Cloud of Islam by Zain Bhikha

You know, from the start

A message was sent from above

A message so clear and so true

A message so final for you

The time has come

To let the whole world know

This message of peace and love

Came only from Allah above...

Have faith, step onto the cloud of Islam

And you will discover the light of Iman

Proclaim this message entrusted to you

And the cloud of Islam... will carry you

You know, for all Man

messengers were sent to guide

From Adam to Nuh to Musa

Ibrahim, Ismail, Isa

Then came, Muhammad

the last and final messenger

confirming what was said before

perfecting this deen of Allah

Have faith, step onto the cloud of Islam

And you will discover the light of Iman

Proclaim this message entrusted to you

And the cloud of Islam... will carry you

I know that its not always easy to see

the difference from right and wrong, what would it be

but people this message lies here in our hands

Happiness, peace and the answer for Man

Have faith, step onto the cloud of Islam

And you will discover the light of Iman

Proclaim this message entrusted to you

And the cloud of Islam... will carry you

So now, dont you see

Inviting to Allah should be

every Muslims responsibility

Everybody, you and me.

Have faith, step onto the cloud of Islam

And you will discover the light of Iman

Proclaim this message entrusted to you

And the cloud of Islam... will carry you

Mount Hira - by Zain Bhikha

The same moon, the same star

Gazed right down at Rasulullah

They saw him climb, down from Hira

Now a Prophet, Prophet of Allah

And in the sky, was angel Jibrael

He said oh Muhammad, o Rasulullah.

And so he walked, into Makkah

In his heart echoed Iqra, Iqra

And from the world, darkness was gone

With salvation, rising with dawn

Fro here was a blessing, a gift from Allah

And the light of Muhammad, outshone that star.

Muhammad is, and always will be

The last and final Prophet of Allah

He was a mercy, unto the universe

Peace and blessings be on Al- Mustafa.

Se he began, this perfect man

Sending his word, across the land

Leading only, by his Sunnah

And the Quran, the word of Allah

He brought the answer to this cruel world

Our beloved Prophet, Muhamamad.

Muhammad is, and always will be

The last and final Prophet of Allah

He was a mercy, unto the universe

Peace and blessings be on Al- Mustafa.

So from that cave, in Mount Hira

To the holy city, of Madinah

In life and death, he showed Islam

Opened our hearts to the wealth of Iman

So oh Allah, hear my dua

Keep me as part of the Prophet’s ummah.

Muhammad is, and always will be

The last and final Prophet of Allah

He was a mercy, unto the universe

Peace and blessings be on Al- Mustafa.

The same moon, the same star

Gazed right down at Rasulullah

They saw him climb, down from Hira

Now a Prophet, Prophet of Allah

And in the sky, was angel Jibrael

He said oh Muhammad, o Rasulullah

He said oh Muhammad, Nabi of Allah

He said oh Muhammad, Prophet of Allah.

Fortunate is He- by Zain Bhikha

Fortunate is he

Who remembers Allah abundantly

Will lead abstrictions cannot mild his way

His thoughts of Allah and judgement day.

Fortunate is he

Who remembers Allah abundantly

Will lead abstrictions cannot mild his way

His thoughts of Allah and judgement day.

Righteous is he

Who bows to one he cannot see

Whose deeds do not spring without Bismillah

Fulfilling his tasks with perfect taqwah.

Devowed is he

Who supplicates to Allah intensively

Whose heart is merciful, tender and kind

His gaze on life after this world will be high.

Prosperous is he

Who spends his wealth on the poor and needy

Who speaks a kind word to kid and neighbour

Ever grateful for Allah’s favour.

Guided is he

Who prays Allah with punctuality

Early morning Tahajjud he prays

For Allah’s pleasure and earnest he prays.

God- fearing is he

Who contemplates death early

Who starts he sees his demands

And tears for over waste of sacrifice.

Blessed is he

Who sees Allah’s praises fervently

Blessed be all of Allah’s slaves

Allah’s mercy be with them always.

Fortunate is he

Who remembers Allah abundantly

Will lead abstrictions cannot mild his way

His thoughts of Allah and judgement day.

Go Forward Young Muslims - by Zain Bhikha

Go forward young Muslims

Wherever you are.

In the shadow of the sun ,

Or by the light of a star.

Your supreme protector is almighty Allah.

Go forward young Muslims wherever you are.

Go forward young Muslims

Whoever you are.

Press forward and forward

To the light of Allah.

And repeat and repeat

Alhumdullillah.

