The Grande Masjid in Bobo Dioulasso. This masjid is more than 100 years old, and it's design is common in the Sahel.

asalamu alaykum

a couple of days back ,while googling i stumbled across this beautiful picture of a masjid. it was when i first came to know of Burkina's Faso and that it had a Muslim population of around 55%. it gained independance from france in 1960. sadly though it had repeatedly military dictorial regimens afterwards( a situation in most of the muslim countries) and as a result it is one of the poorest nations in Africa.

im posting two more links about this beautiful but unknown country.
