions at once. The Resistance held out and repulsed the sweeping American assault of Marines and Commandos and in the end the US forces retreated beyond the limits of the city environs. On Thursday Mafkarat al-Islam quoted a US major who said his name was “Steve Allen†of the Marines who said that they had not been able to take the city the night before due to the defiance and ferocity of the Resistance – whom he referred to as “gunmen†– and their determination in the fight. The American officer said that the US pulled its forces back “in the interests of the Iraqi civilians,†although no such humanitarian considerations entered Americans’ heads when they blew up the city’s water and food supply and when American snipers shot dead women and children trying to get water from the Euphrates River.....

.......The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Qa’im met with Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir one of the Resistance commanders who also played a major role in the fighting in al-Fallujah and ar-Ramadi. Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir told the correspondent, “We are hotter than coals for this battle, because we have prepared well for them [the occupation troops] doing whatever is necessary. Whatever we needed to do we have done, so everything now is up to God. He has in His hands victory, and He has in His hands martyrdom. Each one is sweeter than the other, and God is the bringer of success.†Meanwhile, as is usual for them, the Americans resorted to their usual dirty warfare tactics, having cut off the water and electricity from the city and blockaded al-Qa’im so that no food in any form can get in, and after bombing the storage vats of drinking water, the Americans have posted snipers on the other side of the Euphrates who shoot dead anyone who approaches the river to try to get water. As night falls Wednesday, Resistance holds firm, but city prepares for bloody fighting with American columns posed to attack. In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Qa’im that as night fell Resistance forces were still in control of the areas on the eastern approaches to the city that they won back from retreating Americans in the early hours of Wednesday morning having rained heavy blows on the invaders. The nearby village of ar-Rummanah was also continuing to hold out against American attacks for the second day, despite the diminutive size of the settlement – a mere six square kilometers. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Qa’im reported that the Americans were massing their forces at that moment on the northern approaches to the city. More than 300 various US military vehicles were drawn up there, as US helicopter gun ships and figher planes prowled the sky overhead. The Americans area apparently awaiting the order to attack the Iraqi Resistance in the free city of al-Qa’im. The Resistance fighters, for their part, have begun to prepare for the awaited battle by digging trenches and furrows in the ground, storing up water, and some fruits that do not rot quickly, in expectation of a long fight, the duration of which is known only to God......

Head of al-Qa’im Hospital: US using internationally prohibited weapons in attacks on city. In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Mecca time Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Director of al-Qa’im Hospital, Dr. ‘Abd ar-Rahman Muhammad, a short while earlier had announced that US forces used internationally prohibited weapons in their attacks on al-Qa’im Wednesday morning. Dr. Muhammad told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Americans drooped 40 container bombs loaded with cluster bombs and more than 30 incendiary bombs, in addition to releasing very large amounts of a narcotic gas affecting the nervous system, and paralyzing the fighters. Besides that, Dr. Muhammad said, the US also used mustard gas. Dr. Muhammad said that he wished to expose what he called the “dirty†methods of the US forces, warning of the humanitarian consequences if the Americans continue on their present course. On Tuesday US aircraft destroyed the city’s drinking water tanks and blew up food storage lockers for the people of al-Qa’im. Dr. Muhammad warned that more than 25,000 women, children, and elderly people would die of starvation if the situation continues unchanged. Dr. Muhammad called on Arab and Muslim countries to put a stop to the American practices, to intervene as quickly as possible. He declared that he had no hope that the Iraqi puppet regime would intervene, saying that it was the regime that “gave the blind knife to the American forces so they could butcher Iraqis.â€Â

US forces pushed back from positions east of al-Qa’im. In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces had withdrawn from the areas that they had seized control of to the east of al-Qa’im after vicious fighting. The US military acknowledged their withdrawal in a statement issued shortly before the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent filed his report. Mafkarat al-Islam reported a US general as saying that American commandos and Marines had withdrawn from eastern parts of al-Qa’im after a battle that lasted four hours in which, the American general said, the US side lost “many of our soldiers.†The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had completely redeployed in those areas on the eastern side of al-Qa’im. The Iraqi Resistance announced for its part that 30 Resistance fighters had been martyred during the fighting that has raged since the day before yesterday (i.e., since Monday, 11 April 2005.) The Resistance statement said that 12 of the martyred fighters were fraternal Arab volunteers from the Arabian Peninsula, Syria, and Egypt. Al-Anbar Province. Al-Qa’im. Extremely fierce fighting in al-Qa’im as US troops attack from all sides of city and US warplanes pound free al-Qa’im from the air. In a dispatch posted at 9:35am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that for the third straight day extremely violent fighting was raging in the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria. Iraqi Resistance fighters were battling groups of American commandos and Marines on the western, eastern, northern, and southern approaches to the city that liberated itself from the American occupation last week. The US occupation troops crossed the administrative boundaries of al-Qa’im, 3km from the city, after mounting intensive air raids in which US F16 and F18 warplanes dropped bombs and fired rockets into the city. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the Iraqi puppet forces as saying that the Resistance had shot down two US Apache helicopters at dawn Wednesday morning, prompting US ground forces to beat a retreat and send in fighter bomber aircraft instead. A spokesman for the Iraqi puppet forces admitted that 36 US vehicles were totally destroyed in the dawn battles on Wednesday and during Tuesday-Wednesday night. The smoldering wreckage of those vehicles still can be seen on the outskirts of al-Qa’im. The puppet spokesman also acknowledged that 71 US troops have been killed in the American attack on the city.