Go forward young Muslims whoever you are.

Go forward young Muslims

Say Bismillah

Together we shall stand

For the pleasure of Allah

He’ll forgive us all

Say Inshallah

Go forward young Muslims Alhumdullillah!

Go forward young Muslims wherever you are.

Go forward young Muslims Alhumdullillah!

Have You Heard?- by Zain Bhikha

Each day we are reminded

And each day we say

There’s not much that we can do

It seems so far away

So we live our lives in silence

Pretending not to hear

The voices of our people

That cries oh so clear

Why do we stand by spectating?

While our brothers cry Jihad

We are bound by one conviction

We believe in Allah!

Have you heard of Kosova?

Of Afghanistan?

Have you heard of Palestine?

Of Shishan?

Have you heard of all these people?

Persecuted in their land.

Don’t you know that all these people

Are dying for Islam!

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Each day is like another,

Nothing seems to change.

Today he lose his brother,

Tomorrow’ll be the same.

Yet his faith makes him stronger.

He’s come oh so far.

The pain in his heart hardens,

By his love for Allah.

Oh I envy you my brother,

In adversity you pray!

You know that heaven awaits you,

At the end of this day!

Have you heard of Kosova?

Of Afghanistan?

Have you heard of Bosnea?

Of Shishan?

Have you heard of all these people?

Persecuted in their land.

Don’t you realise that your people

Are dying for Islam!

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Have you heard of Kosova?

Of Afghanistan?

Have you heard of Palestine?

Of Shishan?

Have you heard of all these people?

Persecuted in their land.

Don’t you know that all these people

Are dying for Islam!

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard?

Have you heard? Have you heard?

I Am A Muslim- by Zain Bhikha

When I was born,

The first words that I had heard,

Were the words of Allah,

Be whispered through my ears,

And as I felt Allah’s power in my soul,

The day Islam took me in its’ fold.

I am a Muslim,

Islam's my deen,

Allah my Lord,

His word Quran,

Mohamed Prophet,

Praise be upon him.

I’m a Muslim for all of time.

As I grew up,

Walking in this great big world,

I gazed in awe at the wonders of Allah.

And as I learnt the cruel lessons of life,

Islam shone through as my guiding light.

I am a Muslim,

Islam's my deen,

Allah my Lord,

His word Quran,

Mohamed Prophet,

Praise be upon him.

I’m a Muslim for all of time.

Look at me now,

Family around my death bed.

I know not when Allah will call me home.

The life I led oh what a blessed thing!

As death comes to me these words I will sing.

I am a Muslim,

Islam's my deen,

Allah my Lord,

His word Quran,

Mohamed Prophet,

Praise be upon him.

I’m a Muslim for all of time.

I am a Muslim,

Islam's my deen,

Allah my Lord,

Praise be upon him.

I’m a Muslim for all of time.

Lord of All the Worlds -by Zain Bhikha

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

In the name of Allah

Lord of all the worlds

There is no God but him

The living and eternal.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

His throne extends over

The heavens and the earth

He alone do we worship

He alone we ask for help.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Show us the straight path

The path of those you love

Protect us from all evil

From the path of those astray.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Oh Provider of all things

To you we turn each day

Oh merciful creator

Only to you we pray.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Allah hu ya Allah

Hu ya Allah hu.

Allah hu ya Allah

Orphan Child - by Zain Bhikha

She was just standing there

Little girl all alone

Barely covered head to toe

Barely just twelve years old.

Why is she all alone?

Why’s the world just so cold?

Why don’t we play our part?

What is hard in our heart?

What is hard in our heart?

Underneath the waterfall

Million dollar shopping mall

Two boys play their games

Helps to keep them nice and warm

Thousand people walking by

Feeding their vain desire

Don’t they see? Are they blind?

Allah loves the orphan child

Allah loves the orphan child.

Like our beloved Muhammad

Peace be upon him

He was an orphan and Allah sheltered him

Whose status is given to these children, children.

Just by the waterside

Right next to that orphan child

Families come to play

They don’t see that’s where she stays.

Looking through empty eyes

Who cares that she might die?

Oh my child don’t you cry

Allah loves you more than I

Allah loves you more than I.

She was just standing there

Barely just twelve years old

What is hard in our hearts?

Why’s the world just so cold?

She was just standing there

Barely just twelve years old

What is hard in our hearts?

Why’s the world just so cold?

She was just standing there

Barely just twelve years old

What has hardened our hearts?

Why’s the world just so cold?

