i have exactly the same problem-im doing gcses and nothing goes in

try reading a few pages of your notes-then write down everything you read on a piece of paper. then turn ure real notes over and check which bits u missed out

e.g look cover write

or you can just read your notes over and over again

make sure you have a break every hour or so and not to cram it all in

revising is different to every human being

some just read their notes

some learn them of by heaart etc

hope it helped :D

im doing my a2s as well, i know how difficult it is to revise, i havent started yet and my first paper is on the 14th!! :D

i wud recommend the tips that abu ubaydah said. all i can say is that it is different for different people. mashallah most of the time i can read a page and i will remember at least 70% of the stuff on it. what u need to do is test as many different methods as possible and see what works best for u. ::D

some additional ideas:

- spider diagrams

- lots of colour - highlighting etc

- using cue cards

- practise papers and internet sites

- doing exercises from ur txt books

- reading notes and then writing down what u remember.

- recording urself reading the notes on a casette/CD and then listening to it - helps it stick in ur brain for sum people.

- record the early morning BBC Bitesize programmes, though im not sure they do them for A2 Level.

hope they help, feel free to PM me if u need any additional help sis

:D
