Scores killed in Jordan hotel blasts

Thursday 10 November 2005, 10:47 Makka Time, 7:47 GMT

At least 57 people have died in near simultaneous explosions at three hotels in Amman, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muashir said on state television.

Up to 200 people are also reported to have been injured in the blasts, which occurred at the Radisson SAS, Grand Hyatt and Days Inn hotels on Wednesday in the Jordanian capital.

Muashir said most of those killed were Jordanians.

A security official told Aljazeera that the explosions could have been caused by human bombers.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to address the media, said the dead included at least three Asians, possibly Chinese.

Two senior Palestinian officials, too, have been killed in the blasts, said the Palestinian envoy to Amman on Thursday.

Muashir said Jordan's land borders had been sealed and "more measures will be understaken soon". He did not elaborate.

Coordinated blasts

According to the Associated Press, the first explosion occurred at 8.50pm local time (1850 GMT) in or near the lobby of the Grand Hyatt.

A second blast followed shortly afterwards, hitting a wedding hall at the Radisson.

Aljazeera reporter Yassir Abu Hilala said the third blast hit a nightclub at the Days Inn.

Ameen Brother,

But I feel it will get much much worse before it gets better. First we will have to deal with a generation of terrorists who have gained experience fighting against the world's most sophisticated military; I don't think our own security forces will be able to handle them when they go back home :D

First israeli newspaper Ha’aretz reported something that is too good to be true: israelis evacuated before blast.

Then they retracted.

Similar conflicting reports happened before with London and 9/11.

Coverup? Maybe.

But the effect is also to strongly discredit those who accepted the initial report.

The Jewish Right, the neocons and the Likudniks, are the apparent terror masterminds.

But would you put it past the Jewish Left to practice disinformation in support of the Jewish Right?

After all, they are brothers and sisters, and they are known to stick together.

No truth to report of israeli evacuations before Amman bombs

By Yoav Stern, Haaretz Correspondent

There is no truth to reports that israelis staying at the Radisson SAS hotel in Amman on Wednesday were evacuated by Jordanian security forces before the bombing that took place there.

The israelis were escorted back to israel by Jordanian security personnel only after the attacks had taken place, contrary to earlier reports.

Al Qaida said Thursday that it had carried out the triple suicide bombings at the Radisson, Grand Hyatt and Days Inn hotels in downtown Amman, in which at least 57 people, including an israeli, were killed.

Now I know thezman , that you would like this "story" to be true , :D therefore implying some "complicity " in the bombings by israelis , but my poor boy , you must stick to the truth , and the facts . But sadly , it sure does look like the "non-existant " Al Zarqawi and Al-Qaida are behind it .

Sorry ....maybe next bombing huh ? B)

p.s. isn't it funny or "co-incidental " that after 9/11 the same "evacuation stories" broke out all over the middle -east ?

It's extremely Revolting that you find the bombings amusing...

Why even voice or wish that there be another bombing, so "we can get it right?"...

Apparenty you think that your cool for making that statement ,

since it wasn't enough for you to say it,

but to also add an emoticon to hammer home your immaturity and insensitivity :D

You do ? I find it extremely revolting , how quick a story is jumped upon when it favors a political view no matter how incredible .

No I dont find bombings amusing . I do however find the dance of denial morbidly amusing .

And the recurrence of such stories , more than just coincidental .

It smacks of bigotry .

And again as usual , thezman, you miss the sarcasm . And again add an insult .

How's about some of the more "sensitive and mature "posters , who were so quick to "run with the story " , to qualify that story as FALSE ? No one ever stated the Haaretz article was one in which "alleged reports " were denied .

Aspersions are cast , but never retracted , regardless of their veracity

Ahhh but it's much easier to insult me , for pointing that out .

p.s. WHERE DO YOU FIND IN MY STATEMENT A WISH ??? I think any wishes inferred or implied , would be for someone to find an israeli involvement in the Jordanian bombing , which in all truth is the basis for such a story to begin with .

No truth to report of israeli evacuations before Amman bombs

Suicide Attacks Kill At Least 57 At 3 Hotels In Jordan's Capital

By-Ashraf Khalil, Ranya Kadri and Josh Meyer,

Special to the Times

November 10 2005

"the israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that israelis staying at the Radisson on Wednesday had been evacuated before the attacks and escorted back home "apparently due to a specific threat."

Amos N. Guiora, a Former Senior israeli Counter-Terrorism Official, said in a phone Interview with the Times that Sources in israel had also told him about the Pre-Attack Evacuations.

"It means there was Excellent Intelligence that this thing was going to happen," said Guiora,

a Former Leader of the israel Defense Forces who now heads the Institute for Global Security Law and Policy at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

"the question that needs to be answered is why weren't the Jordanians working at the hotel similarly removed?"

Al-Zarqawi Threatens to Kill Jordan's King

From AP:

An audiotape purportedly from the head of al-Qaida in Iraq said Friday the group's suicide bombers did not intend to bomb a Jordanian wedding party at an Amman hotel last week, killing about 30 people. The speaker on the tape, identified as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, also threatened to kill Jordan's King Abdullah II and bomb more hotels and tourist sites.

"Your star is fading. You will not escape your fate, you descendant of traitors. We will be able to reach your head and chop it off," al- Zarqawi said, referring to the king.

Al-Zarqawi told Jordanians to stay away from bases used by U.S. forces in Jordan; hotels and tourist sites in Amman, the Dead Sea and the southern resort of Aqaba; and embassies of governments participating in the war in Iraq _ saying those areas would be targeted.

Al-Zarqawi said the bomber who detonated his explosives in the Radisson SAS hotel on Nov. 9 was targeting a hall where he claimed israeli and American intelligence officials were meeting.

That bomb caused part of the roof to fall in the wedding hall.

"We didn't target them. Our target was halls being used by Zionist intelligence who were meeting there at the time," he said. "Our brothers knew their targets with great precision."

Al-Zarqawi accused the Jordanian government of hiding casualties among israeli and American intelligence agents, and he insisted al-Qaida in Iraq was not targeting fellow Muslims.

"We want to assure you that ... you are more beloved to us than ourselves," al-Zarqawi said, addressing Jordanians...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I guess the bomber didn't know he was sitting then standing on a table ....in the middle of a wedding ....... I imagine he thought it a "zionist " wedding filled with American and israeli spys ....yea the kids too .

Well when you zarqawi did :D always keep in mind Who is actually behind him :D .

No Al Faqeer ....YOU keep in mind WHO is behind him ....because THAT is binding on YOUR conscience NOT mine .

I warned a few weeks back that this barbarian would become harder and harder to defend , and now you display the inevitable :

Now you are basically saying -

"he is yours -not ours "

Yea -ok Al Faqeer , whateeeeeever you say . :D

Al Faqeer ....it is rather glaringly obvious, that you are desperate in your attempts to explain him away , and you are grasping for straws . :D
