There should be nothing wrong with it as long as you are not asking him to leave Islam. So everything should be fine and he should not listen to them in that matter, not all muslim wives support their muslim husband by the way, and they should know that.

Maybe I didn't explain it well. To make it direct and short, the Egyptian army takes Aid from the US, and israel is a very important ally to the US. Do you think they wont interfere in every aspect in Egypt so that we wont be threat to them in the future ? And I don't believe they would be going out in the media announcing that they want Egypt to stay in a bad economical situation like we are in for years now. If it doesn't make sense to you, I don't think I can explain it more, sorry.

In 1973 war, it was the surprise that got us ahead at the beginning, we wouldn't have a chance if we kept going on, we didn't go deep into Sinai. Did we use American weapons then or was it Russian ? when did the US Aid start to the Egyptian army ? for the killings that was made by the Egyptian army recently, did they bring any proof to support the reason they just opened fire and kill civilians that way? I only hear rumors like you mention about gangs and all that stuff, but I didn't see any proof that there was weapons used by the protestors that would allow the army to kill 80+ innocent unarmed civilians, or is throwing stones at the army considered weapons ? Just like Palestinians and israeli army I am sure. They both funded by the US. Army showed a silly video, it was a waist of time watching it, but still I didn't see anything that would make the army shoot to kill that number of humans !! And what about the other killings that was made by the army before, Maspero for example.

How would an army that takes aid from the US fight israel ? I am sure if anyone who wants to fight israel the Egyptian army would shoot him dead before he steps one step there. Millions are paid to the Egyptian army, and he is really loyal to the people who pay. A few days back, the Egyptian army killed over 80 Egyptian citizen.
