Salaam,

Bro,thats very kind of you to share the Dua. :D

Could you provide me with some information on the Dua,like the history of it maybe,or the other rewards for reading the Dua?

In other words some background information on the Dua?

If the Dua is not from the Quran or Hadith then where could it be from?

I do believe it was brought down with Gabriel to the Prophet (PBUH), some other rewards include, if one reads two rakat of salaat, saying Faatiha and then Ihlas in each rakat and then reads this dua, everything that which he wants in this and the afterlife will be his.

If someone is debt reads this dua, he will no longer be in debt. Whosoever reads this dua 5 times in a day shall see the Prophet (PBUH) in his dreams (this was confirmed by Abu Bakr). He who reads this dua, will have the angels make isti'far for him.

Osman (R.A) said," I could not memorize the Quran, when I read this dua, it gave me the ability to do so."

Ali (R.A) said, "Whosoever reads Fatiha, Ihlas, Kafirun, Falak and Suratal Nas three times and then reads this due will be safe from all that which may harm him.

If the dua is read to running water, the water will cease to flow. If it is read upon fire, that fire will stop to burn and if it is read upon a mountain, that mountain will crumble.

These are a very few of the rewards of this dua, all of it's rewards are uncountable.

In the time of hardness i recite this: La havla vela kuvvata billahil alayhil azeem.

The dua i say to our brothers and sister is: O Allah purify our hearts with your Noor then give us what our hearts ask from you (ameen).

The dua i recite after every Fard Salah is:

"Allahumma salli ala Sayyidina Muhammadin salatan tunjina biha min jami al ahwali wal afat

wa taqdi lana biha jami`a al hajjat

wa tutahiruna biha min jami`a as-sayyiat

wa tarfauna biha `indaka ala darajat

wa tubalighuna biha aqsa al ghayat min jami`a al khayrat fil hayati wa bad al mamat

wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallim tasliman kathira"

(which means:

O Allah pray on our Master Muhammad a prayer by means of which we will be saved from every awe-inspiring harmful thing,

and that will take care of all of our needs,

and purify us by means of it from all of our ugly qualities and characteristics

and raise us and purify us by means of it from all of our ugly qualities and characteristics

and raise us up by means of it in Your Presence to the highest of degrees,

and cause us to reach by means of it the extremes of all goodness in our life and after our death

and this prayer be upon his family and his companions

and may he be given safety and much salaam. )

In the book Riyadh Us Saleeheen Part 2

There is a hadith to te nearest meaning where a person once was bitten by a scorpion and went to Muhammad SAW and told him about it. The prophet replied if you would have read this dua you would have never been bitten at the first place :

Ah ouzou bika li ma tillahit tamati min sharri maa khalaq

And another one that offers protection from any harmful thing...

Bismilla hilla thee laa yadurru ma assmihii shay an fil ardi wa laa fiss sa maa wa huwass samee ul athuieem

Note - (the 'th' is the letter thaa not taa)

If you read this dua three times at night and three times in morning you will be protected from any calamity and harmful insects or animals etc throughout the whole day.

Basically you will be protected from anything.

asalaamualaykum,

I don't know if these two dua's have already been mentioned! there are so many beautiful dua's from the Quraan and the Hadith, alhamdulillah!

Two that come to mind are, as followed:

Dua you read after the adhaan

The Prophet (sa) said: “Whoever after listening to the Adhan says:

Allah humma raba ha-thi hida’wa titaamma

Oh Allah owner of this perfect call (of not ascribing partners to You)

Was’a-laatil qaa ema

And of the regular prayer which is going to be established!

A ti muhammadan, el wa see la ta, wal fa ‘deelah

Kindly give Muhammad the right of intercession and superiority

Wab ‘ath hu ma qaa-man mah-moo dan ela thee wa a’dta

And send him on the day of judgement to the best and the highest place in paradise which you promised him.

Then intercession for me will be permitted for him on the Day of Judgement†[bukhari]

^ Subhanallah!

Dua you read in the morning and evening

The Prophet Muhammad (sa) said: "The master of invocations for forgiveness is that the servant says:

'Allãhumma anta rabbee, laa 'ilãha 'illaa 'anta, khalaqtanee, wa a naa `abduka, wa 'anaa `ala `ahdika wa wa’ dika mas ta ta’ `tu, a`outhu bika min sharri maa sana’ tu, aboo u laka bini’ matika 'alayya, wa aboo u bithan bee, faghfirlee fa'innahu laa yagh fi ruthu nooba 'illaa 'anta.

O Allaah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am You servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You

Whoever says this as he enters upon evening, then, dies that night, he would enter Paradise; and if one says this as he enters upon morning, then, dies that day, he would enter Paradise". [bukhari]

^ Allahu Akbar!

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammadin, kama salaiyta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majeed.

*O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no deity except You. You are my Creator and I am your creature. I try to keep my covenant with You and to live in the hope of Your promise as well as I can. I seek refuge in You from my one evil deeds. I acknowledge Your favours to me; and I acknowledge my sins. Forgive me my sins, for there is no one who can forgive sins except You.

*O Allah! I ask you to make me pleased with what You decreed for me return to good life after death, and I earnestly seek the pleasure of looking at Your Glorious Countenance and the craving to meet you, without distress or affliction or misguiding trial. I seek refuge in You from oppressing others or being oppressed, from doing wrong or suffering wrong, and from committing an error or a sin, which you will not forgive.

*O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the feebleness of old age. O Allah! Guide me to the best of deeds and the best of morals, as none can guide to the best except You, and save me from bad deeds, as none can save me from what is bad except You.

*O Allah! I ask You for a resolute mind and firmness in following the guidance. I ask You to make me thankful for Your favour, to be good service to You, and to grant me a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You to grant me what You know to be good and to give me refuge from what is evil, and to forgive me – and You are the Knower of the Unseen.

*O Allah! You hear my words, You behold my situation, You know what is open and what is hidden within me; nothing is hidden from You. It is me alone who is in need, a humble seeker of Your forgiveness. I beseech You with humility in my heart, with trembling and fear, in prostration and utter helplessness.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammadin, kama salaiyta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majeed.
