Trans: O Allah! Possessor of the kingdom. You give the kingdom to whom you

will and you take the kingdom from who you will and you endue with honour

whom you will and you humiliate whom you will. In your hand is the good.

Verily, you are able to do all things. You make the night to enter to the

day and you make the day to enter into the night (i.e. Increase and decrease

in the hours of the night and day during summer and winter); you bring the

living out of the dead and you bring the dead out of the living. And you

give wealth and sustenance to whom you wi.. without limit (measure or

account). O the most Gracious of this world and the hereafter and the most

Merciful of both places. You give to whom you wish from both places and you

prevent from whomsoever you wish. You shower such mercies on me that will

grant me independence from the mercies of those besides you.

Hi Everyone,

This is a prayer that I say often:

To thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

O my Lord, in thee I trust, let not my enemies exult over me.

Yea, let none that wait for thee be put to shame; let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach men, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long. Amen.

It is Psalms 25:1-5

Take care everyone

Bye

Guest muhsinmuttaqi

Assalamu Aleikum

Radheetu billahee rabban wa bi Muhammadan Rasoolan wa bil Islami deenan

I am pleased with Allah as my Rabb and with Muhammad as the messenger of Allah and with Islam (Submission) as my deen.

Before I go to the Masjid my favourite du'aa is:

Allahummaj'al fee qalbee nooran, wa fee lisaanee nooran, wa fee sam'ee nooran, wa fee basaree nooran, wa min fauqee nooran, wa'an shimaalee nooran, wa min amaamee nooran, wa min khalfee nooran, waj'al fee nafsee nooran, wa a'dhim lee nooran, wa 'adhdhem lee nooran, waj'al lee nooran, waj'alnee nooran, Allahumma a'tinee nooran, waj'al fee 'asabee nooran, wa fee lahmee nooran, wa fee damee nooran, wa fee sha'ree nooran, wa fee basharee nooran. Allahummaj'al lee nooran fee qabree wa nooran fi 'idhaamee. Wa zidnee nooran, wa zidnee nooran, wa zidnee nooran. Wa hab lee nooran 'alaa noor. Ihdinas Siratal Mustaqeem.

Oh Allah, place light in my heart and on my tongue light and in my ears light and in my sight light and behind me light and before me light and to my right light and to my left light and above me light and below me light.

Oh Allah, place light in my soul. Magnify for me light and amplify for me light. Make a light for me and make me a light. Grant for me light.

Place light in my nerves and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light {and in my flesh light and in my mind light}.

Make for me light in my grave and place light in my bones. Increase me in light, increase me in light, increase me in light, grant me light upon light.

light = light, knowledge, wisdom, eeman, bliss etc.

In the night prayer I like to supplicate:

Alhamdulillah!

You are the Light of the heavens and the earth

You are the Keeper of the heavens and the earth

You are the Rabb of the heavens and the earth and of all creation

You are the truth (al-Haqq) and you speech is the truth and you promise is the truth. And your mercy and forgivenness is the truth. Meeting you is the inevitable truth. Jannah is the truth. Jahannam is the truth. All the prophets and the angels are the truth. The unseen is the truth. The hour and the Day of Judgment is the truth.

Oh Allah, I submit to you and I surrender to your will because I believe in you

I depend on you and I repent to you. For your cause I wish to strive and for your cause I wish to die. According, to your law, according to your Will I want to live.

So please forgive me my sins, sins from the past and those from the future, the sins I do in secret and the sins I do openly. And accept my repentance.

Oh Rabb, make the best of my deeds the last one, and the best of my life the end of it and the best of my days the Day I meet you!

La ilaha illallah Muhammadar Rasoolullah

Ihdinas siratal mustaqeem

Salam

Some dua's in wake of Tsunami disaster, for all the remaining people to protect yourselves with....

PROTECTION AGAINST EVIL FATE AND SEVERE CALAMITIES

Rasulullah mentioned:

"O People! Seek Allah's protection against severe calamities, trials and tribulations, misfortunes wretchedness, evil fate and the taunts and malicious joy of the enemies." (MIRQAAT VOL.5, P.222)

Allahumma inni aoozubika min jahdil balai wadar-kish-shaqai, wasoo il qadhai, washama- tatil-adai.

