I have this question where I am supposed to verify that the Hypotenuse of a right triangle is double than the size of the Median. The Median is from the right angle to the hypotenuse.

I used the Line formula to find the hypotenuse. W(-3,-1) V(1,-3). The Hypotenuse is 10.

Now... I don't know how to find a length of a median... to verify that infact the Median is 5.

Now for your question. You know that the median is a line drawn from the right angle to the hypotenuse, thereby dividing the hypotenuse in half. This also divides the triangle into 2 smaller triangles of equal area.

The hypotenuse of the smaller triangle, now, is one of the sides of the big triangle...the length of which you should know. Knowing that and that the other side has a length of half the original hypotenuse (5), you should be able to use pythagorean's theorem to solve for the length of the median...