She was just standing there

Barely just twelve years old

What has hardened our hearts?

Why’s the world just so cold?

Out of Sight, Out of Mind - by Dawud Wharnsby Ali

Well here we are shattered like our home

Well here we are frightened and alone

And we’ve returned to a land of fear

Holding back the images and tears

But where are those who understand the pain

To teach us truth to live in hope again

The guns have stopped

But horrors still the same

They gave us food but our thirsty souls remain

Do you hear the call of the Adhan

Is this for me please help me understand.

Well here we are out of sight and out of mind

Well there you are won’t you be so kind

They say a prayer for the future of Islam

They spilt our blood because of our Iman

Who will build these houses of Allah

Who’ll help erase the evil that we saw

Come stand with us a day will surely come

When our Jihaad brings hope to everyone

Here we are struggling to survive

Yes here we are wounded by the lies

Do you hear the call of the Adhan

Is this for me please help me understand

Well here we are hoping day and night

That you will respond

Although we’re out of sight.

Silent Sunlight - by Dawud Wharnsby Ali

In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

By the glorious morning light and by the night when it is still,

Your guardian Lord has not forsaken you, nor is he displeased.

And verily the hereafter is better for you than the present.

And soon will your guardian Lord give you that,

Where with you will be well pleased.

Did he not find you an orphan and give you shelter?

And he found you wandering and he gave you guidance?

And he found you in need and he made you independent?

Therefore treat not the orphans with harshness,

Nor repulse the petitioner,

In the bounty of your Lord, proclaim!

Lailahaillaallah

Lailahaillaallah

Silent sunlight,

Welcome in,

There is work I must now begin.

All my dreams have blown away,

And the children wait to play.

They’ll soon remember,

Things to do when the heart is young,

And the night is done,

And the sky is blue.

Lailahaillaallah

Lailahaillaallah

Morning songbird sing away,

Learn the tune to another day.

Bring your wings and choose a groove,

Sing a song of love and truth.

We’ll soon remember if you do,

When all things were tall,

And our friends were small,

And the world was new.

Lailahaillaallah

Lailahaillaallah

Sleepy horses heave away,

Put your backs to a golden hay.

Don’t ever look behind at the work you’ve done,

For your work has just begun.

They’ll be the evening in the end,

But till that time arrives ,

You can rest your eyes and begin again.

Lailahaillaallah,

Silent sunlight,

Lailahaillaallah,

Morning song,

Lailahaillaallah,

Silent sunlight,

Welcome in!

Wedding Song - by Zain Bhikha

Today you become man and wife,

Fulfilling the Sunnah as way of life.

Today you find serenity,

May your life be filled with sincerity.

There is no happier day of your life,

Than the virtue of being man and wife!

There’s joy without any end,

Allah’s blessing on this day does descend,

Descend!

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Zawajun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Nikahu bin sunnati

Ma kalan nabio wasshaheed

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

As you walk together hand in hand

Allah has given you a companion and friend

To stand and always be seen

As man and wife fulfilling the deen

From this day and forever be true

Cherish this life that’s destined for you

Live your life with kindness and care

Remember Allah will always be there,

Be there!

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Zawajun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Nikahu bin sunnati

Ma kalan nabio wasshaheed

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

There is joy there is happiness

In this union let them always be blessed

Allah will bless your home with light

Your heart with never ending delight

Two worlds today have now become one

The road ahead is as bright as the sun

Oh Allah! Keep this marriage so strong

In your hands does their future belong,

Belong!

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Zawajun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Nikahu bin sunnati

Ma kalan nabio wasshaheed

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Zawajun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

Nikahu bin sunnati

Ma kalan nabio wasshaheed

Nikahun mubarakun

Mubarakun!

The Veil - by Dawud Wharnsby Ali

They say oh poor girl you’re so beautiful you know

It’s a shame that you cover up your beauty so

She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly

This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me

This body that I have no stranger has the right to see

These longs clothes the shawl I wear

Ensure my modesty

Faith is more essential fashion

Wouldn’t you agree

This hijab this mark of piety.

Is an act of faith a symbol

For all the world to see

A simple cloth to preserve her dignity

So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.

They tell her girl don’t you know this is the west and you are free

You don’t need to be oppressed ashamed of your femininity

She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly

See the billboards and the magazines

That line the checkout aisles

With their phony painted faces and their air brushed smile

With their sheer clothes and low cut gowns

They are really not for me

You call it freedom and I call it anarchy

And this hijab this mark of piety.