PROTECTION AGAINST ALL HARM

Hazrat Abaan bin Uthmaan (R.A) narrates that he heard his father saying that Rasulullah mentioned:

"Whosever recites the following dua 3 times in the morning and evening, will not be harmed by anything." [MISHKAAT P.209]

Bismillahil lazee layad-huru ma'asmihi shayun fil ardhi walafis sama. Wahu -was sameel aleem.

ELIMINATION OF THE GRIEF OF BOTH THE WORLDS

Hazrat Abu Darda (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah mentioned:

"Whosoever recites 7 times morning and evening the following Dua, Allah Ta'ala will suffice for him by removing his grief of this world and the hereafter." [Roohulmaa'ni, P.53]

Hasbi-yallahu lailaha illahuwa alaihi tawak-kaltu wahuwa Rabbul ar-shil azeem.

"Allah sufficeth me. There is none worthy of worship but He alone. On Him is my trust, He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne."

O the bestower of benefits, O pardoner, O affectionate, protect me from that which you have forbidden by giving me lawful (sustenance), and keep me safe from disobeying You, let me always obey You, and save me, with Your grace, from others than You, with Your mercy, O the most merciful.

AOA:

Some of my favorites have already been posted. Here is one that I did not see on here but love:

Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer. (28:24)

O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou dost send me!"

Musa (AS) committed a murder of an Egypitian man unintentionally and had to flee from Egypt. Leaving everything dear to him in the land of Egypt where he had grown up, he had no idea whatsoever of what the future would hold for him. The only thing that was certain was that nothing in his life would be the same again. However, though it was not known to him, God already predestined certain events for him. Musa prayed the above dua.

One's sincerity in one's prayer is evidence in one's grasp of the fact that God has the power to do anything, that all blessings and adversities come only from Him, and that one has no other helper or protector other than God. Musa's prayer quoted in the above verse is the kind made in complete submission to God, by someone who has a full comprehension of this truth. Indeed, God answered Musa's sincere prayer and opened His mercy to him.

I love this story.

Salam my respected brothers and sister

A Comprehensive Dua

This is my favourite dua mention by our beloved prophet (saw)

Aboo Umaamah Al Baahily (radhiyallahu anhu) has reported that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) made many du'aa, over 23years, which we could not memorise. Therefore we mentioned this to him, and he replied, "Shall I tell you a comprehensive du'aa?" Then he said, Say

Allãhümma innâ nas’aluka min khayri ma sa’alaka minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallâhu alayhi wasallam, na’aüdhu bika min sharri masta’âdhaka minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallâhu a1ay wasallam, wa antal musta’ãnu wa alaykul balâghu walâ hawla walâ quwwata ilIâ billãh

O Allah (SWT), We beg of You all the good things which; been asked for from You by Your Messenger, Muhammad. And We seek Your protection from all the evil things from which Muhammad had asked Your protection. Help is sought from you and Your function is (only) to convey (the message of truth) and we have no ability or power to do good deeds or to avoid evil ones, except with the help of Allah (SWT). (Tirmidhi)

My favourite dua is the dua of our Prophet SAAW: SAYYID AL-ISTIGHFAR: O God, You are my Lord, there is no God, but You. You created me, and I am Your servant. I uphold Your covenant and Your promise to the best of my ability. I seek refuge in You from the faults of my own doing. I acknowledge the blessings You have showered upon me, and I acknowledge my shortcommings. So forgive me, for indeed, none forgives sins except You. :D

Rabbanaa atina fid dunia hasanah wafil aakhrati hasanah waqina azaabannaar

also there's one more of which i don't exactly remember the arabic words,

which meant :

may Allah make my best day my last one[the day i die], my best moment, the moment when i meet my lord

Ameen !

:D You have all put up beautiful dua's. :D

I thought I'd add some more, though they may not be my absolute favorites.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You, from a heart that does not fear, Eyes that do not tear, Ears that do not hear (your words), from a dua's that is not answered, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from the evils of my heart.

O, Allah, I ask you for your jannah. I ask you to walk with the prophets (Allahoma sallee alyhum), to stroll with the martyrs, to see Your loved ones, to Be of Your loved ones, to enter your jannah and hear "salaman quwallan min Rab-en Raheem".

:D Insha Allah, if i think of more, i will add.
