[email protected] 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Assalamu Alaikum Lafzo pe nahi, matlab pe gaur kare prayer jo hum par FARZ kar di gayi FAJAR...Bister mein ZOHAR...Naukri mein ASAR...Chai mein MAGHRIB...Raastey mein ISHA...TV mein Na Durood, Na Quran.. Ye kaisa hai Musalmaan? Phir kehte 'kyu nahi hai Allah hum par meharbaan'? Toh prayer parho, is se pehle ke tumhari prayer parhi jaaye....

[email protected] 0 Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Walaikumassalam bro samy It means: so pray your prayers before a prayer is read over you (meaning the Janazah prayer) Edited March 19, 2008 by [email protected]
[email protected] 0 Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Assalamu Alaikum Here's my attempt at translating all of it, my urdu isn't perfect so maybe someone can correct any mistakes.. Take heed of the message, not the words.. The Salat that has been made FARD upon us.. FAJR...In your bed ZOHAR...In your job ASAR...Having tea MAGHRIB...On your way back (from work) ISHA...Watching TV No Durood, no Quran..What kind of Muslim is this? Then you ask "Why has Allah not blessed us"? So pray your prayers before your prayer is read (over you)... Edited March 19, 2008 by [email protected]
Aamina 0 Posted March 19, 2008 :sl: The translation is spot on, except the word "meharbaan", it is defined as 'blessed' which is right, but as I read the Urdu text, I translated meharbaan as "favor", "gracious", "generous" or even "bounteous". Then you ask, why isn't Allah favorable/gracious/bounteous/generous on us? So pray your prayers, before a prayer is read over you :sl: for the poem.

[email protected] 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Assalamu Alaikum JazakAllahkhair for the correction sister Aamina, "meharbaan" was one of the words I was unsure about, also the word "gaur kere" at first I thought it should be "concentrate" but wasn't sure..
