Bread Rolls With A Variation

DELICIOUS BREAD ROLLS

 

 

7 CUPS FLOUR

HALF CUP SUGAR

1 TEASPOON SALT

1 PKT INSTANT YEAST

2 BEATEN EGGS

125 G BUTTER

4 CUPS LUKEWARM MILK

 

METHOD

 

MIX ALL DRY INGRED IN A BOWL

MELT BUTTER WITH MILK

ADD BEATEN EGGS INTO MILK MIXTURE.

BIND DOUGH WITH MILK MIXTURE.

LEAVE TO RISE UNTIL TWICE ITS SIZE.

KNEAD THE DOUGH AND SHAPE INTO BREAD OR BUNS.

PLACE ONTO GREASED TRAY.

LEAVE TO RISE UNTIL TWICE ITS SIZE.

BRUSH LIGHTLY WITH EGG.

BAKE AT 180 UNTIL DONE.

 

VARIATION:

SPREAD HALF THE DOUGH ON BAKING TRAY AND PLACE CHICKEN/VEGETABLE FILLING AND COVER WITH REMAINING DOUGH AND LEAVE TO RISE.

 

CHICKEN AND VEG FILLING:

 

1 KG CHICKEN FILLET (WASHED AND CUBED)

2 CHOPPED ONIONS

2 GRATED TOMATOES

1 TEASP GROUND GARLIC

.2 TEASP SALT

1 TEASP DHANIA POWDER

HALF TEASP JEERA POWDER

1 TEASP CHILLI POWDER

1 TEASP CRUSHED CHILLIES

HALF TEASP TURMERIC

2 TEASP POUNDED GREEN CHILLIES

2 TABLESP LEMON JUICE

COOK ABOVE INGRED ON LOW HEAT

 

VEGETABLES:

2 CUBED POTATOES

1½ CUP PEAS

1½ CUP SWEETCORN

 

METHOD

WHEN CHICKEN SIMMERS, ADD SPICES.

BOIL VEGETABLES IN SALTED WATER.

ADD TO CHICKEN AND TOSS.

ADD 2 TABLESP RED CHILLI CHUTNEY OR TOMATO SAUCE.