Is an act of faith a symbol

For all the world to see

A simple cloth to preserve her dignity

So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.

Lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity .

Lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity.

Turn to Allah - by Zain Bhikha

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

North, south, east or the west?

Where are you headed?

Oh where are you headed?

Turn to Allah.

He’s the best.

Cause he is there wherever you are.

So turn, turn, turn to Allah.

Where do you live?

Oh where do you live?

In a tent or in a town?

It doesn’t matter where you live.

You can soon be found.

Cause he is there wherever you are.

So turn, turn, turn to Allah.

Allah hu Allah hu

Jalla jalla la hu.

Why Are the Drums So Silent?- by Dawud Wharnsby Ali

All the sounds that surround us

All the noices that dumbfound us

The clatter and the clammer of the clutter in our lives.

Cars and streets make silent shatter

Idle minds fill up with idle chatter

If we fill our void that's all matters.

Why are the drums so silent?

Why can't we hear the rhythm?

What's wrong with you and I?

Why are the drums so silent?

Why can't we hear the rhythm from the heels of believers

Marching to the garden as they strive.

We've digitised the revelation

Does our rehearsed recitation

Go any deeper than our thrones.

Our call to prayer seems to raise up to the sky

Conferences and lectures, seminars for you and I.

The words that blow away with then a sheet that

makes us cry.

Why are the drums so silent?

Why can't we hear the rhythm?

What's wrong with you and I?

Why are the drums so silent?

Why can't we hear the rhythm from the heels of believers

Marching to the garden as they strive.

And if we can just be brave enough to be each others meer.

We may finally recognise the face of conscience that we fear

And if we can take the time to mute the noise

we’ve built around ourselves

The rhythm of a heartbeat and the purpose may be clear.

If we beat the drums

(A whisper of peace)

Beat the drums

(Moving through the land)

Beat the drums!

If we beat the drums of hope and faith

We will all fall into rhythm

I have faith in you and I

If we beat the drums of hope and faith

Then we will feel the rhythm

From our footsteps and our striving marching to the

garden as we thrive.

If we beat the drums of hope and faith

We will all fall into rhythm

I have faith in you and I

If we beat the drums of hope and faith

Then we will feel the rhythm

From our footsteps and our striving marching to the garden

as we die.

Wisdom and Tea - by Dawud Wharnsby Ali

I’m looking back throughout the years

To breathe his heart and my eyes are choked with tears

Your face and hair are full of light

Now it will soon be time to go

I feel you feeling calm now

Did the angel let you know?

For all the wisdom and tea you gave to me

Let me offer something now

So warm and comforting and sweet

Can you hear me whisper to you as you sleep?

Laillahaillallah

Did you always understand?

Can you feel me take your hand?

Flowers, houseplants and I you helped us grow

Now, as I hold your cup how are you and I to know

I’ve care for you and looked for ends of paradise

As I bent to wash your feet

Our minutes fade like photographs

Of crowds from an evening street.

For all the wisdom and tea you gave to me

Let me offer something now

So warm and comforting and sweet

Can you hear me whisper to you as you sleep?

Laillahaillallah

Did you always understand?

Can you feel me take your hand?

I dreamt we sat in the kitchen

Like we used to having tea

The apparition vanished as in life’s reality

We will meet again

Is what I’m sure I felt her say

On the day when veils and secrets of the heart will be torn away.

For all the wisdom and tea you gave to me

Let me offer something now

So warm and comforting and sweet

Can you hear me whisper to you as you sleep?

Laillahaillallah

Did you always understand?

As I let go of your hand.

For all the wisdom and tea you gave to me

Let me turn to something now

So warm and meaningful and sweet

Allah give us peace in our final sleep

Laillahaillallah

Give us patience to understand

Ya gafuru ya rahman.

What is finally in the heart?

What is the final choice?

Allah knows and all that we can claim

Are just memories endeavour.

If you ask me who my God is

And whose name I call

If you ask me who my God is

He’s the God of us all

Allah the merciful.

If you ask me what my book is

That I hold in my hand

If you ask me what my book is

It’s the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran.

If you ask me who my Prophet is

I’ll say haven’t you heard

His name is Muhammad (SAW)

Have mercy to the world

Have mercy to the world.

Is you ask me who my enemy is

I’ll say don’t you know

If you ask me who my enemy is

He’s that same old devil

That same old devil.

