How can an average person get to the highest paradise? Or is the highest paradise only for prophets and scholars and martyrs?

By Allah's will, ANYBODY can enter Jannatul Firdaus.

Jannatul Firdaus is so huge that all the martyrs and scholars will not fill all of it.

Tahujjud, isn't that the night prayer? So if you pray that regularly then you can get Jannatul Firdaus?

Let us not get into confusion.

Will many attain Jenatul-Firdaus?

There are 100 levels in Paradise and Jenatul-Firdaus are of the Higher Levels of Paradise. Muslims who end up in the Fire of Hell and who are saved afterwards, will be granted the lower levels of Paradise.

Are only the Prophets, Companions, the Salaf, Martyrs and Scholars the only ones who attain Jenatul-Firdaus?

No. To attain such a level you must be loved by Allah. You must accept Qadr and be content with whatever good or bad happens to you. You must not judge others in cruel ways and you must speak words of kindness towards all your Brothers and Sisters and avoid Al-Ghiba.

One must carry out extra acts of worship as these actions lead you closer to Allah.

Some actions that lead to Allah loving you are secret Charity in ways "the left hand does not know what the right hand gives", Tahujjud, reciting Quran with tears in the eyes, crying to Allah for forgiveness in the deep parts of the night, fasting optionally, having extreme love towards Allah and his Messenger :D, feeling bad when committing a sin and then making Tawbah to Allah, Thikr openly and secretly and always having Allah on your mind, constant Du'a, loving and caring for your parents for the sake of Allah etc.

EDIT: One must make sure that such acts are not Bid'ah and must comply to the Quran and Sunnah. Also we must avoid all forms of Shirk that includes speaking to the dead, worshipping at Graves etc.

Is it true that if I have many sins I can never attain Jenatul-Firdaus?

No. We all make mistakes, which is why we must constantly make Tawbah to Allah. It is the extra acts of worship done secretly that is best. If parts of this worship are done openly then one must prevent any forms of showing-off. Remember to try and gain the love of Allah. Carry out extra acts of worship to compensate for the sins that you have made. Never forget Tawbah and Thikr. And most of all, try your best to cry to Allah when alone, as such an act brings you instantly to His love and mercy.

Will every Muslim enter Paradise?

No. Only those who die with Iman will enter Paradise. None of us knows who dies with Iman. Just because one says they are Muslim cannot guarantee that they will die with Iman. Many Muslims will be thrown into the Hell-Fire, and those with Iman will be taken out after the prescribed punishment.

We are told that Hell will be full and Paradise will be few.

What do you mean how wrong can I be? Are you trying to mess with the word of Allah?

By anybody, I meant any muslim. If Allah wills, ANYTHING can happen. If Allah wants, he can bring all of us to Jannatul Firdaus

Akhie. We must not be concerned in how many people are going to Paradise, but be concerned whether we are going to Paradise or not. Yes, it is true that Allah can send everyone to Al-Firdaus, but we believe the words of Muhammad :D and the words of Allah through Quran. Since we are told that Hell will be full and Paradise will be few, the answer is already given to us.

We must strive hard and not underestimate the punishment of Allah. May Allah guide us all to Al-Firdaus.

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu

The number of the Believers compared to the number of the disbelievers and hypocrites are like a black hair on the skin of a white ox, or a while hair on the skin of the black sheep. Believers compared to Non-Believers are few. This does not mean that believers are not alot.

The Ummah of Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wassallam, will be the greatest Ummah on the Day of Judgment and Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam, will have the most followers. The next Ummah in numbers will be the Ummah of Musa aleihi salam, the children of Isra'eel. There will be prophets who have only one follower or even none.

The gates of Paradise are described in the Sunnah as very huge. If you walked from one side of the gate to the other side then it would take you 40 years. And there are eight gates to Jannah. And a time will come when they are going to be crowded.

We know from hadeeth about who will enter Paradise first:

1. The first person who will enter Paradise will be Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam. The gatekeepers of Paradise will not open the gate accept for Muhammad sallallahu aleihi wassallam. Muhammad will be in Jannatal-Firdaus but in the pinnacle of Jannah which we call Al-Waseela.

2. After Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wassallam, all the prophets and messengers will enter Paradise and they will go to their property in Paradise and meet their wives.

3. After the anbiya, the first non-prophet who will enter Jannah will be As-Sadeeq AbuBakr radhiallahu anhu. Umar ibn Khattab will follow him.

4. Then 70000 who by pass the reckoning on the day of judgment will be the next who enter Paradise. They are the ones who trust in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in everything.

5. Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wassallam, helped us out by making du'aa to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to increase the number who bypass the hisab and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala granted him that: this means that for every person of the 70000, 70000 Muslims will enter Jannah. This would be 70000 * 70000 = 490000000 they enter after the 70000 without reckoning. The difference I guess is that the first 70000 will not have any punishment at all. The next 490000 might not be free from punishment.

6. Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wassallam, interceded once more and Allah accepted more. After the 490000 believers Three Handfull will enter Paradise. I don't know how much it is but is sound a lot.

7. The next group will be the poor among the muhajireen/mujahideen. Numbers are not mentioned. Must be alot.

8. The next group will be the rich among the muhajireen/muhajideen.

9. The martyrs, children who died at young age will enter Paradise already before the Day of Judgment starts. I am not sure if the Murabat, those who are posted to an army post guarding the cities etc., also enter Paradise already before the day of account.

These are the people mentioned in the Sunnah but you see that they seem to be alot already. There will be Muslims from this Ummah who will go to Paradise after the Muhajireen. The people of hellfire among the believers will also enter Paradise and they seem to be alot. They are the ones who believed in La Ilaha Illallah, Muhammad dar Rasulullah and they prayed!

When the Ummah of Muhammad is in Jannah then the next Ummah will enter Jannah, the children of Isra'eel. Musa aleihi salam will also have a huge following but nothing compared to the Ummah of Muhammad.

After that the othre Ummam will enter.

The timing of entering Jannah does not determine the rank in hellfire. Some who enter Paradise late might be in a higher rank than a person who entered it earlier. The timing and the level of Paradise are different issues.

I think when we write about afterlife we should do it with care, because to much fear can lead to despair and too much hope can lead to indifference. We should try to present both the parts that make us hope and the parts that increase fear. We should try to balance fear and hope, even in our answers. The balance of fear and hope can lead us to Taqwa and Iman and Love.

Salam

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu

Sahah Bukhari - Volume 9, Book 93, Number 519:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "Whoever believes in Allah and His Apostle offers prayers perfectly and fasts (the month of) Ramadan then it is incumbent upon Allah to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allah's cause or stays in the land where he was born." They (the companions of the Prophet) said, "O Allah's Apostle! Should we not inform the people of that?" He said, "There are one-hundred degrees in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who carry on Jihad in His Cause. The distance between every two degrees is like the distance between the sky and the Earth, so if you ask Allah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaus, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise."

As-salam-alaikum,

For me, your target should not be to achieve Jannat al Firdaus.

Your target should be to make Allah happy.

Then everything is at your feet.

Jazakallah Khair.

Salam

To be save on the day of judgment and to gain Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, pleasure and that He is not annoyed with us is all what counts.

If we care for the orphans and the sick and visit the dying or feed the hungry then we can become neighbours of Rasulullah sallallahu aleihi wassallam.
