Quran Question

:D

" The Book" was never tampered with because it was never put together during the Prophet Jesus' (AS) lifetime anyhow. It was put together by his Disciples, people who just knew him, traditionalists, folk-tellers, etc. (The bible that you read now). Ever since then, different "versions" come to pass every now and then, offering different interpretations and insights. For example, each of the creation stories has a different emphasis, one on the physical universe and one on the pre-eminence of mankind

This is a huge thing to uncover, where each and every part of the Bible began and who narrated it.

It is a complicated story, with four different texts by four different authors (although some think "schools" of authors might be responsible for each text rather than a single author). These were later combined by an editor, called the Redactor. The Redactor sometimes put the different authors' stories one after the other (as with the creation stories) and sometimes interwove them (as with the two stories of Noah's Flood and of Joseph's mistreatment by his brothers). The Redactor also added comments like "Now it came to pass, after these things . . ." as a transition between sections.

Scholars differ on when the various authors wrote and when the Redaction occurred. No one today knows who the initial authors were--the predominant view is that many of the stories were handed down orally for generations before being written down. It's not clear which texts are older (although the Song at the Sea in Exodus 15:1-8 is usually acknowledged as among the oldest verses), or which author wrote which verses. Nor is there agreement on the gender of the authors. Some scholars believe the J-writer was a woman, as described in The Book of J by David Rosenberg and Harold Bloom (1990).

according to the words of every single prophet in the Bible: the Word of God cannot be corrupte. Gods love and mercy was expressed in Him sending His Son Jesus to take due punishment upon

his so mercyful yet lets his "son" get stabbed when he didnt deserve it lol.

you cannot prove the itegrity of the bible by saying the word of god is cannot be curropted according to the prophets mentioned in the bible. this is by no means a proof.

the mere fact that todays bible refering to the kings james is written from a tranalstion and not from the orginal further suggests that it is not authentic.

if i am correct jesus himself was not aware of the bible being made, therfore he did not authorise it.

Dear Redemed

You keep replying to very old topics. Please realize that such topics were started by members that hardly visit here anymore. This is how forums work, old members get busy elsewhere in life, while new members join and supply us with new energy. Its not practical then to reply to very old posts, since probably none of the old participants will reply back, or even see your post here.

Plus, your replies make old topics jump to the top of recent posts. These old dates showing on top doesn't give us the best image when new users visit here to browse our forum.

If  an old topic had a subject that you find interesting, its better if you start a new topic with that subject. You can quote the post of interest from here into your topic as a starter. This way, you will get fresh responses and reactions from current members.

We should have closed old topics, and we did, but due to tech reasons we had to re-open them.

Please help us better organize our forum. Thanks.

I am not sure I understand how this forum works yet and I don't know what you mean

In simple words: please do not reply to old posts made more than a year ago.
