Mushroom Pies

Mushroom Pies

 

Pastry: 2 cups self- raising flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoon butter

3/4 cup fresh cream

Combine all ingredients, make a soft dough with fresh cream.

 

Filling

1 cup chicken fillet, finely cubed

*2 tablespoon ghee

*1 small onion grated

*1 teaspoon garlic,

*1 teaspoon salt

*1 teaspoon lemon pepper

*2 teaspoon green chillies

*1 cup mushrooms, chopped

*1/4 cup water

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoon flour

1 cup grated cheese

 

Cook chicken with all ingredients* till tender and dry. Add milk and flour and stir well. Add cheese when cool.

Divide dough into 2 portions. Roll out and cut in rounds, place in muffin pans. Spoon filling over base. Cut rounds for the top, make 2 holes in each round and cover filling. Press edges to seal. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake at 180 till golden brown.