Allah is Enough For Me- by Zain Bhikha

When he was thrown in the well

or locked in the dungeon

betrayed by his own flesh and blood

convicted of what he did not

handsome Yusuf sighed

Allah is enough for me!

handsome Yusuf sighed

Allah is enough for me!

Taken in as a slave

made to work night and day

resisting all temptation

Allah is enough for me!

Until the king had a dream

Many hard years had gone by

patience and repentance

Allah is enough for me!

Till...the fortunate day

there he sees his father

in the land of content

Allah is enough for me!

Handsome Yusuf cried

Allah is enough for me!

Every night brings a new day

Allah alleviates all pain

Everything has its end

Allah is enough for me!

Everything has its end

Allah is enough for me!

Everything has its end

Allah is enough for me!

Everything has its end

Allah is enough for me!

The Beautiful Story -Dawud Wharnsby Ali

We sipped our tea as he sat next to me,

Crossed-legged on the floor.

And he spoke of his youth thrown to the wolves,

A student of the hard ship of war.

Allah shaped him and moulded him to

A grateful and god fearing man.

The struggle of a nation burned in his eyes

As he relived his words of homeland.

Accused and abused he was stolen away,

No justice exists with no law.

Like the Prophet Yusuf he was thrown into prison

But they couldn’t cage his faith in Allah.

Oh the beautiful story of Yusuf!

Has so much to fill our lives.

A lesson in forgiveness and brotherhood,

We cannot compromise.

The power of patience and the fire of hope

Must burn in the hearts of the wise.

The beautiful story of Yusuf ,

Has so much to fill our lives.

It seemed like endless days

And morning less nights

His family so blind with concern.

Well he held tight to his hope

And his faith in Allah for the day they would see his return.

The guards laughing in the black of the night

As they kicked him and beat him raw,

And the blood and the dirt and the grime of the world,

And the dark side of man that he saw.

And in the minutes and months and years that tricked by,

Greying away his youth

He spent his hours in quite worship

And the silent jihad for the truth.

Oh the beautiful story of Yusuf!

Has so much to fill our lives.

A lesson in forgiveness and brotherhood,

We cannot compromise.

The power of patience and the fire of hope

Must burn in the hearts of the wise.

The beautiful story of Yusuf ,

Has so much to fill our lives.

He wiped tears from his cheek

With a smile on his face

Brushed the hair back from his daughter’s eyes.

And as she finished her lesson and closed her quran,

It was clear than to recognise.

Allah only tests those that he loves.

His little girl climbed up onto his knees.

Oh the words of Allah are clear to the world

After hardship will always come ease!

Oh the beautiful story of Yusuf!

Has so much to fill our lives.

A lesson in forgiveness and brotherhood,

We cannot compromise.

The power of patience and the fire of hope

Must burn in the hearts of the wise.

The beautiful story of Yusuf ,

Has so much to fill our lives.

The story of beautiful Yusuf

Has so much to fill our lives.

The Journey- by Zain Bhikha

All across ocean and land.

Incumbant on all man.

Is the pilgrimage to Mecca.

Fifth pillar of Islam.

In the footsteps of Mohamed.

The last Prophet of Allah.

Allah! Bow down!

Bow down and praise Allah.

For sight of the Ka’abah.

Break down and praise Allah.

The path, this journey from a far,

To the city of Mecca,

To strenghten what we believe in

The voyage we undertake,

You’re the echo in the wind

Labaik Allahum labaik.

Labaik! Bow down.

Break down and praise Allah.

It isn’t always easy

There is so much we don’t know.

So many people in this world,

Just don’t know which way to go.

But if our iman prevails,

We’ll always do our very best.

We’ll be the strongest of Muslims.

And we’ll survive the greatest test.

Test! Bow down!

Bow down to you Allah.

Maka mu karama.

Break down and praise Allah.

Here we are.

Leaving Minah.

Conviction in our hearts.

Crying out to the heavens.

On the plains of Arafah.

Standing proudly side by brother

Silent at Mujdalifah

Allah! Bow down!

Bow down and praise Allah.

For sight of the Ka’abah.

Break down and praise Allah.

Bow down!

Bow down to you Allah.

Maka mu karama.

Break down and praise Allah.

Bow down to you Allah.

Maka mu karama.

Break down and praise Allah.

Ishmael, son of Ibrahim,

Lay on the burning sand,

With his mother running frantically,

Between Safa and Marwa,

From the sky came angel Jibrael,

Brought a blessing from Allah.

Allah! Bow down!

Bow down and praise Allah.

For sight of the Ka’abah.
